29/05/2026: A must-stop on the road to Auvergne!

27/05/2026: For a highway rest stop, we ate some pretty good food that didn't cause any digestive problems. The staff were friendly despite the understaffing, which annoyed customers. We waited in line for over 30 minutes.

15/03/2026: The hotel is ideally located just steps from the gondola lifts to the slopes and close to all amenities! The included breakfast is a nice touch, with plenty of choice (both savory and sweet). We also tried the restaurant one lunchtime; our buckwheat crepes were delicious, made with fresh ingredients. We had a room with a magnificent mountain view! I'm deducting one star for the room simply because there were small black stains scattered all over the sheets, as well as a very unpleasant smell (like tobacco) in the bathroom. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and we thank the lady who greeted us upon arrival for her friendliness and professionalism.

11/03/2026: We had a wonderful stay in Auron! Everything was absolutely perfect. The food at TACA D'OLI was delicious, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The location is ideal, allowing you to fully enjoy the surrounding area and winter sports! A huge thank you also for the fondue, which was simply exquisite, thanks to Florence's excellent advice and culinary talents 👍😉, and the crepes were to die for! Bravo, bravo, bravo! Thank you to Titi and Florence for their kindness and warm welcome. They are truly fantastic hosts! ♥️

06/06/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant regularly since it reopened and highly recommend it. It has everything you need for a wonderful experience enjoying a quality meal. The food, carefully prepared by an excellent chef, is delicious and generous. The service is simply exceptional, warm, and personalized. The owner, his wife, their daughters, and all the staff demonstrate remarkable kindness, always with a smile and a rare level of hospitality. In short: high-quality dishes, very reasonable prices, and absolutely outstanding service. We recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

10/07/2026: Much better since they changed management. Better pizza, but it changes from Saturday to Sunday; I have the feeling it's under different ownership... but still good. Fast service and friendly, efficient staff.

28/06/2026: I highly recommend this establishment. The welcome was incredibly warm, the managers were ready to meet all your needs, and from experience, it's the ideal place for a marriage proposal. The waitress had an ever-present smile, which made our meal enjoyable, and the local cuisine was fresher than in other restaurants. Thank you again for your hospitality, and I look forward to returning to eat at your restaurant.

04/06/2026: A huge disappointment. I booked for 12 people for my wedding. Two sweetbreads were very questionable, with very firm pieces that didn't resemble sweetbreads at all. Three sirloin steaks were very fatty, tough, and full of gristle. I think that, out of politeness, some of my guests didn't comment on their meals. The service was impeccable; the waitress and waiter were very responsive, friendly, and warm. I didn't eat my sirloin steak; it was too tough. I had asked for it rare. We didn't order any aperitifs or desserts; this had been arranged with the owner. However, we still consumed two bottles of red wine, one bottle of white wine, and one soft drink, for a total bill of over €70. This can compensate for the aperitifs. Changing the menu six days in advance is a respectful timeframe; we're not denigrating anyone, as you say. And we weren't an hour late; we were scheduled for 1:15 pm. If I round it up, we were 15 minutes late. I called to let them know.

10/07/2026: Superb Greek salad + rosé wine on a perfect terrace! Fast service.

10/07/2026: Very basic Caesar salad, canteen style. Hygiene was so-so. The waiter wiped the table with his hand, putting crumbs on the chair where I was about to sit.

02/04/2026: Hello, I wanted to know if the restaurant has relocated somewhere… it was truly amazing, what a shame it closed!!!

25/02/2026: The restaurant is quite nice; my dish was good, although a bit large. The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes. The service is efficient and the waitresses are very friendly. Good experience.

09/07/2026: Excellent beachfront restaurant! Good, refined cuisine, all homemade. Friendly waitresses. We came with three children, and the service was quick. Very reasonable prices for such good food. For once, this isn't a restaurant that's just taking advantage of its location. A very pleasant surprise.

08/07/2026: A wonderful discovery! The welcome was warm, the staff friendly and attentive. The dishes were generous, delicious, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was quick. We had a fantastic time and will gladly return. I highly recommend L'Aigle Rouge in Rennes!

27/06/2026: Avoid the seafood; it was completely tasteless. It's a shame there were no finger bowls. The service was efficient but unfriendly. On the plus side, the meat was quite tasty. In short, a disappointing experience considering the price of the menu.

15/06/2026: we wanted to rediscover this place with the new cuisine served. Unfortunately my friend got sick from the fish served at lunch, i did try it first, and thought something was off, she had 4 bites. As the dish was not eaten the waitress asked us why, we stated the dish was "fishy" and uneatable . Well unfortunately my friend did get sick within 2 hours. Also side note, we were not even proposed a replacement dish , nothing business as usual... we basically paid to get sick🫩.

13/06/2026: This restaurant in the 11th arrondissement was a pleasant surprise. The food is carefully prepared, unique, and of excellent quality. Excellent service is provided by young, friendly staff. The beautiful setting with an open kitchen is well-kept and pleasant. Two flaws, in my opinion: the music isn't really background music and amplifies the buzz in the room, and the paper napkins clash with the service text.

13/06/2026: We went for dinner service; the staff is super friendly, and the desserts are generous—we'll definitely be back. A special mention for the young waiter who was smiling and incredibly kind.

12/06/2026: A very disappointing experience, unfortunately. We came at the beginning of the season, on a weekday, when the beach was almost empty: about six people for around thirty available sunbeds. My friend was simply trying to get her baby to sleep on a free sunbed, located right next to ours and slightly more shaded. An employee then approached us in a particularly abrupt manner to inform us that this sunbed would be charged. That this rule exists is one thing, and we would have perfectly understood it if it had been explained to us with a modicum of kindness. We immediately apologized and were understanding. What bothered us, therefore, was not the substance of the matter, but the manner in which it was handled: a curt tone and an unnecessarily authoritarian attitude in what was, in fact, a very simple situation. The rest of the service only reinforced this negative impression. At €22, the aperitif consisted of a portion of guacamole served in a jam-like jar with a few pieces of bread and some crisps. The salmon and mango carpaccio was practically unseasoned. As for the coffee, we had to go all the way to the bar to ask for it. Beyond the prices, which everyone will judge according to their own criteria, it was above all the feeling of not being welcome that struck us. In an establishment with such an exceptional setting, one expects a welcome to match. A smile, a little tact, and consideration are sometimes worth more than any service. We left with the feeling of having been a nuisance rather than being received. It's regrettable, and for this reason, we won't be returning.

19/07/2026: We were greeted by a young waiter, if only the rest had been as pleasant. We ordered a Savoyard fondue but received a block of melted cheese swimming in a pool of liquid. The taste was still decent, despite a few pieces of bread as hard as rocks. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of eating outside and paid the price with a swarm of various insects flying around us, as well as the fondue fire going out repeatedly. We then asked an older waiter if it would be possible to change tables and reheat the fondue. It seems this man was in the middle of a McDonald's rush because he spoke to us in a way that made us miss the conversation. He ended up refusing to move us because "it's nice outside" and brought us back the burnt fondue. As a result, we had insects in our cocktails and in the fondue...

13/07/2026: Very nice. The pasta with the Parmesan wheel was a nice touch, of course. The burger was also very good.

28/07/2026: 50-minute wait for 3 pizzas! All that just to send me to their industrial pizza-making machine. The pizzas were yellow, undercooked, and not very good (I had indigestion the next day). The service wasn't friendly! …disappointed. I definitely don't recommend it. The locals had advised us against this pizzeria (Pizza Dom a Domino is unfortunately closed), and given how they treat tourists… Note: the pizza maker took less time to answer, in my opinion, than it took to make 3 well-cooked pizzas…

15/12/2025: We had lunch, the meal was good. However, the service was not at all friendly, and for that reason alone I won't be going back.

17/04/2026: We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the suite...very functional with a shower and a whirlpool bath. THANK YOU! The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine, but for us older folks, it was a bit too heavy, especially in the evening. They offer children's menus, which would be great, especially in the evening. Consider a lighter menu: soup and various vegetables, as well as a dairy dessert or a piece of fruit! Something to think about for seniors.

16/04/2026: The hotel is really only usable in the summer and when the sun is shining brightly enough. There's no heating system, and I wouldn't want to subject the air conditioning to the heat. When there's a storm, which we've had for the last 10 days, showering in the morning is a challenge. Despite this, I love the hotel because of its location by the sea and the Etang de Thau. Even though I ventilate constantly, there's always a musty smell in the room, as the moisture only dissipates when I ventilate vigorously. The air has improved somewhat since I started ventilating. The staff is helpful and friendly. However, there are language barriers with English. My French has improved as a result, which has made communication easier. Translator apps make life easier. The food is excellent and worlds better than at the neighboring hotel. Although there are days, like today, when a terrine with a baguette is dinner. The restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings (off-season). They baked the baguette especially for me and served it free of charge. A nice touch. After 10 days, I'm practically part of the furniture. A great starting point for exploring Sète and visiting wineries to buy wine. Located almost perfectly on the motorway, which is virtually silent. Petrol is 20 to 40 cents cheaper than in Germany. Addendum: What I don't understand is why I haven't received a reply to my emails. 1. I forgot to bring a green fleece jacket and asked if it could be sent to me at my expense. No response. 2. Upon arrival, I had to pay in advance for the 10 days of my room booked through booking.com. Furthermore, my booking didn't seem to be on file. This was probably also due to language difficulties. For such basic matters, a hotel should have sufficient English language skills. Since I've recently traveled extensively throughout Europe and never had any language problems, this was quite annoying at times. My travel destinations were Sweden, Denmark, France, and Italy.
