04/07/2026: During our hike on the Cap de la Hague (trail 5), we stopped at this hotel-restaurant for a drink and a bit of a break. The place, like the village itself, invites tranquility and quiet conversation, a welcome respite from the heatwave, which is rather limited in the Manche region.

12/07/2026: Good experience at this inn. I stopped by completely by chance on a Saturday evening for dinner. The owner gave me a warm welcome, and the service was excellent. The local dish was delicious and very pleasant! I have no experience with the hotel itself, only with the restaurant…

26/05/2026: I was just passing through and ordered a simple coffee to go. They asked for €3.50! After I commented on the price, she (the owner, I think) let me have it for €3! Shameful and petty! I don't usually leave reviews on Google, but on principle, I can't let this go.

04/09/2026: I went to eat there on Friday, September 4, 2026. The fries were delicious and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

02/08/2026: On the plus side: They're friendly. However, is the "L" Taco for Light or what? Because €9 for the smallest taco I've ever seen (not bad, but not particularly good) makes me feel a bit ripped off, and even if it's done with a smile, I'm not thrilled. The next size up is €15; maybe at that price you can expect a taco that's more of a snack. The last time I saw a scam like this was in my email's scam folder.

09/09/2026: Excellent service. We were very well attended to, and the food was great. We ordered entrecote and ribs with aligot, as well as salami and white wine. I recommend it to everyone.

08/09/2026: The boss treats his employees like dogs; I was shocked by the way he spoke to them.

11/10/2026: Great location but the staff will try to scam you if you're foreign. They came to me today, called out 101 euros and when I requested the bill, it was 83.50. Could be great, ended up to be a 1 star. Stay away

11/10/2026: The Café Central became our favorite cafe during September '26 when we rented an apartment nearby. We went here almost every morning for coffee, croissants, and fresh squeezed orange juice and we also enjoyed many meals here that were consistently excellent. The servers were all great,( special shout out to Regis!) and the managers always made us feel welcome. My favorite dish on the menu is the duck confit. They have an excellent happy hour, it's a great place to have a pint of Grimbergen and watch the people (and dogs!) go by on the Rue Cler.

06/09/2026: What a shame! The setting was great, the service was excellent, but the food was awful! Maybe it was just an off day! So much grease, salad instead of zucchini—even the waitress didn't know what it was, everything was swimming in greasy sauce... parsley sauce without garlic... The Coppa ham without butter... Not disappointed, we won't be back.

21/10/2026: I went there for dinner but better to have reservations and the quality of food was so good. I ordered fish and was really good.

07/09/2026: We've always ordered our pizzas here because they're excellent, but unfortunately today we received three tiny pizzas, or at least smaller than usual, for the same price! I don't know if the mistake was made with our order or if it's a new change in their pizza sizes, but in any case, we're quite disappointed.

13/08/2026: Excellent Lebanese takeout in Bonatrait. We were already familiar with Kessak restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains, which we love, and decided to have Lebanese food at home tonight. They answered the phone and took our order quickly and efficiently. The food arrived right on time. When we got home, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The portions were generous and the dishes were truly excellent. We highly recommend them.

02/05/2026: The best restaurant in Thonon! The flavor and quality of the dishes, the welcome and generosity of the restaurant owners… all the ingredients are there to make us have a pleasant time.

14/07/2026: While the staff was polite, our stay was quite disappointing due to the complete lack of basic necessities, including cleaning supplies and soap. The facilities were underwhelming, with a poorly maintained pool, no air conditioning, and a location that is difficult to access on foot. Additionally, paying a premium for ill-fitting bed linens made the overall experience feel like poor value for money

14/06/2026: Very well located geographically. Quiet and convenient. The rooms weren't the cleanest. We mainly used it for sleeping as we were out exploring this beautiful region during the day.

22/06/2026: Very disappointed in this place. The drinks are great and affordable, but the food let us down. I ordered the grilled Camembert, which was really disappointing, and the same went for the duck with grilled potatoes. It came as just half a duck breast, and the potatoes were fried like chips when they should have been grilled in butter with herbs. I didn’t eat them. Can’t recommend the food, but the drinks were okay.

29/08/2026: I called to order a small pizza and confirmed the time as 7 PM. Five minutes later, they said 7:30 PM because the pizza maker couldn't do it at 7 PM. It's better to check with the pizza maker before confirming the time.

19/07/2026: Okay, we love your pizzas with our friends (we regularly order them for role-playing games like Stranger Things), the atmosphere is pretty pleasant (except for one time when the server was rather insistent about reminding us we were late), the service is usually on time (except once when one of our pizzas was swapped and we had to wait 15 minutes for it to be remade), and the pizzas are good value for money. (However, we've had stomach aches the next day several times, but I couldn't say if it's from the excitement of role-playing or the quality of the pizza ingredients). I still recommend it because, apart from these minor issues, we've rarely been disappointed!

04/05/2026: The welcome is always so friendly, the setting traditional, the atmosphere convivial. But the couscous is simply amazing. We've been coming for several years now, and it's always just as delicious and generous. This couscous reminds me of my grandfather's; it's homemade, with fresh ingredients, the meat is cooked to perfection (the lamb falls apart with a fork), the merguez sausage is juicy and flavorful, the veal kebab is perfectly cooked, the vegetables (unlimited, but plenty) are crisp and cooked, the broth is fragrant, and the semolina is real handmade semolina (unlimited, but plenty). I'm a big couscous eater and always leave completely satisfied without even asking for seconds. They also do takeout (bring your own containers, and it's also very generous; we've done it before). The service is very friendly, welcoming, efficient, and discreet. In short, a very good address in Chalon (we go back regularly and we are never disappointed).

23/04/2026: Excellent meal!!! We enjoyed absolutely delicious couscous and tagine, and the portions were so generous we could barely finish them!!! On top of that, we had a very pleasant time chatting and joking with the owner!!! It's an experience we highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back when we're in the area again!

17/06/2026: I go there regularly with family or friends. We often order the octopus. It's delicious! Whole, very well prepared. Other dishes are also very good. The waitresses are super friendly. The price is very reasonable. I highly recommend it. 👍🐙
