We had the pleasure of a romantic dinner at the restaurant "Les Bons Enfants" in Bourg-en-Bresse, and it was an absolutely memorable experience from beginning to end. If you're looking for an authentic restaurant in the Ain region, look no further, this is the place to go! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the lovely terrace. Nicely shaded and inviting, it offers the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you immediately sense that it's a favorite with both locals and passersby. The service was extraordinary, largely thanks to our waitress, a true gem! She was always running around, making sure everyone was happy, always with a smile. She jokingly referred to herself as "clumsy," but in reality, she was exceptionally professional and kind. Charming from start to finish, she made this moment even more special with her infectious good humor. As for the food, it was absolutely flawless. The promise of "homemade" was brilliantly fulfilled. The savory dishes were flavorful and generous, but it was the desserts that truly transported us. Intensely fresh and delicate, they brought the meal to an unforgettable close. You could taste the passion and expertise in every bite. As luck would have it, we were seated next to a very friendly Dutch couple, which added a delightful touch of conversation and conviviality to our lunch. 21/09/2026: A fantastic restaurant! The decor and atmosphere are incredible! You can really see that homemade food is important here. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the dishes! If I had to make one comment, I'd say the desserts are slightly below the rest of the menu, although they're still good. A big plus for the cocktails, which I highly recommend you try! There's also a shop with lots of handcrafted items available on site, perfect for a little treat. I highly recommend this restaurant; you should definitely try it at least once!

28/09/2026: A fun treetop adventure park with plenty of courses, some of which can be quite challenging, so there's something for everyone. However, a major drawback is the large black dog that roams freely among the courses and children. Frankly, it's unacceptable; an accident could easily happen (its owners will probably say it's "friendly," like all dogs), and I felt uneasy whenever it walked past me.

23/09/2026: It was a very good experience and I highly recommend it. Every item is fresh and excellent value for money. It's delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the portions are generous. I recommend it. A small, simple brasserie, but the homemade food is excellent. The dining room is small, so arrive early or consider making a reservation.

09/10/2026: Delicious crepes and nice service. We had a couple savory crepes which were truly fantastic. I recommend La Reine. We then split a Nutella and banana crêpe for dessert, which was good, but not as special as their savory crepes.

There were four adults and three children in our party. The service was very friendly, even to the children. The atmosphere was very cozy. It was a wonderful restaurant experience.
