23/05/2026: Had the 5 course meal with wine pairings. Service was great and each course took me on its own journey. The finish with champagne and strawberry crème was magnificent.

17/05/2026: This modest sized restaurant feels very spacious inside due to the unusual white pine panelling. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the ambience is relaxed. I started with the duo of foie gras de canard which was excellent! Two pieces were chilled slices and two pieces were grilled “crème brulée” with a layer of sugar on top. Most creative as the cooked foie gras becomes the ‘cream’ - brilliant! My main course was veal kidneys (always a treat in France as you never see them on the menu in England) in garlic and parsley butter. Also very good, though slightly spoiled by the fact that the garde manger forgot to wash the lettuce (lots of gravel crunching - not good). The bread here is fantastic! Everything I visit France for. Dessert was a novel take on tiramisu involving crème chantilly, apples and pineau des Charentes in place of coffee and Marsala. Not really a success, but a noble failure.

03/05/2026: Pizza du Roy is an excellent choice! The crust is thin, the toppings are generous and fresh, and the wide selection of pizzas will satisfy every palate. The pizza chef and his colleague are very friendly.

10/04/2026: I just got my pizza and I really regret getting the medium size. Not that it's small, but it's so good and I should have gone for the Mega. This is my first time here and it's definitely going to be my go-to spot.

14/05/2026: The food wasn't bad, the textures were pleasant (crispy for the pastries and creamy for the purées). However, the flavors were rather bland. The za'atar, in particular, had very little taste, even though it was served as a centerpiece in several dishes… and we were quite disappointed with the falafel, which we found rather dry. So, not bad, but nothing special. The service was great at first, with friendly and smiling waiters, which wasn't really the case towards the end…

30/05/2026: We visited this inn for the traditional mus tournament. I had attended a communion celebration there many years ago, but I hadn't been back since. I knew of its reputation, but I hadn't had the chance to really experience the place. From the moment we arrived, what struck us most was the quality of the welcome: a genuine smile, friendliness, and constant attention to the guests. As for the food, everything was in place for a wonderful experience: simple, generous, homemade cuisine, and above all, the essential ingredient was there: delicious flavor. Throughout the meal, the staff discreetly and professionally ensured that everything ran perfectly. This is an establishment that upholds the values ​​of traditional hospitality, where you truly feel welcome. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

26/05/2026: A winstub with a terrace set back from the street, serving many authentic Alsatian specialties. The staff is pleasant and smiling. The vol-au-vent was excellent, as were the perfectly crispy spaetzle that went so well with it, and the sauce was delicious. Better than at the old establishment! A little disappointed by the grumbeerkiechle (part of the salmon Big Mac), one of which was really overcooked, and the pitcher of white wine wasn't chilled... But the baba au kirsch (very generously served) made up for everything! We will return to this friendly restaurant.

30/04/2026: I don’t usually leave reviews but this place deserves one. We found it near our hotel and ended up going back for our last night in Paris. Good Italian food, warm service and a really good Diavola pizza. Prices felt fair for Paris too and hearing that italian accent again was a nice little bonus
