09/10/2026: An experience that completely ruined what should have been a pleasant meal. Everything was going very well until the end... Having barely touched a €25 dish (perhaps only a third of it), the waiter spontaneously offered to prepare it for us in a doggy bag. His colleague returned to tell us that he had sent the order for the dish in question back to the kitchen to have a new one made for us to take away, the original having been thrown away. A very thoughtful gesture at the time. So we waited 20 minutes, having a coffee specifically to pass the time. When it came time to pay, we paid the entire bill (€95) without receiving any kind of discount. It was only after we had paid that we were informed that the dish had ultimately never been remade! The result: nonexistent internal communication between the servers, blatant disrespect for the customer who is only given the bad news after the money has been taken, 20 minutes wasted, and an appalling amount of food waste. Paying €25 for a dish that ends up in the bin without any compensation is simply unacceptable.

29/08/2026: If you enjoy being berated by an unpleasant and condescending boss... then by all means, go there. It's a shame to undermine the work of your kitchen with such unprofessional behavior. If you still have doubts, don't hesitate to read previous customer reviews.

22/08/2026: Passing through the area for the week, we ordered their pizzas for takeout two nights in a row... (the four-cheese is amazing!) and we were won over. From the person on the phone, whose smile you can hear, to the care that goes into making the pizzas. We loved it! It's a shame you don't deliver to Paris 😂🍕 Thanks again.

18/10/2026: Average welcome, average staff. Several things displeased us. The Surcouf cocktail was simply orange juice with flavorless foie gras, cold and dry eel without sauce, and onion beurre blanc. The pike-perch and garnishes were cold. The service was too slow; we left without ordering dessert. The price seemed very excessive at 43 euros, even without alcohol. Look elsewhere...

04/10/2026: To begin with. An exceptional location on the banks of the Nantes-Brest canal. Secondly, the food was excellent, beautifully presented, and delicious. Finally, the welcome and service were top-notch, and if we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

09/10/2026: I visited Arles Square to admire the café scene under the Van Gogh starry sky, and then stopped at a nearby café for coffee, chocolate, and mint ice cream; I also used the restroom. The owner was very friendly and kind; the desserts and coffee were quite delicious and inexpensive. 👍

08/10/2026: I was about to enter the restaurant when I saw the waitress brushing her teeth in the piano bar sink. What else? It speaks for itself.

01/09/2026: This café sold me a prepaid debit card that had expired over a year ago. The owner quickly became very aggressive and unpleasant (and dishonest). He refused to exchange the card without a receipt. Of course, since I had paid in cash, the café hadn't given me a receipt, and since I trust them, I didn't ask for one. I did, however, have the two top-up vouchers in the café's name. Coincidentally, the small stack of expired cards had disappeared before my visit, and the owner denied ever having them. He said ridiculous things like, "I can buy 10 houses like yours," or "I'm the boss here, only I matter, my employees don't count," which were irrelevant to the issue but give you an idea of ​​the man's level of competence and his "big head" mentality. Avoid at all costs… Furthermore, the café is dark and the decor is outdated, making it uninviting. I went to buy a new card from another shopkeeper in Garches, a kind, down-to-earth, and honest man—the kind of person you appreciate. The café owner's response is outrageous and defamatory. He makes a completely fabricated allusion to alcohol, or to some supposed "inconsistency," defending himself by lying shamelessly, which once again demonstrates his level of competence and his mentality. I note that most of the good reviews for this café date back to the time of the previous owner. End of story. I will never set foot in that ugly, poorly run café again.

16/07/2026: A warm welcome and a large terrace make this a perfect place to relax. Ideal for enjoying a drink with friends in the late afternoon.

04/07/2026: They've gotten a big head over there, they don't even want to check the scratch cards they sell anymore, and they're saying "social distancing" is a no-go, even though they know nothing about me. Anyway, as a customer and business owner, I'm not going there anymore, especially since the food they serve is just canned food! 🤔😕

28/04/2026: The restaurant is closed on weekends, so be aware! Breakfast is basic and sometimes not very fresh. The room was almost clean, but there was hair on the bed and the bathroom had mold. Otherwise, the receptionist was great! However, the room key was deactivated the very next morning, even though we could have stayed until noon.

26/04/2026: Our second stay was just as enjoyable. However, there were two minor issues. A broken ceiling tile in the room and the breakfast was poorly replenished (even though there were only eight of us in the restaurant, there were no more omelets, ham, sausages, sliced ​​cheese, oranges for juice, napkins, and an empty jam jar). During our first visit, the service had been impeccable. We won't hold it against them and will return, hoping it was just a temporary problem.

11/06/2026: While passing through the region, we dined at the inn's restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the meal: quality, flavor, presentation—everything was excellent, including the service. A place we're always glad to have. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

10/06/2026: The hotel was great, very beautiful setting, lovely garden, spacious and clean rooms. The only downside was the breakfast, which was very basic; for the price, one expects better. Needs improvement.

27/05/2026: My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Versailles. Immediately upon entry, the staff let us know “No Anglaise”. Despite that, she was so incredibly helpful and even brought out a book to show us what fish were on the menu. It was the most incredible meal of our entire trip to France and she had the cutest pup behind the counter. We will be learning more French and going back!! Don’t be discouraged by the language barrier, just be ready to have the best scallops of your life.
