10/09/2026: Charming restaurant that is very popular, especially for Sunday lunch. You can sit outside under shade, in a salon under ceiling fans or back in the restaurant where it is air conditioned. The fixed price menu was 40 euro for three courses, but you get what you pay for. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere with lots of locals eating there.

20/08/2026: If I could give zero stars, I would. My teenage daughter ordered a Too Good To Go basket: clearly a scam. All she got was bread, and not even appetizing bread: overcooked, no crunch, lots of olives, bread that absolutely had to be toasted to get any texture! The basket had a nice picture of pastries, cakes... (tarts, chocolate croissants) But no bread: that's dishonest. It deserves to be reported to the platform. So that says it all: it's not about fighting food waste, it's garbage! The poor girl was disgusted... Avoid at all costs! There are limits to commercialism...

04/10/2026: A huge congratulations to the head chef, whose hard work truly shines through in every dish. It was also lovely to see him come into the dining room and ask us directly if everything was alright: a thoughtful touch that makes all the difference. Special mention goes to the young, dark-haired waiter, who was simply extraordinary: smiling, energetic, and professional. This new direction really makes us want to come back! The only slight drawback: the establishment could use a little updating to fully reflect this new energy. With that, it would be perfect!

01/10/2026: A very pleasant surprise at Bistro Régent! 👏 I especially want to congratulate the new young manager on taking over the establishment. After a bad experience previously with salmon that made us sick, my partner and I decided to give it another try. And what a difference! The freshness was definitely back, the salmon was impeccable, the sauce perfectly balanced, and the dishes served piping hot. Special mention also goes to the fries, which were absolutely divinely cooked! 🍟 It's truly a pleasure to find quality cuisine and well-executed dishes again. Congratulations to the new manager and the team, we will gladly return! 👏

16/09/2026: The setting here is truly beautiful. However, the service was neither very friendly nor attentive. It lacked refinement. The usual water carafe was missing, but the food was alright.

27/09/2026: We were very disappointed with the new all-you-can-eat buffet; nothing was enticing enough to go back for seconds. The starters consisted of a tomato and cucumber salad, tabbouleh, and cherry tomatoes. The hot dishes were few and far between, mainly chicken drumsticks with olives or prunes, and a couscous with unappetizing vegetables, bitter carrots, and completely mushy zucchini. Desserts included a fruit platter well past its expiration date and only one type of pastry: gazelle horns. For over €25 per person, we expected a wider and, above all, much more appetizing selection. Our advice: avoid this place.

21/09/2026: A very pleasant traditional restaurant, perfect for a meal with family or friends. The food is truly delicious and the flavors are spot on. The staff are attentive and very friendly. Perhaps a bit more variety in the produce bins would be welcome. From experience, I know that customers sometimes hesitate to ask but appreciate seeing well-stocked displays and bins.

03/08/2026: Weekend from the evening of July 31st to Sunday, August 3rd... There were two of us, including myself, who is disabled. We had a ground-floor room, which was perfect. We had a wonderful weekend with friendly and dedicated staff. The manager was also very efficient in her role. We chatted with other tourists on the terrace. We sincerely would love to return. Thank you for your hospitality.

30/06/2026: A very bad experience. They made a mistake with our order for a table of eight. The Caesar salad was very average. At 10 pm, we were told we needed to be quieter because there were rooms nearby... The staff made comments that were anything but discreet. Avoid this place at all costs.

26/05/2026: A passionate traveler, it was by chance that I stumbled upon the Lion d'Or. And of course, this place left its mark. Normally, I don't bother reviewing the places I stay because everything is so sterile, so similar, and original, unconventional places have little or no reason to exist... But seeing the reviews and ratings piqued my curiosity and led me to dig deeper and understand. The owner is one of those people who are bursting with energy, talkative, intelligent, with a strong and memorable personality. Ultimately, I'd say divisive. But what an evening spent dining with other travelers and the owner! A feast, hastily prepared by our ever-attentive host, peppered with shared experiences and humor. These kinds of moments are part of travel, and they leave such a lasting impression. So yes, it's far from the norm. But if everything becomes standardized, what place is left for such unique individuals? See you soon, my friend. PS: Practice your chess! ;)

14/07/2026: A beautiful, peaceful place. The owners are very kind. The room was clean and tastefully decorated; the only minor drawback was the lack of a second electrical outlet. The sound of cicadas in this idyllic setting was wonderful. The complimentary fresh lemonade upon arrival was much appreciated during the heatwave. In short, don't hesitate, I highly recommend it! And we will certainly return every year!

30/09/2026: # The Meat, Cannes — A disastrous experience and a real tourist trap! Yesterday, we had dinner as a family at The Meat restaurant in Old Cannes, an establishment that bills itself as a meat restaurant. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had abroad. The meat was simply awful: undercooked, poor quality, with pieces that were impossible to chew, as tough as shoe soles. Neither the appetizers, main courses, nor desserts lived up to the restaurant's supposed standards or its reputation on TripAdvisor and TheFork. The service was just as catastrophic. We waited about an hour and a half for each course. Two servers for such a large dining room is clearly insufficient. Many customers, after waiting 30 to 40 minutes without even receiving a menu or any attention from the staff, simply decided to get up and leave. We ended up asking for the bill ourselves, just so we could leave the place as quickly as possible. The food was deplorable, the service extremely slow, and there was a complete lack of attention to customers. This restaurant is far from deserving its reputation and the expectations it raises. If you're looking for a pleasant family evening, quality meat, and decent service, we strongly advise you to avoid this place. In our experience, The Meat is a real disappointment and a tourist trap. We sincerely regret spending our evening there.
