20/03/2026: Fantastic welcome, very pleasant and helpful staff, excellent food and a delicious tiramisu. A place to remember, we'll be back.

20/03/2026: The food was really bad; the pizza and lasagna were clearly frozen! I don't recommend it! The staff were okay, but nothing special.

20/06/2026: We had dinner there yesterday and it really wasn't great. We didn't feel welcome; no one was very friendly, and the waitress was inexperienced and not very helpful. The meat wasn't bad, but the fries were undercooked, and the salmon tartare was awful (with vinaigrette). This restaurant doesn't reflect the quiet and pleasant atmosphere of this part of La Grande Motte; it's more like a roadside diner.

15/06/2026: Unfortunately, we were perhaps unlucky yesterday, Sunday, as the terrace was full and there were only two waitresses. Our table seemed to have been forgotten; we waited an hour to order, and then there was another long wait between courses. Furthermore, after asking three times for ice, we received none. We also do not recommend the monkfish with potatoes and fries; it was far too heavy, and the piece of fish was mostly bones and spines. Given our dissatisfaction, we were offered free coffee.

30/07/2026: Aqua Pizza is a great option for pizza on Noirmoutier Island, with extended opening hours. You can choose from a wide selection of pizzas to take away or a more limited menu from a vending machine (about ten options, so there's something for everyone). We opted for the vending machine (available from 9 am to 11 pm) so we could pay by card. The two pizzas we ordered were delicious, generously topped, and piping hot. They were ready and hot in just 5 minutes. The owner, who was very friendly, offered to cut our pizza into several slices, as we were with children. Drinks are only available inside. Pizza is only available for takeaway or for eating in, but only outside (two very high tables with no chairs available). I recommend it!

28/07/2026: Note that it's closed in the evening, so if you're leaving the club, don't come expecting to buy supplies.

23/07/2026: It's a shame that two hours after opening at 8:30 am there were already no more pastries or brioches, especially on a day of the Tour de France.

22/07/2026: The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and coffee are delicious and reasonably priced. You can sit outside in the sun in the mornings.

13/04/2026: A very simple and welcoming grocery store where you will find regulars with Creole accents and products from the Mascarenes with a few tables to enjoy a small dish, excellent Dahl puri or chili candies.

20/07/2026: Poor communication, disappointed with the service. No traditional baguette or anything else for breakfast. Luckily we found a McDonald's next door to have our breakfast.

09/07/2026: I came in today to buy pastries and a loaf of bread. No greeting, no smile whatsoever. The croissants were very greasy. The white bread was... Extremely disappointed. It's nothing like the Ange I used to love... This needs serious improvement, as it's not the first time I've been poorly received, and the quality of the products... well, let's just say it's beyond words.

24/05/2026: Golf course nice but under repair everywhere. Food dreadful, same menu for the past 2 years. Staff really nice but understaffed so the wait is ridiculous. Used to be a great place. Will never eat there again.

24/05/2026: The air conditioning was out of order, the power outlets didn't work (problem resolved that evening), there was no bathroom shelf (only the brackets were there), there were holes from the old curtain rods, the shower drain was clogged and drained poorly, the picture frame was broken, there was only one small bottle of still water as a welcome gift, and only one small bar of soap. The restaurant was struggling to serve all the rented rooms (a large group was present that evening), there was only one waitress for both the dining room and the terrace, the wait was too long, and we left before finishing our meal. It felt like we were on a set of "Kitchen Nightmares." Breakfast was in the same vein. The quality of the meal was low. The receptionist on Saturday didn't listen to our comments. Clearly, this establishment only survives thanks to the golf course. It doesn't deserve 3 stars!

21/02/2026: A rather disappointing experience. We had to wait a very long time to order, even though there wasn't a queue. The woman at the entrance was really unwelcoming, which created a bad atmosphere right from the start. It's a shame, because you expect a minimum of consideration when you come to a bar/restaurant. I hope the service will improve. The interior decor is very nice.

20/02/2026: Forced to queue to order, so no service, and when we were comfortably seated to drink our glass, we were cleared out to make room for a larger order.

04/11/2025: Great time with the family, we were right to arrive early. The meal was perfectly fine, the desserts were nothing special.

01/11/2025: Stopped by several times for a coffee or a drink, small platters... alone, with family, or for a business meeting. After several years, I've concluded: a lot of turnover, very young servers, probably paid a pittance according to the pay scale, and the same managers rotating through the chain's establishments (you rarely see them in the dining room, not even during rush hour). In short, the recipe for toxic, cushy management that damages the city's reputation, and which should be replaced by people passionate about their work and who know how to run a business. And also, probably, they should pay them properly to avoid driving away their staff and discouraging young people from this wonderful profession. I recently remember a young woman, Lola, I think, who deserves to be a manager. Quick, professional, smiling, but stressed. You can feel the stress of the servers and the difficulties they face. People clearly come here for the setting, the proximity to the Parc Floral. It's magnificent. So it's justified on the bill, nothing shocking. BUT, the staff is underpaid and exploited. There are long delays between The moment we were seated, the moment our order was taken, and then we were served—even during quiet periods. But during rush hour, it's terrible. Every time, it saddened me to see the waitresses (and sometimes waiters) running around in all directions, left alone when people arrived in groups, without time to clear and clean the tables, constantly being called away. And with no colleagues coming to help, they had to deal with the discontent of customers who had the wrong people. I know I won't return to any of the Epikur group's establishments until the management changes. And I advise both locals and tourists against it. One of the few quality restaurants, L'Estrade, has closed; we won't find that same quality at La Rotonde, even though it has everything to be an exceptional establishment because of its location. A huge waste.
