12/09/2026: Great menus. The sushi is generous with lots of fish and large pieces of avocado, and not too much rice, so it's perfect. Edit in 2026: We are still just as satisfied with Saveurs de Niort; we order regularly. It's always very good with a good amount of fish and raw vegetables. The value for money is truly excellent. I don't understand the rating, which doesn't reflect my experience. Ready Made and Toyo aren't any better and are much more expensive.

03/09/2026: The staff were very unpleasant. We asked if we could eat in the restaurant, which was empty, and she curtly replied, "Good evening, we don't eat in the restaurant. Have a good evening."

01/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant by chance while we were at the beach, and we have no regrets about going. The food was very good, the prices were reasonable, the setting is beautiful, and the waiter was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. I highly recommend it.

25/07/2026: A very warm and friendly welcome and excellent value for money. I recommend the mozzarella and basil salad!

02/10/2026: The food is very good and the staff are very pleasant.

23/09/2026: I booked a table for lunch with friends and the restaurant sent a confirmation. I confirmed with my friends, but 10 minutes later I received a message from the restaurant saying, "After checking our reservation book, we cannot keep your reservation." No "sorry," no "excuse us." This is very poor service.

26/06/2026: First visit since the change of ownership. A "hello" wasn't exactly customary at Françoise's, as everyone knew. It's a shame the two new young owners haven't brought this magic word back into fashion. Even when you arrive with your hands full. Is this a cursed place for saying hello with a smile? Otherwise, two of the three waitresses are smiling and friendly. Given the choice between two places serving coffee for €1.50, which do you think you'd go to? With or without a smile?

20/04/2026: By far my favorite café in Avignon! A very warm atmosphere, ideal for getting some work done, with delicious pastries of course ;) Update 4 years later: A landmark is closing… we'll miss you.

25/03/2026: The bedding was cramped and very hard. The welcome was rude. What I also find hard to accept is that the manager recommended a parking lot, which I went to, and the next day I got a parking ticket. She told me she would reimburse the fine, but after two reminder emails, still nothing. It's a shame; we were left with a bad impression for only €35...

15/02/2026: I came for work with a group of children to enjoy a waffle. We received a very warm welcome, and the staff were friendly and patient. The waffles were generous and delicious. I recommend it.

20/08/2026: The galettes were very generously filled and very good.

01/03/2026: The showers and toilets are currently being renovated in containers outside. Only the cafes and the store are open. The lines are huge, but you can safely go there either in the morning or in the evening. 🌙 The renovations are apparently long-term, so keep that in mind when planning your weekend. Everything is working on the other side. If you're staying here, you can cross the bridge before the exit to the parking lot. There are gates everywhere, so you don't have to climb over the fence. Good luck.

24/12/2025: I was just lucky to stop by and park here, and I stayed there from December 24, 2025, to December 26, 2025. The girl at the checkout was great, polite and friendly, and the restrooms and showers were clean, which is why I love France. You can always find a parking spot. I recommend it.

01/07/2026: A very rude and unpleasant woman at the reception desk refused to take the time to answer my questions over the phone regarding pre-rolled cigarettes. She became irritated from the start, before I even had a chance to explain my request, and then she hung up on me. When I called back, she told me, "This is a business, we don't have time, come in person." But of course, it was much more aggressive and showed a significant lack of respect and professionalism. It should even be illegal, I was so shocked by such an obnoxious person with such a ruthless and dangerous manner and extreme aggression. I remained respectful and expressed my shock, but this person showed no mercy in her words and actions. I absolutely do not recommend this tobacconist, which employs verbally abusive staff like this woman, who was probably stung by some nasty bug! P.S.: Honestly, if it had been someone else, they wouldn't have gotten away with it.

04/06/2026: A warm welcome and a smile from Aurélie, as always 👍🌹 A good selection of CBD products and a friendly atmosphere. Plus, there's parking in the courtyard. It's a shame you're closed on Saturdays since the other tobacconist in the center closed. Long live your business! 👌

27/08/2026: Very good, clean and decent food overall, the portions are reasonable, and the price is also reasonable.

08/09/2026: Excellent value for money. The 70s atmosphere is a given, you're stepping back in time. Clean room, fairly comfortable bedding.

22/09/2026: A little disappointed this time, not with the food, but there were far too many people, which obviously generated far too much noise. They wanted to fit so many people in that it was difficult to move between the tables.

02/09/2026: So, I've been a regular customer for years, but yesterday I was shocked! The waiter picked his nose and made a huge mess just a few meters from our table... seriously?! Otherwise, everything was fine until, during the night, both my wife and I experienced pain and diarrhea... So there's definitely a problem... I don't think I'll be back anytime soon 😡

06/09/2026: The waitress Fanny is lovely, attentive, and very welcoming. The daily special and the warm goat cheese salad are very good. The price is good value for money. I recommend it.

05/09/2026: I stopped by La Place in the morning for a tea and a croissant, and I actually really enjoyed the atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly, and the place had a warm, slightly old-fashioned feeling that I found quite charming. It definitely feels a little worn and dated, and I wouldn’t describe it as especially polished or spotless, but somehow that didn’t bother me much. There’s a certain sense of history and character to the place, and it feels more like a local neighborhood café than somewhere designed for tourists. Sitting there with a simple breakfast felt very relaxed and very Parisian in its own way. Not fancy, not perfect, but comfortable, friendly, and full of character. I’d happily stop by again in the morning.
