25/08/2026: It's always a pleasure to return to Le Bélisaire. Matthieu and his team give us a warm welcome; it feels like meeting up with friends in a place seemingly untouched by time, with its bar, bistro chairs, and red banquettes. The cuisine, with its maritime influences, is delicious, and the wine list offers something for everyone. Kenavo ar vechal.

03/08/2026: We came here for my boyfriend‘s birthday as he wanted a non-touristy local restaurant and it did not disappoint. We got the five course prefix menu which was spectacular and very reasonably priced. The wine of the month was also delicious. As we were leaving Chef Matthieu came out to greet us and couldn’t have been nicer. All in all a great experience.

15/07/2026: I discovered this restaurant in 2022, and since then I've enjoyed returning occasionally to savor their specialty, teppanyaki, on special occasions. It's a shame that some reviews focus exclusively on other dishes :/ and that people dare to claim the staff isn't Japanese when they are! The staff is very friendly and has always done their best to please everyone on each of our visits 🙏 and I definitely plan to return soon. I'm very happy with the teppanyaki and I'm happy to serve you.

It's the kind of place you can recommend without hesitation; it inspires complete confidence. The welcome is always warm, and the service is efficient, attentive, and consistently reliable. You feel expected, and the team helps create a friendly atmosphere that makes you want to return. A special mention goes to the chef, who is as charming as he is talented. Always smiling, humble, and passionate, he demonstrates great technical skill and a genuine respect for the ingredients. His expertise shines through in each of his creations, executed with precision and consistency. On the plate, the freshness of the ingredients is immediately apparent. The fish is of excellent quality, the cuts are precise, and each preparation perfectly highlights the flavors. The mastery is unwavering, never succumbing to trends: here, the product is at the heart of the experience. After all these years, the pleasure remains undiminished. This consistency, both in the quality of the cuisine and the service, is rare enough to be worth highlighting. Hokkaido is a true gem in Rouen, an establishment that remains true to itself and where one always returns with the same pleasure. Remember to book on Friday and Saturday evenings.

31/07/2026: We had a fantastic time! We had two refreshing traditional margaritas, which were very pleasant. Then we ordered two tasting menus, which we really appreciated when they explained what each course was and in what order. The waiter was very friendly; we sometimes spoke Spanish with him. The service, with its great atmosphere, was pure bliss! So thank you so much for the cheerful and Mexican service. And of course, the tequila rápido to finish off perfectly—a first for me, and it really wakes you up! 👀😂 In short: delicious food, great atmosphere, and affordable prices, so go for it without hesitation!

29/07/2026: Restaurant with a very pleasant terrace. We ordered John Dory, two half-lobsters, and a ribeye steak. The ribeye was exceptionally thin; we were surprised given the price. The lobster was a bit too dry. The John Dory, however, was very good, as were all the side dishes. The service, on the other hand, wasn't very pleasant. We had to ask for water three times, and the table was dirty. This place could still improve ☺️

And what a delightful surprise it was! From the very first bites, I was truly captivated by **the quality of the ingredients, the finesse of the combinations, and the subtlety of the dishes**. The cuisine is precise, delicate, and generous, allowing the flavors to shine without ever overpowering them. A huge congratulations to **Benjamin**, the chef, for this truly masterful work. From appetizer to dessert, everything is executed with great skill and sensitivity. Behind each plate, you can sense a genuine pursuit of excellence, but above all, a sincere passion for cooking. A huge thank you also to **Claire**, who looked after us in the dining room with such kindness, attentiveness, and simplicity. Her presence truly enhanced the experience. And then there's the **absolutely remarkable value for money**, which deserves to be highlighted. 16/08/2026: Finally, a truly great restaurant in Contrexéville! Everything is perfect: the cooking is expertly executed, the menu is short but wonderfully showcases local produce, and the welcome is simply delightful. This is a place worth the effort: be sure to book ahead, as it's often full (and deservedly so!). You can go without hesitation.

13/08/2026: A warm and friendly welcome from an experienced and passionate pizza chef! 🍕 The pizzas are simply incredible and delicious, prepared with great skill. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! His wife is also exceptionally kind.

21/07/2026: We ate pizza here twice and they were excellent. Good dough, perfect texture (not a thick American-style base), tasty toppings, and a warm welcome. There were quite a few of us and it was hot outside (inside there's air conditioning!). The best pizza in Bastia!
