26/08/2024: Chez Roger was recommended to my wife and I by a friend. On arrival we were greeted by our host Raphael who spoke perfect English. He suggested we sat outside and had a drink before dinner. I enjoyed a locally distilled Pastis, made in Caen. Raphael then explained that the meal was to be five course but we would not be given any details until each dish arrived at the table. He did let us know that it would be predominantly seafood so a white wine might be advisable. We were shown to our table in a very nice dining room. Every table was lit by a large candelabra adding to the atmosphere. When the food started to arrive each dish was explained in meticulous detail. I don’t have the words to explain how nice each course was. The standout dish was half a lobster flambéed at the table in calvados, superb. We were advised on the wine by one of the young waiters and it was the nicest wine I have ever tasted. A fantastic evening that I would like to repeat as soon as possible. Not the cheapest meal available for this area but without doubt fantastically good value. The head chef is Emma, we didn’t get a chance to meet her but I understand she was trained and worked in Paris, it showed. An exceptional evening that I cannot fault in any way. A big thank you to Raphael, Emma and their team.

17/12/2024: It was really perfect. All the staff take care of themselves. The delicious meal... No fault noted! (Besides, thank you for closing the toilet door every time because people don't often think about it haha) I had the rock fish soup and Turbot risotto (champagne lemon butter sauce I think) with vegetables ❤️ I can't wait to come back

11/12/2024: This is not the first time that I have been to this restaurant and the observation is always the same: top staff, we were extremely well received, with a smile and a sense of helpfulness. Excellent meal from start to finish! I don't see how we could have done better because everything was perfect!

26/09/2024: The welcome and service are done with a smile. It's very nice. The service is discreet, but fast. We enjoyed the pancakes. Prices are reasonable. In short, a good time at the Frugy creperie.

16/06/2025: One of my top places in Paris when visiting, friendly and wonderful staff, delicious and proportionate dishes, beautiful interior decor, and an overall joy of a restaurant. The food is one of the highlights, the steak, savory yet balanced with a wonderfully crisp peppered texture. Although, I recommend the cheesy umami onion soup and the side of crispy macaroni is a must when visiting. Edit: yes don’t worry they are super welcoming to tourists, don’t be scared of the other old reviews, the food is impeccable and shouldn’t be described as just “ok”. Enjoy!

07/07/2025: The establishment is located on the main village square. The welcome is excellent and reassuring. The cuisine is refined, refined, and locally sourced for a moderate price, without being excessive. The entire bar/restaurant area is clean, well-decorated, and exudes a local, family-friendly feel. The guesthouse is equally clean and homely. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped (writing table, chairs, lighting, bathroom, etc.), and beautifully decorated. The tower room has a certain character! There is a small refrigerator available in the common area. It's very convenient.

10/03/2025: Excellent restaurant with well-prepared, high-quality products. It's worth the detour. We really enjoyed ourselves. One downside is the service. We would have liked the owner to not clear the table before we left; that would have been more professional.

07/09/2024: We had an excellent time at lunchtime, despite our very late arrival, we were served and the meal was a treat for everyone. We ordered the shrimp with madras sauce and beef samosa as well as a tandoori chicken accompanied by garlic and cheese naan and simple cheese. Thanks to the restaurateurs and cooks. We will come back very soon. 💪🏽🥰

26/08/2024: Le restaurant est un peu intimiste les table sont proche, mais la cuisine est excellente, et le menu du jour a 30€ vaux le détour.

20/08/2024: Nice surprise for this romantic lunch. The intimate room has 15 tables and is well decorated and faces directly onto the kitchen. However the tables are small and very close to each other, the server has difficulty getting through. We take the daily menu for €29 and we are not disappointed, the plates are beautiful, the dishes are tasty... The service is fast and attentive. Great discovery.
