22/01/2026: An old-fashioned French bar, which will be replaced by Chinese restaurants within the next 5 years. A shame, it has potential.

21/06/2026: The manager is unpleasant. The cakes sit in the display case in 30-degree heat all day long. And to top it all off, the candied orange peels were sold to me for 95 euros per kilo. Yes, 95 euros per kilo, and they're no better than the ones at Auchan; that probably explains the lack of prices in the window. A real tourist trap of a bakery, and it's working! Fortunately, other establishments in Corte are a cut above the rest.

15/06/2026: We met her by chance in 2024, and she won us over with her charm. Since then, we've been stopping by Corte every day to buy Baghioni's sweets. Over the years, we've tried almost everything they make—cakes, bread, pain au chocolat, and all their savory treats. The quality is excellent, and everything is very artisanal, which shows in the small imperfections I'm happy to find. Her son is very kind and generous, and it's always a pleasure to chat with him.

30/07/2026: Second review after 3 years of giving 1 star... (Pierre FOUCAUD), passing by with a friend today: Sub 30 with BMT as the recipe, I asked if (like Aubiere does) they split the 30 into 2 recipes, still no… (this choice is illogical). I took the daily sub menu, so €9.90 for the meal deal. The cashier asked me if I had the app, I said yes, so it was okay. I asked if there was no tray or basket, I was told no, so we took the items like beggars. We paid together with a restaurant voucher and cash, he took my payment without asking for my loyalty card again, I realized this as soon as the payment was processed, I asked what to do, the manager told me "it's too late"…. Very commercial… We opened the window to air out the place and enjoy the fresh air, but the manager closed it, telling us we should think about using the air conditioning… (it's cooler outside than inside…) 🤣 Avoid this crazy shop, it's completely mismanaged…

30/06/2026: Hotel attached to the bar (same name, 1 rue de Montreuil): dishonest establishment. A promised refund for an unused night was never issued, despite a timely request made on Booking.com (within 48 hours of a train cancellation). The attic room was stifling, with no air conditioning or ventilation, and constant noise (from the Carrefour supermarket and bar below). Avoid this place for accommodation.

13/06/2026: The place looks very nice from the outside. Unfortunately, the waiter was unfriendly and dishonest.

24/07/2026: A very pleasant evening with great gypsy music, but above all, a fantastic waitress – very pleasant, smiling, and attentive to her customers despite a full terrace 😊

22/07/2026: The staff were incredibly friendly despite the crowd, and the live music was fantastic. We arrived late, yet we were welcomed with great kindness. A huge thank you! The mussels and fries with their marinara sauce were superb. And thank you for introducing me to the regional syrup; I can no longer drink regular lemon syrup, you were right! 😆 The team was amazing, thank you!

18/07/2026: We were a group of eight people: four adults and four children aged four to seven. We arranged our own table, but our drinks took half an hour to arrive (the cocktail contained old, rotten mint leaves). After being repeatedly ignored by the very unfriendly staff, we escaped to the pizzeria across the street. What a shame.

14/07/2026: The staff are super friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is great.

08/08/2026: It's become very expensive compared to the competition. A salad supplement of €2.60 is ridiculous, it's outrageous!

01/08/2026: What a disgrace! You order Too Good To Go on the app and 4 hours later it says they couldn't fulfill your order, even though there were still 5 available when you placed it... Luckily I was notified in time. Don't even bother ordering from there, you'll just be ordering for nothing and missing the chance to get one somewhere else 😑

09/08/2026: On vacation on the island. A wonderful experience! 😊 A big thank you to the waiter for his warm welcome, kindness, and professionalism. The service was truly pleasant and attentive. And above all, kudos to the kitchen: delicious dishes, beautifully presented and prepared with care. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back! 👏🍽️

08/08/2026: Very disappointed by the change of ownership. A limited menu is often a sign of quality, but that's far from the case here. The restaurant was practically empty, but despite that, the dishes were very disappointing. The mussels were tiny and of dubious freshness, the burger was overcooked and I didn't ask how I wanted it cooked. The spring tartare was insignificant; the presentation didn't compensate for the poor taste. A first-year culinary student could do better. The tuna fish and chips was a disaster. The fish was overcooked and very dry, with basic breading. Even the fries managed to finish me off. I had to settle for the croque monsieur at the other restaurant. The prices were reasonable, but the other restaurant's cafeteria brings me more joy. Despite that, the waiter was pleasant, which wasn't the case for the bartender at the till. If M6 is looking for a new location for Kitchen Nightmares, this is it!

07/08/2026: Having pointed out repeated errors during my previous visits, I'm unfortunately finding that the situation isn't improving. For a takeout order, the experience leaves much to be desired: Drinks: The soda served was practically flat (no fizz at all). Value for money: The fries in an XL meal were exactly the same size as those in a regular meal. Paying extra for an unjustified larger size is more than unacceptable. Service: Providing only one paper napkin for a complete takeout meal is penny-pinching. Between past oversights and this general decline in attention to detail, customer service and adherence to standards are deteriorating. A shame.

10/07/2026: We did the cheese tasting for our group of 8 and it was absolutely amazing!! Great experience and knowledge. Would definitely recommend.

09/07/2026: Tourist rip-off - €10 extra charge per person when ordering a cheese platter

11/04/2026: I had just walked in at the same time as a woman, and she got a friendly greeting! Then, when it was my turn, nothing at all—just an awkward silence and an annoyed look, even though it was my first time at this kebab shop. Anyway, a kebab contains four ingredients: salad, tomatoes, onions, and meat. Everything is of poor quality! EVERYTHING! The sauce is slapped on top of the fries, perfect for transport, but your fries will be inedible when you arrive.

13/06/2026: I am a former customer of this bakery and I want to leave this comment to make the young woman who was there with Alexis understand that speaking to customers like that is inappropriate. I think that some comments are inappropriate when you are at the till.

02/08/2026: Not good—either too greasy, too salty, or too dry. The service is fairly quick, but the waiters made several mistakes with the order, and the prices are high for the quality. The restaurant is called the Italian tavern, but there's nothing Italian about it—a major drawback.

29/07/2026: Discovered by chance while chatting with a waitress, and after dining there that evening, I was impressed by the warm welcome, the attentive staff, and the generous portions, from the salads to the main course served with beautiful garnishes. We ordered a carafe of rosé wine, and it was the first time I'd ever been served a glass straight from the fridge to keep the rosé fresh. After this wonderful experience, my wife and I returned the following week to explore other flavors. The prices are very reasonable for the area. I highly recommend it.

24/05/2026: Enjoyable stay at the Campanile. The hotel is very quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and functional. The grounds are pleasant and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing.

18/05/2026: Perfect for cyclists. But everything isn't quite perfect. The hangers in the room are broken. The shower drains are a bit clogged. And finally, there's no toilet brush. This isn't very considerate of the cleaning staff, and besides, I hate leaving a dirty toilet for my partner. Breakfast is very good. Be aware of the tourist tax in your budget: €5.40 per day per person. Impressive!
