Finally, the hygiene was catastrophic; I'm going to contact the health department. It's unacceptable that such a filthy establishment can serve food!

02/07/2026: We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. As usual, at the end of the meal, the waiter offered us the daily special. For once, I took it. At the till, we had to wait for his colleague. She arrived, and to our astonishment… the waiter was boasting, as if we weren't even there, about having sold them the daily special. And his colleague went on to boast about her performance since the beginning of the day… not a single thank you for the payment, not a goodbye, nothing. There were three of us who thanked and said goodbye. There were also three of them serving, but not one of them said thank you or goodbye. Nothing. Even our son pointed it out. One thing is for sure, you won't be seeing us in this establishment again.

06/05/2026: We booked this hotel from Sunday to Tuesday, but we fled after the first night because the conditions were so appalling. From the moment we arrived, a smell of damp and stale carpet literally hit us like a ton of bricks, not to mention the smelly sheets. Cleanliness was clearly nonexistent: visible dust, carpets that obviously hadn't been vacuumed in ages… We seriously wondered if the room was cleaned between guests. We had booked a room with a large terrace, but there was another unpleasant surprise: the glass door didn't even lock, the lock was broken. So anyone could get in, especially since the terrace was connected to others. In terms of security, it was simply unacceptable. As for the bathroom, it was probably the worst: a deplorable state for a hotel that dares to advertise itself as a 3-star hotel. The towel warmer was covered in streaks, the shower glass was coated in limescale, the grout was black, the mirror was dirty… and to top it all off, there was a dead spider on the wall as soon as we arrived. A live spider, maybe, in the countryside, but a dead one? It just proves that the hotel hadn't been cleaned. When we tried to mention it to reception, the response was astounding: the receptionist calmly explained that the hotel is old and has been undergoing renovations for 3-4 years, and that some guests don't complain. Good for them, but that in no way justifies such a lack of hygiene and professionalism. Finally, the manager is simply unreachable: no response to our messages, neither through Booking.com nor by email directly to the hotel. Customer service is nonexistent. In short, a disastrous experience, unworthy of a 3-star rating, which we absolutely do not recommend.

04/05/2026: “A trip back in time… unfortunately not the right time” ⭐☆☆☆☆ First off, kudos to the photos on Booking.com, because frankly, passing this dump off as a charming hotel is quite an achievement. The reality is far less flattering. We arrived and the first thing that hit us was the smell of damp. Not a subtle odor, no. A full-blown, unmistakable scent of a flooded cellar that permeated everything: hallways, room, linens. Speaking of linens, the sheets… how to put it… clearly recycled from a previous stay. The dust on the furniture was so thick that we felt like we were disturbing something. Breakfast was just like the rest: lukewarm coffee, stale baguette, and jam of unknown age. The owner, for his part, didn't see fit to lift a finger when we voiced our concerns. A shrug and that was that. On the security front, the lock barely held, the window didn't close properly… we slept with our wallets under our pillows. The pool was freezing cold; it was impossible to stay in it for more than 30 seconds. The only redeeming feature was the pleasant setting, but the lawn hadn't been mowed in ages, so even that was a bit of a mess. A quick call to a gardener wouldn't have cost much. In short, avoid it.

25/06/2026: Classic Greek meal, €9 without a drink. Service can sometimes be slow. They could use a few more fries, but it's a generous portion of meat and more or less filling.

25/06/2026: What a disappointment! Charlotte's pizzas are nothing like they used to be. The crust is increasingly thin, overcooked, and completely dried out. The flavor has disappeared along with the quality. It's like eating crispy cardboard rather than a pizza. At this point, the price is no longer justified. Very disappointed.

20/05/2026: I received a terrible welcome at reception; my TooGoodToGo order was given out during my scheduled pickup time! They gave my order to someone else, whom I paid for at 8:00 PM, and I arrived at 8:01 PM. Not very humane.

30/04/2026: I wish to inform you of a particularly disappointing experience at your establishment. While simply buying a croissant, I was met by a cashier who was clearly more preoccupied with texting than attending to customers. The payment was processed carelessly, with an unprofessional and frankly dismissive attitude. As a regular customer, I find this regrettable. This type of behavior clearly damages the image of your establishment. I suggest you remind your employee of the basics of customer service, or even consider providing her with refresher training in this area. Sincerely

12/07/2026: Everything looks tempting. The prices are very reasonable. Everything is made the old-fashioned way. You either love it or you don't. The owner works like crazy, alone on Sundays. Chain stores cost 50% more for mass-produced goods.

04/08/2026: Hello. When I'm in Vichy, I always go to Ladvie, but this time I'm really disappointed. I was planning a champagne aperitif with the family, but the crackling bread was dry, not fresh at all. I also bought some macarons, a box of 24, which wasn't cheap either. I thought I was getting a sure thing, but oh dear, the macarons weren't fresh and tasted rancid... I'm so disappointed, especially considering how expensive it was. I suggest Ladvie create a section for discounted, slightly imperfect products, like in a supermarket, to avoid waste.

24/07/2026: Avoid iced coffee!! It's just... Two espressos in a glass full of watery foam, and unsweetened to boot... 4 euros for that is a rip-off...
