28/07/2026: The bread is very good, but the staff isn't very friendly. I'm a customer, and when I choose my bread, I don't need to be told they're all the same, because not all baguettes are the same. Very disappointed with the staff.

21/07/2026: On Tuesday, July 21st at 9:50 am, there were no croissants or pain au chocolat (staff shortage?), just a few apple turnovers and pastel de nata. As for bread, thankfully only baguettes.

11/07/2025: Quality welcome, attentive service and delicious dishes. A special mention for the manager Mickaël who is certainly no stranger to such quality of service.

10/07/2025: Terminal 1, upstairs. Le bar, restaurant closed?? Pre made and heated onsite. Horrible for 28eur/dish.

19/05/2026: A very bad experience at Brasserie Carrefour Brioude. The server was very unpleasant, didn't even respond when spoken to, and gave the impression that customers were bothering them. Some people are clearly not suited for this job.

14/07/2026: Not sure why the reviews are negative. We were staying across the street, and I gave the place a try anyway because I saw they serve Ndolé, a Cameroonian dish! I was pleasantly surprised how authentic it was. The portion was also massive. Two dishes were more than enough to feed our family of four. The service was a tad slow but not unreasonable. Would definitely come back again if I’m ever in the neighborhood!

20/06/2026: Excellent bread, sandwiches, pastries, and viennoiseries. The owners are pleasant and friendly. It's my favorite bakery in the neighborhood.

12/05/2026: A pretty nice neighborhood bakery overall. The products are simple, sometimes a bit pricey (a pain au chocolat at €1.40 is 10 cents more than elsewhere). However, all the baguettes are white… it would be nice to consider people who like their bread well-baked!

24/07/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter and requested a plaque with "Happy Birthday" written on it. When I went to pick up the cake, I discovered that this request had been forgotten. What's most disappointing is that the young blonde woman who served me didn't even apologize for the mistake. A simple "sorry" would have been appreciated. It's a shame, because for a birthday, this kind of detail is important, especially for a little girl. I hope the bakery will be more attentive in the future, both with orders and customer service.

24/07/2026: I stopped by this morning to buy pastries and cakes for a family meal, and I'm very happy. The pastries were excellent, and I highly recommend them. They were delicious and very fresh. Thank you to the saleswomen for being so kind and friendly, especially the young woman with blonde hair. She was very smiley, very kind, and a great advisor. I'm very pleased and will be back! ☺️

21/07/2026: My boyfriend and I went there one night because no other bar was showing the football match we wanted to watch. When we arrived, the man who served us was very friendly. The sign said they made cocktails, so I ordered a caipirinha, but he said they didn't have any. Then I ordered a margarita… a huge mistake on my part… the worst margarita I've ever had. I absolutely do not recommend it. I drank it and left the glass full. It was truly awful! We didn't go back during our stay. We ordered a charcuterie board, and it wasn't good either. I definitely don't recommend it; there are many other bars nearby that are worth visiting.

13/06/2026: Passing through the city center and bumping into some friends, we decided to have a drink on the terrace, which is well laid out but a bit noisy and with a significant pedestrian crossing – something that needs improvement...

10/07/2026: Food was dreadful. No idea how I was recommended here for pasta but alas it happened. My seafood pasta was served as plain pasta at the bottom with all seafood on top that I had to take apart myself. My wife’s pizza was raw. Terrible. The staff were very pleasant mind so I gave 2x stars.

10/07/2026: A wonderful experience for my family and me. We had a specific departure time for our boat, and the team did everything they could to make sure we were on time. No waiting, the food was beautifully prepared, and above all, delicious! Thank you for your hospitality, which is so rare these days! 🫶

22/07/2026: A good option for stopping or shopping in Angers between trains or buses, near the train station/bus station. A varied selection, plenty of options, and pretty good.

17/07/2026: As usual with Talemerie, it's not good and it's expensive.

08/08/2026: Positive points: fast service, good food (pizza, roasted Camembert), quick turnaround on water refills, nice decor. Negative point: upon arrival, we all agreed (we're a family of five, including three teenagers) that we'd rarely experienced such a terrible welcome (we felt like we were bothering them and were brushed off when we asked if we'd be seated inside or on the terrace). Fortunately, things improved considerably when we dealt with the other two staff members afterward.

05/08/2026: What can I say? Extremely expensive for the amount served. A plate of pasta was €18 and it was just pasta. The pizzas were very small, and the salad was €12 with only half a slice of goat cheese or Camembert. The service was a bit cold. Passing through the area on holiday, this was our first and last time at this restaurant.

19/05/2026: December 2024 I still think about my experiences at this restaurant to this day, which is why I feel moved to write this review. During my very first visit to France, I had the pleasure of dining at Le Bersot de l’Orient. I was staying nearby, and it became my go-to place throughout my two-week stay. I visited frequently; for brunch, lunch, dinner, and even supper. I also dined both alone and with friends, and each visit was memorable. Across every visit, the food was consistently delicious and deeply satisfying. Hailing from Singapore, a tropical island where I am more familiar with Southeast Asian cuisine, dining de l’Orient was new and exciting. At the same time, the flavours were unexpectedly nostalgic. During the winter months, the meals felt especially warm and hearty. I looked forward to the food to restore me after a long day of walking through the city. It is simple in the best way: honest, filling, and full of comfort, making it an excellent option for both lunch and late dinner. On one occasion, I brought a group of around twelve people, and we shared platters together. The atmosphere was lively yet easygoing, and it became a natural gathering point before continuing our evening plans. Dining here worked just as well for quiet meals as it did for group outings. I also appreciated that the food served is halal, and that the establishment is Muslim-owned, which gave me comfort as a Muslim diner. The washroom is clean and spacious. There is a bar area separate from the kitchen, and while alcoholic beverages are served, it is clearly distinct from the dining space -- something I note for Muslim patrons who may prefer to know. The restaurant itself is not extravagant, but it is warm, cosy, and memorable. It is located in a very walkable and convenient area, making it easy to return to throughout a stay in the city. The surrounding streets add to the atmosphere, especially in the evening when everything feels softly alive. I am deeply thankful to the Le Bersot de l’Orient team for taking such good care of me and for feeding us so well during my stay. These meals brought both comfort and joy during my time in France. More than just food, they were quiet moments of grounding in a foreign place, and they remain with me still. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. I wish them continued success, and many more years of serving food that brings people the same quiet comfort it brought me. Merci beaucoup.

17/03/2026: Strange change of ownership? It wasn't fun, good, or bad. Doesn't their restaurant voucher card work there?

29/06/2026: Order placed at 1pm, only to be told at 1:30pm that the dish was no longer available.

29/06/2026: I came with two colleagues during our lunch break and placed my order at 1:00 PM. After a 30-minute wait, at 1:30 PM, another server finally came to inform us that the dishes we had ordered were no longer available. It was particularly frustrating to have to wait half an hour only to learn that our order couldn't be fulfilled. Due to the wasted time and the limited length of our lunch break, we were forced to leave without having eaten. A clear lack of organization and communication caused us to waste precious time. A very disappointing experience that I do not recommend.

07/04/2026: A delightful surprise on a public holiday when many restaurants were closed: excellent pizzas made with fresh ingredients and generous toppings, and a must-try tiramisu with several variations! A very warm welcome and a lovely setting to enjoy while waiting if needed 😀

05/04/2026: One Sunday evening, Easter weekend, you call to order 3 pizzas. They tell you they're fully booked. I hope you'll be fully booked all summer because from now on we'll be going to their competitor. And on top of that, they weren't very friendly.
