13/04/2026: We visited the Auberge restaurant twice. While the first evening was a success (warm welcome and quality products), the second experience was quite different. The welcome was considerably less cordial. Even worse, and echoing other reviews, we ordered a 1 kg rib of beef for three people. Imagine our surprise when the waitress presented us with a 1.9 kg piece of meat, billed at €150! At no point did the waitress or the owner inform us of this additional charge, and, not having witnessed the weighing, we don't know if it was done before or after trimming. This is regrettable, because while the meat was excellent, this business practice is unacceptable. Hearing the owner then boast to other customers about "making a killing" thanks to a "packed" inn was the final straw. A little reminder: According to the article. Article L111-1 of the French Consumer Code: Restaurants are required to inform consumers clearly and comprehensibly about the price and essential characteristics of the food or drink. According to Article L121-2 of the French Consumer Code: Charging for a quantity that is almost double the original price without warning may constitute a misleading commercial practice, either by omission or by action. Restaurants are therefore subject to administrative and criminal penalties: Administrative fines of up to €3,000 for individuals and €15,000 for legal entities for failure to display prices or for providing misleading information. Criminal penalties: In cases of proven fraud, penalties can reach up to two years' imprisonment and a €300,000 fine.

12/04/2026: Serving over 2kg of ribeye steak when the customer orders half that amount is shameful. According to previous reviews, this is a common practice at this establishment. Avoid it at all costs.

30/06/2026: Absolutely shameful! We placed an order on Sunday evening (11 pizzas) for Monday evening. The person at the kiosk confirmed our order for Monday at 7:45 pm. Our guests came to our house, and when we went to pick up the pizzas, the kiosk was closed! It would have been nice to be professional and simply let us know.

03/05/2026: 28 euros for 2 people, the piñatas weren't filled, we just ate the dough, very disappointed

26/02/2026: I stopped by for a drink on a whim, and I absolutely loved the hidden terrace and the warm welcome. I'll definitely be back!

25/05/2026: The manager is unpleasant. I waited almost 40 minutes for a loaf of bread that wasn't even cooked inside. I ordered a bun: the dough was still raw, nothing was properly cooked. In addition to the disastrous quality, the wait was interminable and there was absolutely no professionalism. Frankly, it's unacceptable to serve raw products after such a long wait. We absolutely have to give it stars, but it doesn't even deserve one. In short, an establishment to avoid.

22/04/2026: Honestly, if you're making someone eat pizzas from Pizzarabit, you're trying to kill them. The pizzas are expensive and absolutely disgusting. It would have been reasonable if they were under €5, but this is ridiculous. In short, avoid this place and it should be shut down immediately.

02/08/2026: The service was nonexistent. The waiter arrived to take our order without even saying hello, and of course, not a smile, neither upon arrival nor departure, and we weren't even greeted. Our main courses were served before our drinks. Luckily, another, more friendly and efficient waiter took the initiative. The food on the plate was tasteless, mass-produced... It's a shame, because the location is beautiful.

25/07/2026: The waiters were very friendly, but the service was very slow and perhaps disorganized. The unique feature is the merging of two restaurants on the square: Bar de la Poste and Le Bouchon. Otherwise, the food was rather bland... A shame.

22/04/2026: The owner was very friendly, and we had a good chat with him, taking our time.

11/04/2026: I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there. We stopped for hot chocolate as a family this winter. The chocolate was good... the welcome was cold, even aggressive and insulting... in short, we won't be back, and everything has already been said...

04/07/2026: Excellent experience, both in terms of food and service. Very satisfied with the staff's ability to react and resolve minor issues. Very clean.

22/06/2026: The room is too hot; I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially during this heatwave. It's practically impossible to eat in this heat in the summer; they really need to fix the air conditioning. Apart from that, the food is superb.

29/07/2026: The owners should be concerned. We sat down for coffee, but no one came. 🤔 We went inside to get our order, and one of the waitresses had a smile about as warm as a prison guard's and should really consider adding a smile to her service. This was our first time there, and it will be our last.

25/07/2026: The waitresses on the terrace were unpleasant. They were smoking while serving. They didn't speak to us. When we asked for information, they just rolled their eyes. We really felt like we were bothering them. Ladies, you should find another job. A smile and some courtesy cost nothing. We felt very uncomfortable. Luckily, two-thirds were decent. The rest could find a different job.

05/08/2026: This is simply the best African restaurant I've tasted in over 15 years in France. I truly felt like I was rediscovering the flavors of Africa: dishes prepared in a traditional way, generous and authentic. I've always been disappointed by African restaurants in Nantes, and yet I've tried practically all of them. This time, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. An excellent discovery that I recommend without hesitation!

19/10/2025: It was near the hotel where I was staying. It took 45 minutes before they even asked me what I wanted to drink. Another 20 minutes passed before they came to take my order (after I had to remind the server). So I just grabbed a burger to save time. Honestly, it wasn't anything special... I don't know what was actually good about it... Anyway. I wouldn't go back there myself. Cheers

17/10/2025: This restaurant is a disaster, with exorbitant prices for the type of food offered. Friday evening at 8 PM, only two tables were occupied in the entire restaurant: a couple and a table of three. That was already a bad sign, and it was confirmed. The amount of sauce to accompany your meat was so minimal it was a joke; next, it would be served in a teaspoon. For dessert, there were no spoons to eat the ice cream. There were three of us, and I got up to complain. There was no sugar with the coffee either, and not even an apology for the oversight. He brought a spoon, even though there were three desserts. He told me, "You said one spoon, it's almost as if we were at fault for their oversight." We ordered an XL waffle sundae and a Bueno, but there was no Bueno, despite a nice picture on the menu. Instead, they put three marshmallows in without asking if we liked them or offering an alternative dessert. This same dessert was supposed to have Nutella, but there was no trace of it, just a little bit of... Chocolate sauce, a pre-made waffle, and two scoops of ice cream, all for €9.95—a rip-off and a misleading menu if you go by the picture and the name of the dessert... We ordered a "café gourmand," an espresso with half a pre-made waffle, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and a small pot of whipped cream with speculoos that was inedible, enough to make you sick. The cream wasn't fresh, it smelled rancid, and had a suspicious taste, which we reported, but they offered no replacement or apology for the inconvenience. A strawberry tartlet was missing, and the extremely unpleasant waiter told us it was written on the website that the tartlet is only served seasonally...lol. I'm at the same restaurant where I'm eating on the website; what kind of ludicrous response is that? They don't warn you, I have to guess or specify it on the menu, it's apparently too complicated for them, but the price remains the same with or without the tartlet. This restaurant is a joke! The waiter refused to smell the tub of whipped cream, so confident is he in their fresh produce, and told me to lower my voice. I must be dreaming, I've never seen anything like it. I told him I would leave a negative review and I hoped his superiors would see it and take responsibility. He looked at me with a smile and replied, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" This gentleman still thinks he can talk down to customers, unbelievable! The total for this espresso, half an industrial waffle, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and a tub of inedible whipped cream, was €9.40. Three tables occupied, including ours, on a Friday night was suspicious, and it was confirmed. Go eat somewhere else; you'll be better received and treated with more consideration for a much more reasonable price, and above all, with good ingredients. Our first and last time in this so-called restaurant. (Customer, table of 3 people: 1 adult and 2 children) With a total bill of €132 reduced to €128 for this sorry spectacle of a restaurant and a lack of respect for customers... I'm keeping the bill to prove my visit to your establishment if you dispute my opinion or doubt it.

20/07/2026: Unpleasant staff, no greeting, nothing. I asked them to clean the table, they cleaned it with a dirty cloth, leaving hair and everything else on the table. I'm sure they cleaned the toilet with the same cloth. Very unpleasant staff.

19/07/2026: I arrived at 10 PM and the grumpy staff told me they no longer offer smaller menus like the kids' menu and McDeal. I ordered a box of 20 nuggets and asked for deluxe sauce, but they gave me curry sauce. Bad experience; I won't be going back. I do not recommend this McDonald's.

31/07/2026: I arrived at 11:45 today, there were 15 people ahead of me, and only one server at the counter. Every day, at every hour, it's always the same number of people, not to mention the empty shelves, and only one employee to serve... It's getting worse and worse.
