A warm welcome, quality ingredients, and truly superb cuisine. And the mique… the best in France! 😍 I highly recommend it!

27/08/2026: Perfect restaurant, absolutely top-notch meal. The staff were very welcoming. The walnut mousse was perfect, and to finish off the meal beautifully, a small walnut liqueur recommended by the owner. We'll be back next year for the mique (a local bread) or the calf's head. 01/09/2026: It is/was very nice in this Place. The Pizza Taste very good. The Cocktails are nice. And the Ambiente is Sweet. And the Tiramisu is Brilliant. 5 Stars, because it was a 10/10 Experience in Paris.

23/08/2026: BEWARE! We came here for breakfast and, having read the many positive reviews, were genuinely surprised by our experience. To begin with, we ordered items from the breakfast menu based on the clear understanding that the items marked with a “+” were included as part of the breakfast option. However, only after placing our order did we discover that the symbols were apparently intended to mean “or” rather than “and”. This was particularly confusing, as the menu gave no clear indication of this interpretation. Things unfortunately did not improve. We were served orange juice that was distinctly fizzy and appeared to have spoiled. I only realised this after having already drunk some of it. I was also left wondering whether the quality and manner of service differed because the owner realised we were not French, as both the service and some of the ingredients we received seemed noticeably different and rather confusing. Whether this was intentional or simply a reflection of the establishment’s usual standards, I cannot say. I subsequently asked whether the bill could be reduced given the issues we had experienced, and to their credit, they did agree to do so. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, particularly given the number of positive reviews. Unfortunately, experiences like this can contribute to the perception that hospitality in France (and Italy) is poor for tourists, which is especially unfair to the many cafés and restaurants where we have actually received wonderful service and had genuinely excellent experiences. Hopefully, this was simply an isolated occasion, but based on our experience, I would certainly advise others to exercise caution.

30/07/2026: Nice little aperitif in the heart of the Citadel. Closed a bit early. A swarm of wasps that we would have preferred not to see so close. A wasp trap might be useful.

09/08/2026: Excellent restaurant in the small village of Gumieres, on the little square opposite the church. The menu featured an original starter, salmorejo, a tomato soup with fried pearl onions—a delight! The aioli is highly recommended, as is the melon soup with its creamy sauce. Kudos to the cook, and thank you for the warm welcome. A place you'll definitely want to return to. 🤗

20/07/2026: While visiting the area, we discovered this restaurant. A warm welcome and excellent cuisine. The food is delicious in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The tapas are incredibly good and the terrace is lovely! Thank you so much, we highly recommend it! ⭐🫶🏻

05/07/2026: Dinner with friends, tapas buffet, very good products, mix of fresh tapas, cooked tapas (very good squid, but not only) for a very reasonable price, less than 30 euros with citrus sangria and real lemonade.

26/08/2026: A very simple but very tasty Mexican restaurant. The food is made right there on the spot, at a small counter. There are only three small tables to sit at, and the decor is very rustic and authentic. Good for a quick bite or to escape the Parisian cheese, wine, and duck restaurants... The owner, who I think served me, was very friendly and helpful.

24/07/2026: I had lunch here in July, and the service was very swift to bring my drink, gyozas, soup and salad. A well prepared mixed surachi followed - very good value. It’s close to place d’Italie, but is quieter than a closer to the big roundabout. I recommend it!

18/07/2026: A truly beautiful place, where you can enjoy Japanese cuisine and discover its many dishes, and the service is perfect. A young waiter named Austin accompanied me throughout the meal. A wonderful experience.

11/07/2026: And they added imaginary glasses of wine to the bill even though we were told it was free (otherwise we never would have accepted it).... Ordinary food. No better than any brasserie that will charge you half as much for the same thing. The cheeses were served incredibly hard, and one goat cheese was shriveled and dried out—it was like a rock. On the other hand, the wines were served at the right temperature, and it was 35 degrees Celsius that day..... This restaurant pretends to be grand, good, and friendly when it's actually ordinary, sly, and ultimately very commonplace.... And don't believe the menus online; the real one has four times fewer choices and less variety.
