05/09/2026: Very disappointed. We made a reservation in June for September. We learned via Google that the restaurant is closed. No one called us to inform us or to cancel our reservation.

14/07/2026: We decided to return to this restaurant after four years, with great enthusiasm and the hope of recapturing the wonderful experience we had previously enjoyed. The ambiance and decor are still as pleasant as ever, but unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our lunch. We arrived with high expectations and hearty appetites. We left disappointed and far from satisfied. Service: mediocre and clumsy From the outset, we were asked to choose our dessert before we had even started our meal. An unusual practice, but we agreed. We quickly regretted it. When we shared our comments about the dishes, the waitress simply said, "Ah, I see," without apology or questions. The same reaction occurred when we sent the desserts back. This gave us the impression that she herself wasn't convinced of the quality of what she was serving. The starters were decent, but the rest was a disaster. The starters ranged from passable to good. However, the main courses were a real disappointment: • a tough lamb chop with an overly salty, almost inedible sauce; • a beef fillet that was decidedly not tender, even served rare, with a sauce that was once again too reduced and too salty. The side dishes were meager: a small, poorly executed rectangle of dauphine potatoes and a tiny bowl of vegetables meant to be shared between two people. This might have been acceptable if the flavors and freshness had been there, but they weren't. Desserts: a complete failure. The cherries in port served with a "panna cotta" were tasteless, and the panna cotta was a panna cotta in name only. The warm pear and chocolate soufflé was undercooked: you couldn't taste the pear or the chocolate, only the unvaporated alcohol. We left both desserts, as they were simply inedible. A hefty bill for a disappointing experience We paid the full bill, €262, despite not enjoying or finishing our meals. Conclusion The principle of a restaurant is, first and foremost, to provide good food. If you want to treat yourself, in my humble opinion, Le Sérac is not the right choice. Especially since several excellent restaurants can be found in the village: Le Rond de Carotte, Source, or, for a similar price, La Ferme du Cupelin and La Table d’Armante in Saint Nicolas de Véroce. A real shame for the culinary scene of Saint Gervais les Bains. We were hoping for at least a decent meal; unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

24/08/2026: I had a wonderful lunch experience at KHANA Afghan Cuisine. The kebab was perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. I especially loved the Borani Bademjan, a delicious aubergine dish with a lovely combination of flavors, accompanied by a refreshing glass of doogh. The atmosphere was just as impressive as the food. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with traditional Afghan elements and photographs from Afghanistan, giving the space a warm, authentic, and welcoming character. It really adds to the experience of discovering Afghan cuisine and culture. The service was excellent as well-friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Great food, beautiful surroundings, and wonderful hospitality. Definitely a place I would be happy to visit again!

15/04/2026: It's always a real pleasure to enjoy the delicious dishes at this restaurant. The Caesar salad I had was absolutely divine. Moreover, unlike most upscale restaurants of this type, the portions are generous and sure to satisfy most appetites. And... the icing on the cake, the service is warm and welcoming! Definitely worth a try!

03/04/2026: This is an establishment you shouldn't hesitate to stop at. Professionalism, both in the welcome and the cuisine, is evident. And that's a good thing! The overnight package is reasonably priced and of high quality. The limited menu offers dishes prepared and chosen according to the season. Well done!

05/07/2026: A tiny restaurant, very well maintained! Simple, elegant, and affordable! The welcome was fantastic. The staff were incredibly kind, which was a real pleasure. The empanadas were excellent :) and the craft beer was good. There are still some lovely places in Mulhouse, simply THANK YOU!

22/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant in the heart of Soulac-sur-Mer, just a few streets from the seafront, during the 1900s festival… we had reserved a table, and luckily we did, as it was very busy that day. The staff were welcoming, the meal was very good, and the service was a little slower for this special occasion, but it wasn't a problem.
