20/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, the dishes are generous and delicious. The service is quick and friendly. The cheese platter is to die for! Plus, it's not too crowded, so the atmosphere on the veranda is relatively calm.

12/04/2026: An absolutely exceptional experience at Bistro de l’Octroi in Sarlat! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with rare kindness and warmth. We immediately felt at home, with a caring and passionate team. As for the food, it was simply a delight: we savored absolutely sublime Périgord specialties (a special mention for the duck confit). Each dish was flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed—a true culinary journey! This is an establishment that truly deserves to be known and recognized. If you are passing through Sarlat, don't miss it: stop by, you won't be disappointed!

30/03/2026: We came with our classic car club. Everything was perfect, the timing was perfect. The menu was excellent and enjoyed by all the members. 08/03/2026: Hello, quite disappointed with our lunch today. The €19 appetizer platter was very light. The meat in the Flemish Carbonnade was very dry. The chicken in Maroilles sauce was bland. In short, very average.

01/04/2026: Dining near Place Vendôme and being able to park easily and for free next to the restaurant... What a pleasure, even on a Sunday! The welcome was very pleasant, and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Impeccable service, delicious dishes, and a complimentary bottle of sparkling water. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her romantic birthday dinner.

17/03/2026: A palace brunch... without the palace feel (apart from the price). The appetizer buffet had nice ingredients, but nothing exceptional or particularly high-end. The dessert buffet was more appealing, but the presentation made reaching the cakes a challenge. The service didn't live up to our expectations. And why ask when booking if we were coming for a special occasion? Yes, it was for a birthday... perhaps that wasn't a special enough occasion, as there was nothing particularly memorable about it.

22/03/2026: As someone who has had steak at more restaurants than I can count, this gem of a restaurant has unequivocally the best steak au poivre I have ever had, bar none. Even the steak, the risotto, dumplings and the crème brûlée were second to none. The service was incredible and it’s a shame that I live in NYC because I would happily come here every day for the rest of my life. Could not recommend this place enough.

12/03/2026: A hidden gem for anyone who appreciates incredibly good food and a special, typically French atmosphere! I always find the very limited menu with its small selection of dishes to be a real asset, and it's a truly exquisite selection. They also have a wonderful wine selection – my favorite is the Rosé Figuière Première, which is very reasonably priced. The location is beautifully quiet, on a Parisian side street, and the staff is very attentive, friendly, and service-oriented. Whenever I'm in Paris, I make sure to eat here one evening :-)
