14/06/2026: I was excited to try this place, especially since it's one of the very few Tunisian restaurants in the Strasbourg area, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The first issue was the service. We ordered sandwiches and wanted to eat them on-site, but were told that sandwiches are takeaway only. While I can understand having such a policy, the restaurant was completely empty at the time, and the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Things got even more frustrating when it came time to pay. We tried four different credit cards, all of which were declined. Rather than helping us understand what was happening, the staff kept implying that the issue was on our side, which felt unprofessional and quite unpleasant. As for the food, it was only average. The biggest disappointment was the mlewi. As a Tunisian, I can confidently say that the dough was simply not the right dough for a traditional mlewi. If you're looking to discover authentic Tunisian cuisine, especially authentic mlewi, this is probably not the place. What makes this even more disappointing is that this restaurant is one of the only Tunisian options in the area. It has the potential to be a great ambassador for Tunisian food and hospitality, but that potential is undermined by the unfriendly service and lack of customer care. With a warmer attitude and better customer service, it could be something truly special.

02/08/2026: This restaurant completely neglects its dine-in customers; the staff only handles deliveries (there were five of us – only two were served… the other three were served more than 45 minutes later, so we couldn't eat at the same time). We had to go to the counter ourselves to get water or ask for rice, which was out of stock. Furthermore, the dishes don't look like the pictures on the menus… the soups, in particular, are disappointing in terms of taste and ingredients for the price. It's a shame.

20/08/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed the carp fries as an appetizer with a kir, as well as the flambéed prawns served with homemade fries. A must-try! 👍 The team, who just took over in April, are very friendly. A place to remember! 😋

25/08/2026: Excellent menu, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and received excellent service! 😊 A special mention for the waitress, who was lovely and always smiling: her accent transported us from the very first moment! ✨ And kudos also to the apprentice who is doing a fantastic job, demonstrating great professionalism and kindness. The owner is very friendly! A wonderful experience, we will gladly return!

11/08/2026: We come here often. Everyone very friendly. Burgers are great and ideal for fussy eaters as you can have it exactly as you want it. Our one year old loves the Mac and cheese.

11/08/2026: We love this little gem, great for the family during the day, and lively for a night out when the little ones are in bed. Had a great lunch this rainy August day. The multilingual staff are attentive and entertaining, and the build your own burger concept is loved by all generations. A very impressive selection of beers and good cocktail and wine lists. Certainly one of our favourite places in L2A, I would recommend it to everyone!

01/08/2026: An absolutely delicious crepe! The galette was perfectly crispy and generously filled. The sardines were flavorful and fresh, accompanied by a well-seasoned salad that added a lovely touch of freshness. A real treat from start to finish. A warm welcome and impeccable service. 12/08/2026: The service was excellent, very friendly. I don't speak French, but they served me in English. The prices were completely reasonable, and the place is very clean. I highly recommend the flan; it's super delicious, and they make it there at home. I accompanied my meal with a delicious beer and Lebanese coffee, which was very tasty. They also have air conditioning, so you can really enjoy your time while you eat.

16/08/2026: I don't know if it was because we were emerging from underground after our visit to the catacombs and were thrilled to see "living" people, but we sat down at a table on the terrace and would gladly have spent the rest of the day there. My daughter (23 years old and a true connoisseur) tasted the best beef tartare of her life. As for me, the pork loin with vegetables, cooked in butter (which is all too rare in Quebec), was succulent. When we think back on our trip to Paris, Chez Alphonse immediately springs to mind!

08/08/2026: This isn't meant to be negative feedback, but rather constructive criticism aimed at improving certain aspects: The pizza maker is welcoming, however, the wait was a bit long. It's understandable, given he had a large order and was working alone. I'm addressing the owner who buys the ingredients: please pay attention to the quality of the salmon, which was extremely salty. It's a shame because it was so salty that I couldn't finish my pizza. Thank you in advance.

25/07/2026: Everything is homemade, excellent value for money. Starter, main course, dessert for 20 euros, perfect, I recommend it.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the sublime, warm, and charming setting, where you immediately feel at ease. The welcome is as wonderful as the place itself: the owners are lovely, smiling, attentive, and incredibly kind. Their passion is palpable, making the experience even more enjoyable. As for the food, it's a true delight! The dishes are prepared with care and passion, just like in the old days, using authentic and generous flavors. Every bite evokes the taste of good, homemade meals, with that delicious touch of nostalgia that makes all the difference. ❤️ A magnificent discovery, both for the welcome and the setting, as well as the quality of the food. A place where you feel good, where you eat very well, and where you already want to return. We highly recommend it!
