The rice pudding, revisited with chocolate and a crunchy topping, is a real delight. Kudos to the young chef for offering such delicious dishes, and thank you to the pleasant and smiling waitress. 12/09/2026: Passing through the area, I stopped here with my husband. What a pleasant surprise! To be honest, it doesn't necessarily look like much at first glance. It's on the side of a main road. But I don't know why I wanted to go in. A delightful surprise. An excellent welcome from the owner. We hadn't made a reservation. She offered to seat us, but I wanted to be outside. The weather was beautiful. Not too hot. But the terrace wasn't set up. I asked, just in case. She set a table for us without any problem on the terrace, right in the middle of the rush. We ordered an aperitif and the set menu. Wow, the starter! A poached egg, creamed potatoes, and cooked ham. The tastes and flavors were all there. A perfect egg. We continued with a piece of beef with potatoes. Simple but very good. We indulged in dessert: a creamy chocolate dessert with popcorn. Very good. Not too heavy, especially since I was already full. In short, a very good meal, with excellent service and food. The value for money is more than excellent. Not stopping by would be a mistake. I highly recommend it. Thank you.

02/10/2026: Arrived in Montgiscard on a boat this evening and popped over to the pizzeria to get two takeaway pizzas. They were clearly busy and I hadn’t pre-ordered but they kindly said they would have our pizzas ready in 30 mins. We had a Mexicaine and a Regina and I can honestly say they were some of the best pizzas we have ever tasted. Really thin bases and crusts with a huge amount of flavour. Thanks to the lovely couple who run this pizzeria - so impressed - hoping we might get to visit again on our way back up the canal!

24/09/2026: The very first item on the menu is Eggs Benedict, which is pancakes topped with eggs. It is on the saltier side! The taste is decent. I only ordered one, but I think it would be good to order it with French toast for a sweet and salty combination.

21/09/2026: We had brunch here with friends and loved the experience. The decor was very cozy, with lovely, well-integrated oriental touches, and the terracotta plates added a truly original touch. As for the food, everything was delicious, well-balanced, and above all, flavorful. The drinks were refreshing and beautifully presented. The only slight drawback: I asked what a drink tasted like, and I was assured it would be sweet, when it was actually quite acidic. It didn't bother me, but it might be helpful to be more specific for customers with more particular tastes. The staff was very pleasant, welcoming, and warm. A wonderful place that we thoroughly enjoyed!

The service was very quick, except for the desserts, but we don't hold it against them as it was very busy and the staff apologized. A truly great place.

25/10/2026: We were in Sarlat for the weekend and wanted to treat ourselves to a good, affordable restaurant. While strolling around, we stumbled upon this place, which had just been taken over by new owners. We ordered the €26 set menu (starter, main course, dessert). There was a slightly more expensive option with everything to choose from, but this suited us perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money. Honestly, go for it! Even though it had a 4.1 rating, those are older reviews, not just recent ones.

Thomas and his staff were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make everything comfortable for my uncle, who uses an electric wheelchair. Their kindness, attention, and genuine care made a huge difference and allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening fully. The food was exceptional, beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The wine pairing was perfect, and we ended the meal by sharing some of their fantastic desserts. Overall, we were delighted with the entire experience and deeply appreciated the accessibility and thoughtful service. We will definitely be returning.

21/09/2026: Typically I avoid places near tourist attractions like Notre Dame. However, this place gets a big exception. Wonderful throw back small intimate dining room. Cozy tables. The food is Michelin gourmand level. A fusion of classic French with Mediterranean influences. The escargot with chorizo was outstanding. Melt in the mouth lamb with gratin of potatoes and a fun gaufres “profiteroles”. Friendly service. Make a reservation. The food is wonderful
