22/08/2026: A must-try! Everything is homemade, and the ingredients are top quality. The owner and the waitress are incredibly attentive. From the savory crepes to the kebabs, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and what's more, it was very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a try! For four people, it was excellent value for money, drinks included.

02/09/2026: We were disappointed with yesterday's meal. The mixed cheese and charcuterie board didn't look anything like the picture. The ham was dry. The slices of bread served with the tapenade were inedible, incredibly dry, and the fries weren't great. We only ate half of our meal. We enjoyed it much more last time. Everything was perfect. What a shame. We've made a reservation for Sunday the 6th. Should we keep it?

24/08/2026: A wonderful experience at the Garden Ice Café in Brive-la-Gaillarde. We were exploring Brive as a family and had started our day quite late. It was very hot, we had walked a lot around the city, and we ended up looking for a place to have lunch rather late, around 2:30 or 3:00 pm. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome, despite the late hour. The first thing we particularly appreciated, given the heat outside, was being able to sit inside in a well-air-conditioned room, cool and quiet. At that time of day, it was truly delightful. We were especially fortunate to have Sylvine as our attendant, who was fantastic from beginning to end: very kind, smiling, welcoming, helpful, and truly professional. She took the time to answer all our questions, explain the different options, and let us decide at our leisure, never making us feel rushed because we were arriving late. This was actually one of the things we appreciated most: no pressure, no feeling of being a bother. We were able to settle in, choose our dishes at our own pace, take the time to chat, and enjoy a proper family lunch, even though it was already well into the afternoon. As for the food, we were truly delighted. Some of us ordered the cod with mashed potatoes, which was very good, and we also tried the tuna, offered as the fish of the day, which was also excellent. The dishes were tasty, generous, and exactly what we were looking for after a morning spent exploring the city. We also really enjoyed the homemade lemon-mint iced tea. We were offered several iced teas, and this one was particularly good: very light, refreshing, not too sweet, with a perfect balance of lemon and mint. Given the heat that day, it was incredibly refreshing. And of course, we finished with dessert. The crepes were excellent: we ordered chocolate crepes as well as some simpler sweet crepes. We had also asked for honey and lemon to accompany some of them, and this was brought to us without any problem. A small extra touch that made the dessert even more enjoyable. In the end, we had a very pleasant lunch, relaxed, comfortable, and unhurried. Everything was perfect: a cool dining room despite the intense heat outside, delicious food that we thoroughly enjoyed, good homemade drinks, excellent desserts, and above all, warm and professional service. We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. A big thank you to Sylvine for her kindness, her smile, her helpfulness, and her professionalism. She greatly contributed to making this lunch so enjoyable. A very good restaurant in the heart of Brive-la-Gaillarde, where we had a wonderful time as a family and which we recommend without hesitation.

18/08/2026: A wonderful, tranquil spot for an absolutely delicious lunch. Gorgeous terrace, shaded by a huge tree. Intimate and personal. The service was flawless and very friendly. The food was amazing, possibly the best we had during our 2 weeks in the area. Make sure to book a table in advance.

05/09/2026: We had the opportunity to have two drinks at Shirley's Bar. They charged us 50 cents for a lemon wedge—it was the smallest lemon wedge I've ever seen. They even said we should thank them for offering us sugar in our drinks. We were shocked and asked for an explanation. The answer was that they "have to do business" and that we Italians charge people who sit in bars without consuming anything, so it all makes sense... don't go to Shirley's Bar.
