19/08/2026: A deplorable experience. I tried to order the first time, was told to wait, and patiently I went back. While I was waiting, other people ordered. I tried a second time, and someone who arrived after me was "privileged" to have their order taken, even though they clearly stated that I had arrived first. And then I was told to wait another 20 minutes... Truly appalling customer service.

20/08/2026: The welcome was fine, courteous and friendly, but the food... the meat wasn't cooked as ordered, sent back to the kitchen and still nothing, 8 whelks on the plate... sausages like you'd get at a supermarket, fries like McDonald's... no air conditioning!!! In 2019!!! And having known this brasserie for a long time... I won't be going back... I went back to see... 2026 and it's even worse... they're busy so I won't say more... shameful
20/08/2026: The food at Le Central is always excellent; we've never been disappointed. This is our fourth time eating there in the last four seasons.
Five stars for the servers, who are always humorous and provide impeccable service.

22/08/2026: Lunch on the terrace overlooking the cathedral. The daily special tartine and tagliatelle carbonara were both delicious. The service was pleasant and efficient. The prices were very reasonable. I'd gladly return.

A minor drawback: the service was very slow due to a table of 12 arriving just before us, and there was clearly a lack of a head sommelier with whom we would have enjoyed chatting, given the excellent selection of regional wines on offer.

They had a full set menu (I can't remember exactly which) with a choice of two main courses or the daily special (14 euros): meat or sausage with various vegetables. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. A good option in the center of Foix.

13/08/2026: A very nice and cozy place, run by charming and smiling staff who take requests into account (even from difficult customers). Original menus with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Superb desserts (lots of mouthwatering choices), refreshing and unique drinks.
