25/08/2026: A very pleasant stay and a wonderful experience at La Basse Cour restaurant in the Mercure de Pau. We ate very well: the baby squid was delicious, the sea bream with vegetables excellent, and the raspberry cheesecake a great success. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. Special mention to Benoît for his helpfulness, kindness, and professionalism, both at breakfast and during lunch and dinner service. The only slight drawback was a bit of a wait before our order was taken in the evening. Franck was very friendly but seemed a little overwhelmed, perhaps due to a lack of staff in the dining room (only two servers for the entire restaurant). It remains a very good restaurant that we highly recommend!

16/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant thanks to our hotel stay and were pleasantly surprised. We thoroughly enjoyed the food (wow, the pork cheek was amazing! 🤩), our grandson loved the excellent children's meal 😋, and the staff were kind and professional 👍🏻. We sincerely recommend this restaurant 😉

03/09/2026: Located just before Sauve, Le Comptoir de l’Evesque welcomes you with a cuisine prepared to order that, unlike the outside heat, seemed to be sprinting at 100 km/h, refuses to be rushed. So we ate inside, with the air conditioning providing some relief, and it was probably the best decision of the day. Beautifully presented dishes, professional service, a relaxed pace: here, they cook for you, not for the clock. It's a place where you eat well, where you can breathe, and where no one serves you food that's been microwaved.

01/09/2026: I would like to thank the restaurant "Le Comptoir de l'Evesque" for allowing me to spend a wonderful time with my mother during a Sunday lunch! Under the summer sun, we enjoyed every dish we ordered, which was served professionally by a kind, long-haired blonde woman. We admired her ability to handle a variety of situations, always with a big smile!

12/09/2026: A truly appalling experience. We ordered paella, and the prawns arrived undercooked, practically raw. I immediately pointed this out to the waiter, who acknowledged the problem and offered to take back just the prawns to cook them. I explained that this made no sense: we weren't going to eat the rest of the paella while they cooked the prawns, only for them to come back after the main course was finished or cold. So I returned the dish. And then, the most incredible thing: no one came back to see us. No offer to remake the dish, no replacement, no apology, no explanation. When the bill arrived, I discovered that they had still charged me for the entire paella I had returned and hadn't eaten! A cooking mistake can happen. However, serving undercooked prawns, taking the dish back, offering no solution, and then charging the customer as if nothing had happened is absolutely deplorable customer service. A very bad experience from beginning to end. I definitely won't be returning and I do not recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, items are often missing, frequently desserts or drinks. The biggest negative point is the delivery delay; I place my order at least three hours in advance, and the delay is often an hour…

03/09/2026: Absolutely exceptional for the neighborhood. Top-notch welcome, fast and professional service with that lovely touch of humanity. I almost forgot the most important thing: the meal. I had the grilled octopus. It brought back some childhood memories of Greek tavernas thanks to the quality of the cooking and seasoning. In short, a little trip down memory lane thanks to the papayas—what more could you ask for during what should have been a typical lunch break? It turned into a truly memorable experience thanks to the whole team. Fantastic, thank you again. A huge thank you!

08/09/2026: Excellent Italian restaurant with very responsive and friendly waiters and waitresses; you really feel like you're in Italy. I highly recommend it. I also wanted to add that the food is very delicious and worth the price.

08/09/2026: A disastrous experience at this Italian restaurant. The tagliatelle was literally inedible, like a reheated frozen meal, and the pizza was simply catastrophic. The service was appalling: a waiter dressed unprofessionally in swim trunks and a t-shirt. Fortunately, the waitress was well-presented and very professional. An evening to forget.

04/09/2026: I love this place and eat there very regularly. The ingredients are fresh, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The servers and owners are lovely, and you often meet other customers and travelers passing through. A truly authentic and friendly Parisian bistro experience. If you have the chance to go, go for it… and say hello from me! 😊

24/08/2026: Very nice place to eat if you’re waiting for a train at Gare d l’ est, I had a flavourful steak with an amazing peppercorn sauce (I think the sauce stole the show) a bit pricey but you’re going to pay good money for good food

26/08/2026: The food is wonderful and the service at Rihab is spectacular. We didn't speak English or French, but she went out of her way to help us. During our stay in Paris, we had to go to this restaurant more than once; we loved it!

18/08/2026: I've been here several times with my friends, and today I invited my sister to come with me. Bad news: none. Good news: there will always be a next time, because I won't go anywhere else for burgers :)

23/08/2026: The service was terrible. There were three of us, and two had to wait a very long time. The herb sauce had sand in it. And they didn't explain to us about the sweet pancakes, which, it turns out, were on the menu. So, we paid for the crackers and a small bowl of green salad as if we were paying for three full menus. We won't be coming back here again...

22/08/2026: This is a lovely little crêperie! And very, very busy... I had to try three times to finally get a decent meal, and each time the waiter greeted me with a warm smile and was very patient despite the constant rush. 👏 The salmon galette with seaweed tartare was excellent... I adore seaweed tartare, so I was in heaven! Moreover, the menu is very reasonably priced for its originality.
