24/05/2026: As a local resident of Arcachon, I'm familiar with the local establishments and therefore feel compelled to share my experience compared to other places I've tried. For the price, the view is undeniably lovely and definitely enhances the experience. However, the menu selection and service leave something to be desired. The wait for our food was quite long, and as for the champagne, it felt almost like we had to serve ourselves. At €100, such a limited menu offering, like three scoops of sorbet, seems a bit meager, especially for an establishment that aims to position itself as a premium restaurant. There are plenty of staff, but the organization is inefficient. This is all the more surprising given that the service is much better downstairs at the hotel, where the portions are far more generous, with a wider selection at the brasserie. Find the mistake… In short: very beautiful view, but the overall experience doesn't quite live up to the price.

16/10/2026: The food is okay, medium rare isn't quite right for a steak; it's better to ask for it a little more done. Everyone gets sliced ​​baguettes, and we were charged €5 for that on our bill. The neighboring table didn't pay anything because they were French. It feels like a rip-off, and it's unpleasant.

15/10/2026: I arrived right when they opened at 12:00 and was able to get a table without a reservation. For lunch, you can choose between an appetizer + main course or a main course + dessert. I chose the appetizer + main course lunch set, and I was able to choose from two appetizers and three main courses. The Bistro course menu was also very reasonably priced at €36, and I was able to enjoy dishes such as duck, lamb, and the daily specials. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. I might have even been able to eat dessert, but I was completely full and very satisfied with the course. The service was also very attentive. Thank you for the delicious meal! ♡

30/08/2026: Incredible. Approach quietly and observe. Coming from the Périgord region, my wife and I sat down at an outside table and watched. At 6:50 pm, the village gathered around Le Centaure, which we had discovered by chance. First, a table of elders, then a table of regulars, including the market gardener, the winemaker, and others who supply Le Centaure with excellent produce. At another table sat the owners' family. Then, at a final table, some village children. Little by little, teenagers arrived to pick up takeout. It seemed as if the entire village had come. The woman who greeted and served, always rushing about with a smile, was kind enough to take the time to answer our questions: "Is this a summer gathering, or is this the daily routine of your restaurant?" It was the daily routine. The elders came every day for a drink. The other tables were also filled with regulars and travelers passing through, like us. What were they looking for besides the pleasure of being together? We understood: the warmth of the staff and the quality of the food. As for us, my wife and I enjoyed, among other things, a truly exceptional Aubrac beef tartare, all for a remarkably reasonable price. So if you're reading this, make the detour to enjoy this wonderful restaurant, the kindness of the entire staff, and to experience the whole village coming together around this unique magnet that is this restaurant. We promise, if we're ever back in the area, we'll make a discreet detour to enjoy all of this. Just one thing to say: thank you for this fantastic evening.
