29/07/2026: We were just passing through and a shopkeeper from Mayenne recommended this restaurant. It was a truly wonderful discovery; the food was excellent and plentiful. That evening, I chose the fish of the day, skate wing—I'd never had such a delicious one—and the side dishes were fantastic! The whole team was welcoming and friendly. What's more, they accommodated my sugar-free diet and created a special dessert for me: a beautiful, colorful plate of fresh fruit. They were incredibly thoughtful!

22/08/2026: A fantastic place. The pizzas are excellent, generous, and made with quality ingredients. The service is always pleasant and attentive; on my last order, I was even offered a free drink, which is always a nice touch. I've ordered from this pizzeria several times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend it.

21/04/2026: A disappointing evening at a restaurant that was otherwise highly rated and recommended by the local press. Despite high expectations, the dishes turned out to be bland: tasteless chicken, unconvincing slow cooking, very dry ribs, and an insufficient portion of fries. Considering the prices, the quality is clearly not up to par.

12/08/2026: Very nice surrounding overlooking the surrounding area, however, this changes as soon as you sit down. There are wasps everywhere. They attack your food and the staff do nothing about it.this makes what should be a nice relaxing g evening with family a very uncomfortable and stressful event. This in further aggravating when you ask the staff to do something about the wasps when all they do is say “put up with it, its nature”. Not great customer service when you are paying high cost for the very bland food. Others restaurants nearby, which are nicer, do not seem to have the wasp problem. Maybe this establishment should invest in an exterminator and so e customer service training!

15/08/2026: A magical, timeless place. I first discovered Le Relax about ten years ago, always on the road with my band. One Sunday around 3 p.m., we arrived in Avallon, having found nothing to eat along the way, and stumbled upon Le Relax! Jean-Luc gave us a very warm welcome, and Mireille's cooking was simple, delicious, and hearty—we were won over! Since then, whenever we go to the South of France, a stop at Le Relax is a must. We eat, we drink (except for the driver!), and we even get our instruments out at the end of the meal to finish in style—that's Jean-Luc's passion! Mireille even gave me her recipe for Époisses cheese sauce... A real treat! In short, if you're passing through Avallon around lunchtime, Le Relax is a place you absolutely must go for a casual, unpretentious meal! Try it, and you'll be hooked!
