16/05/2026: A truly wonderful place; the food and service were perfect. However, a minor point: the table near the restrooms was a bit of a letdown, and a small decorative touch for a feminine touch would be a nice addition, as the place is otherwise stunning. 😊 We highly recommend it.

16/06/2026: It was our first time there, and we were pleasantly surprised when we entered the restaurant. The facade wasn't particularly impressive, but they already had quite a few customers, and by the end of our meal, the restaurant was packed. We ate outside under the parasols, which was lovely, and next time we're in the area, we'll definitely go there! 👌 Congratulations, the appetizer buffet was beautiful, and we have absolutely no complaints! 👏👏👏

24/05/2026: A lovely inn in an old family home, perfect for a pleasant stopover in the Loire Valley. Simple but spacious and comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant with a varied and inventive menu. Special mention for the warm welcome from a thoughtful and dynamic young couple and their attentive staff.

In addition, Laurent offers a very nice wine list at reasonable prices. The service and welcome were superb 👏 Very rare these days. Catherine and Laurent are very professional and would go out of their way to satisfy their guests. Highly recommended.

23/06/2026: The kebab was dry, I'm still looking for the sauce, the fries were overcooked and hard, and frankly, this person's humor was awful... okay, you can joke around with your regulars, but when you have new customers, show a little respect! My 11-year-old daughter was more embarrassed than anything else, telling me, "Daddy, that man scares me!"

13/06/2026: Longtime regulars, we had a truly special experience at this restaurant, recently renamed Berthe, in reference to a certain grandmother who was a wonderful cook, we were told. A revamped, expanded, and imaginative menu. A more than enticing wine cellar. Dishes that lived up to expectations, a real treat. And a warm and welcoming staff. We were regulars. We'll be back even more often.

04/05/2026: It's a shame the service and food don't live up to the decor. The setting is lovely, but the wait is very long. The service isn't very friendly, with the "we're very busy" attitude. They pressure you into ordering a drink before your meal, and not all the dishes listed are available. The restrooms aren't very clean. A real disappointment in terms of value for money; it's a shame because the place had potential. Avoid it.

04/07/2026: We arrived on a Saturday around 2 pm and received a very warm welcome. We had a great time; the staff is fantastic, the food is very good (I recommend the homemade fries), and the prices are very reasonable.

25/06/2026: A tiny, charming restaurant just steps from Place des Terreaux, right at the foot of the Croix Rousse hill, where I've dined several times and always gladly return when I want to relive (or share with others) the intimate and evocative experience of an evening in the dim light of its rooms filled with objects. Undoubtedly, the restaurant's defining characteristic is its D'Annunzio-esque atmosphere, which I believe remains the main reason people choose it and remember it. However, I must say that the cuisine doesn't rest on the laurels of its fascinating horror vacui and remains consistently good (though I must admit that it has almost always provided me and my guests with both pleasant surprises and minor disappointments on the same evening). I've recently discovered their cocktails, too, which reinterpret classics with that touch of originality you'd expect from such an unconventional place: the Negroni with rosemary smokiness and the Spritz with elderflower liqueur are truly excellent, but I recommend asking the price before ordering, as they risk skyrocketing your dinner bill, which otherwise usually remains within a reasonable range, appropriate for the unique nature of the place and its location. For those wondering, the restaurant's name is a tribute to Jacques Demy's iconic 1967 musical comedy of the same name (known in Italian as "Joséphine"), as confirmed by the many photographs and illustrations on the walls depicting Catherine Deneuve and Françoise Dorléac, the stars of the famous film. Reservations are highly recommended, given the limited seating available. Try it on a winter evening to appreciate its perfect climate... and you'll be back in the summer too ;-)
