24/09/2026: The best ice cream shop in La Tranche-sur-Mer. Top-notch chocolate, homemade whipped cream, generous portions, and a very friendly welcome. They're on par with La Martinière on Île de Ré. And that's high praise indeed! The place to be.

15/09/2026: I'm here... Still closed! It's September 15th and 5 PM, there are tourists in town and the ice cream shop is closed! So I went to another ice cream shop, and it was packed. I don't understand the system of closing ice cream sales when there are people around and it's hot... It's the beginning of the season, it's June 28th and there are tourists in La Tranche-sur-Mer. I go at 9 PM and Les Iles is closed. It's disappointing and a shame because the ice cream is amazing!!! I'm leaving without having been able to eat one of my favorite ice creams 😌

02/10/2026: This place is definitely overrated. Unfortunately, our impressions of our visit were rather negative. We waited about an hour for our food, which seems completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. However, we didn't notice any particular busyness that would explain such a long wait. After dinner, the situation didn't improve – the wait for the check was incredibly long, and at some point, we simply wanted to leave. The most disappointing thing is that the long wait wasn't compensated for by the quality of the food: the dishes were quite mediocre, without anything truly memorable or justifying the establishment's reputation. In the end, we were left feeling that the place was greatly overpriced. Given the level of service and cuisine, we expected much more. Unfortunately, we have no desire to return.

01/10/2026: I think the food has improved even more; the scallops were a disaster! The Iberian pork shoulder with its gratin was very, very tasty. Thank you for this evening.

25/08/2026: I discovered it and had dinner there tonight. A lovely little restaurant. The food is delicious and you have a great time. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth it. The waitress is friendly and helpful. I recommend it.

31/08/2026: Another pleasant place to eat. The day we went, it was impossible to stay outside under the pergolas and covered area because of a storm. Everyone was able to sit inside, where it was dry.

19/10/2026: Passing through Paris on October 17th, the day of the demonstration, I got stuck 400 meters from Rue Saint-Denis. So I stopped at this bistro; coffee was €1, and it started off pretty well. Then I had a sausage sandwich (I'm still looking for it) for €6, barely half a baguette. And after that, everything went downhill. €4 for a half-pint of Grimbergen is a bit steep, but never mind. Leaving the demonstration, we found ourselves surrounded by these lunatics who came to finish their drinks. The issue isn't that they were drinking; the issue is that they were bothering the other customers with their political talk, which nobody cared about, at least not me. He insults the customers, making misogynistic and outrageous remarks towards those who are there to have a quiet drink and chat while others continue their increasingly drunken evening, and through it all, the owner doesn't bat an eye. He'll eventually kick them out when he decides to close. What a terrible night for me and everyone else. What are the police doing instead of tear-gassing the kids in the streets? A bar run by kids, full of kids. I'm 55 years old and I was chatting peacefully with JP and Rachid, whom I thank for his kindness. He's Moroccan, yes indeed... A word to the owner: Hey, man, wake up and make sure your customers are okay. If I were the owner, I'd have kicked them out earlier. You waited until things got out of hand before putting an end to it, way too late, which leads to unpleasant comments and then your fear that they'll come back and trash your "local bar." A drunken night in Paris.

14/10/2026: We had a wonderful time at Café Etienne. The street is pedestrianized and therefore very pleasant, the staff are smiling, friendly, and lovely; it feels like dining at a friend's house! The meal was also delicious; you can tell it's homemade and therefore very tasty. Thank you for this wonderful experience, we can't wait to come back!!

21/09/2026: I highly recommend this crêperie! The galettes and crêpes are excellent. The ingredients are high quality. The restaurant isn't very big, about the size of a typical Breton crêperie. You'll feel comfortable, and the service is friendly and welcoming. I recommend making a reservation or arriving early.

18/09/2026: There was very little room at the table, and the crepes were served without any accompaniments, not even a lettuce leaf. What a shame!

03/06/2026: Passing through for a business trip for one night. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much. Once you step inside, everything changes. Refined cuisine, efficient service. Pleasant, clean, bright, and quiet room. I'm adding it to my list of recommended places. You can stay here without hesitation.

26/10/2026: Okay. Okay, I see. Here is a suggested comment, firm but respectful: “A disappointing experience and a feeling of discrimination. On Friday, October 23, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., I arrived at Le Verdun restaurant for lunch. I was simply told that there were no more seats available, even though I saw that there were still seats available in the establishment. No alternative solution was offered. I was not advised to wait, nor was I even informed that a wait might be necessary. I wish to publicly express the feelings this situation evoked in me. Regardless of the establishment, every customer deserves to be treated with respect, consideration, and fairness. I hope that management will take this testimony seriously and examine the conditions under which its customers are treated.”

20/10/2026: Home-style cooking at reasonable prices. Variety of menus (4 starters, 4 different main courses offered at lunchtime). Delicious. Often very busy, so consider booking in advance. Today's starter + main course: €18
