If by chance your travels lead you to the heart of this city, be sure to stop at the shop called "Petits Délices entre Amis" (Little Delights Among Friends). By my word, this is an address that will gladden both your stomach and your soul! In this establishment, you won't find any dishonorable fare. The owners, a couple of noble character and unparalleled kindness, offer dishes prepared with the patience of goldsmiths. Whether you are a connoisseur of fresh meat or your heart leans towards gardens and orchards, the choice is truly royal: - Flavorful meats for valiant knights; - Exquisite vegetarian dishes; - Steaming tarts, wraps, and soups, made with local produce (organic and local, of course!). And what about the sweet treats to finish off your feast? Their desserts are truly devilish temptations, impossible to resist. It's a feast for the taste buds, each bite a hymn to indulgence. Alas, like any well-kept secret, space is limited. The only drawback of this tavern is the scarcity of seats. But no matter, the quality of the food quickly erases this minor inconvenience. So hurry there, but arrive promptly if you hope to snag a spot! My rating: Five gold crowns!

24/03/2026: Perfect for a big party. The paella is excellent and very generous. Even though we ordered exactly the right amount for the number of guests, we had leftovers for the next day. And the price is great; for 40 people or more, it's definitely worth ordering.

26/04/2026: My favorite meal from my trip to Rennes last September, this gem is next to the hotel I stayed at. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was delightful. I will definitely be returning when I am in Rennes again. The chocolate mousse was 10/10!

John and his family are very attentive and understanding following a last-minute issue we encountered. I highly recommend Château de la Coutancière for a relaxing stay in Anjou.
