25/07/2026: A customer for over 5 years, I've never been disappointed! The owners are absolutely lovely, the prices unbeatable, and the portions more than generous. You can easily have two meals for under €20. Special mention goes to the spring rolls, the pork and shrimp patties, and the orange chicken (very sweet but delicious!). Takeout only; no dining in. Vegetarian options available.

Far from the tourists, far from the crowds, yet so close to the center, along a boulevard just the way we like them, the Bistrot du Marché ticks all the boxes for a truly enjoyable experience. The dishes are delicious, well-presented, and efficient, all accompanied by the professionalism and attentiveness of an exceptional staff.

12/09/2026: The meat was very good. The service was very good. The waitresses and waitresses were very friendly. However... it's like playing house with child's portions but an adult bill. The welcome salad... we could do without it given how it's presented. Change the presentation. It looks a bit meager. The portion of fries... shall we even talk about it? We could count them. This rip-off of putting them in a tiny metal container, like a mini deep fryer drainer that you see everywhere... no thanks. We're here to eat a good steak and fries. So give us a generous portion of fries on our plate. And the sauces, shall we talk about them? Give us a double portion. It's clear you're rationing everything, and it's not pleasant. It's almost ridiculous. You've also forgotten the salt, pepper, mayo, ketchup, and grape mustard dispenser like before. We found it expensive considering the portion sizes. So, let's stop living in 2026... and go back to 1990... A good piece of meat. A generous handful of fries. And that's it. So, get rid of that pathetic welcome salad. And put the money towards an extra potato per person. It would be generous and welcoming, just like your staff, who are young but very friendly. Given the quantity/price ratio... Courtepaille is finished for me.

06/09/2026: Member of bar staff clearly had some issue with serving me at a polyglot event because I’m British. I asked for a cola in French and he kept saying ‘CORONA? WITH ICE?’ in a patronising way. ‘Pardon?’ I was a bit taken aback as to how someone could hear ‘Cola’ as ‘Corona’ ‘CORONA!’. I pointed to the Coca-Cola on the drinks menu and he kept on in English ‘WITH ICE?’ ‘Normal or sugar free?’ ‘Coca Cola’ Regular or sugar free?’ ‘Coca Cola’ ‘WITH ICE?’ ‘‘Non, s’il vous plaît’ and he then banged a bottle of Coke down on the bar with a glass of ice and a lemon. How hard is it to just give someone a glass of normal Coke…? But it’s alright, we don’t have to buy your drinks…

22/08/2026: A superb spot in Haute-Savoie! Chez Ernestine is the perfect place for a family outing. The setting is magnificent, with a beautiful view, and it's a great place to stop during a walk. The children loved it: games, trampoline, swimming pool, sandbox, swing… plenty to keep them entertained while the parents enjoyed the surroundings! We appreciated the warm and friendly welcome, as well as the meal. A welcoming, family-friendly, and relaxing place where we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!

26/08/2026: Appalling service. It took 20 minutes for the waiter to come, and just as long to get our drinks. A smile was nowhere to be seen either.

25/08/2026: The staff were friendly, which was fortunate because the cuttlefish in rouille wasn't really cuttlefish at all, but rather rice in tomato sauce, and the cuttlefish itself must have been reheated three days prior. Not good at all. The dish was poorly presented. This was my first time there, and I won't be going back.

03/09/2026: A terrible drink costing €7, supposedly pistachio flavored, but unfortunately it had no taste whatsoever. I returned it to the cashier, and she never once offered to make me anything else. She simply didn't care. She could have at least made me a small drink, even a smaller size, so my €7 wouldn't have gone to waste. Absolutely no sense of customer service. It's truly awful. I'm definitely not going back!

01/09/2026: The slowest McDonald's in Ille-et-Vilaine. Slow food. I think it's probably the place where they train people to be slow.

01/09/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was very pleasantly surprised by how clean this McDonald's was! It's truly the cleanest McDonald's I've ever visited. Everything is very well maintained and spotless. The staff is friendly and smiling, and the service is efficient. It's really nice to see such a clean and well-run establishment. I highly recommend it!

25/07/2026: Excellent pizzas, my favorite was the duck breast and porcini mushroom. Impeccable service, thank you ladies for your warm welcome and kindness. I will gladly return.

25/08/2026: Recently damaged by hail, this Columbus Café is by far the best, with a superb welcome and smiles, and excellent service. It's the perfect place to work, equipped with power outlets, restrooms, and Wi-Fi! In short, go there for your studying, or even just to grab a coffee.
