09/09/2026: Overpriced and overrated. Didn’t get the hype.

06/09/2026: Feels pretentious, my mom and i loved the vegetarian focaccia and the croissants were alright but the filling was so good. The americano was also very nice (my mom is a critic of americanos) and for the hot choco was not the best.

14/09/2026: Good restaurant with good prices and a self-service system. There's plenty of seating and it's family-friendly.

13/09/2026: This was supposed to be a gratin crêpe, according to the description... The filling was meant to be inside, judging by the picture of the meal... But it turned out to be a gratin with pieces of crêpe underneath. The cream (béchamel?) was overcooked and inedible. This is the first time I haven't been able to force myself to finish my plate. We only managed two bites...

It's rare to find a restaurant where you can be 100% certain of enjoying original and consistently perfect dishes. We come back time and again and are never disappointed. 13/09/2026: We went to O’Tacos this Sunday, September 13th, around 3:30 PM. It was a real shame to be greeted like that. A rather unpleasant man with glasses. We asked a simple question, and he didn't look us in the eye, no thank you, no "conversation." Fortunately, a young man with dark hair, a goatee/mustache, and blue eyes was there to greet customers in a very professional and friendly manner. He also seemed to be the only one working. I work in retail myself, and I understand that there are off days, but honestly, the least one could do is be polite! 3 stars for the young man only!

01/09/2026: We've known the Auberge du Zoo for a few years now, and my wife and I chose to have our wedding there. It was UNFORGETTABLE. The staff is incredibly attentive to brides-to-be, very responsive to their wishes, and very flexible. We received nothing but excellent feedback on the quality of the food and the beauty of the venue. We were able to hold our cocktail reception and our secular ceremony on the chestnut tree terrace. We would like to sincerely thank Pierre and all the staff at the Auberge du Zoo for this unforgettable day. I know where this great reputation comes from 🥰 and thank you a thousand times for making this day such a memorable occasion. We can't wait to come back and eat there again! Elise and Ludivine

10/08/2026: Passing through Saint-Vaast this weekend, we were looking for a restaurant for Saturday evening. We booked for 8:30 pm and received a warm welcome. We were given a choice of indoor or outdoor tables. The owner presented us with the small menu (a guarantee of freshness), explaining the origin of the shellfish and fish. We ordered an aperitif and then went straight to our main course: haddock fillet with saffron rice, baby vegetables, and curry sauce (the sauce was served separately, so the fish wasn't swimming in it). It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared—a real treat. We skipped dessert and opted to share a cheese plate. No problem at all; we were brought two place settings. The cheeses were perfectly aged, and the owner even poured us two glasses of red wine at our request. To finish, we ordered a long coffee. Again, the hot water was served separately for making your own Americano—a small but thoughtful touch, and the coffee was good. The owner is a smooth talker, in the best sense of the word. He loves his job and his restaurant, and he's generous with his knowledge but never intrusive or inappropriate. The staff was also excellent and attentive. The glass of white wine we ordered with our meal arrived a minute before the course, not at the end—again, it's a small detail, but it made a difference. In short, a very pleasant experience, right up until the bill. The owner felt we'd waited too long, which we didn't feel. This isn't fast food; you have to learn to live at a more relaxed pace. The two glasses of red wine were complimentary—classy. This is a restaurant that doesn't try to be something it's not, but does what it does very well. Thank you for a wonderful time.

02/08/2026: We had a wonderful time as a family! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great kindness and good cheer. A huge thank you to Olivia, our waitress, who was absolutely lovely from beginning to end. Smiling, attentive, professional, and incredibly kind, she greatly contributed to making our meal even more enjoyable. The dishes were delicious, generous, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. A special mention goes to the beef, which was absolutely exceptional: tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A real treat; we understand why it's so highly regarded! The setting is magnificent, with a beautiful view of the cathedral square, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Thank you for this impeccable service. We will gladly return on our next trip to Bazas and we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
