Once we ordered what we wanted, it arrived at our table very quickly, and I advise you to go ahead! The service was respectful, the decor was perfect, and I was even allowed to take some semolina home with me, etc., and they prepared it properly (I should mention I was chatting with them). 20/08/2026: I found this restaurant with an app that counts calories in photos. The profiteroles with whipped cream were light and just what I needed. The service was quick for a lunch break.

We ordered one Moules Frites and one Salade Chipirónes, and shared Île Flottante for dessert.
Delicious food, fair prices. Highly recommended!

However, every time I order, the server forgets to apply the 10% takeaway discount that's clearly displayed everywhere. There's no point in advertising a discount in the window, on the menu, and on the counter if you're not going to honor it.
06/08/2026: It's become a tradition to come to Shao's; family, friends, and acquaintances have all come here.
The welcome is warm and unpretentious, and the food is well-served, perfect for sharing, and absolutely delicious! (Special mention, in my opinion, goes to the garlic shrimp, lemon chicken fritter, and black mushroom chicken.) A must-try in Tourcoing!

According to him, the rice wasn't included in the discount, even though this hadn't been clearly explained upon arrival.

The food is excellent: the grilled octopus is a delight with its perfectly chosen vegetables, and the profiteroles are delicious too… Go without hesitation. We highly recommend it.
13/09/2026: On a Sunday in St Palais, it's best to book ahead. A table on the terrace was a bit cramped but shaded. First and foremost, I must say the service was impeccable: attentive, courteous, and very professional. The dishes were also very well prepared: salmon gravlax and the fish of the day. A special mention goes to the profiterole, which finished off a menu for only 30 euros. A great experience that I highly recommend.

18/09/2026: After eating there all week (except Thursday, as it's closed), I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic! The decor is really lovely! The dishes are all delicious 😋! And the three people who served us were incredibly kind! Thank you for making our honeymoon even more wonderful! 🥰
15/09/2026: After two days of intense hiking, this stopover was very welcome.
The charcuterie and cheese board was excellent (Abondance, Tome de Savoie, Reblochon, and charcuterie, with a special mention for the pickled onions), as were the burgers and fries. Everything was very generous.
The waitresses were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The terrace was shaded and spacious. The service was quick (we were there in the off-season – mid-September).

Having left the city about ten years ago, I returned with friends. A very positive experience: original cuisine, reasonably priced lunch menu, good wine selection, and quick, friendly service.
