22/04/2026: I'm posting a review after a second visit. I'm truly disappointed that this place wasn't more appealing. On paper, it's promising: the burger looks nice, the fries are homemade, but the portion size is a bit small. Even though they emphasize quality ingredients, it lacks flavor and seasoning. On the plus side, it's open even on Sundays.

10/04/2026: Around 10:30 PM, my friend and I arrived at the terrace. We were politely informed that it was the last round of drinks, and the waiter was very friendly and welcoming. We were quickly served a large spritz and a diabolo, and the waiter made sure we enjoyed our time despite the late hour. We wandered around for a while, admiring the many bars, unsure which to choose. We finally settled on this bar because of its intimate and pleasant location, all enhanced by the cheerful service of the waiter, who definitely made us want to come back soon!

05/04/2026: What a great find this little restaurant is! With a lovely terrace just steps from the cathedral. Delicious homemade Asian cuisine. They also gave excellent advice on menu choices for children. Much appreciated! Highly recommended!

10/05/2026: Very disappointed. I booked this bar for my birthday, and the bartender decided to completely drench me in alcohol with a powerful jet of water. No apology, no explanation, which he apparently found very funny. I absolutely do not recommend the experience.

09/05/2026: A very good experience, with a delicious meal that didn't increase in price despite the fuel cost hike. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Plus, the weather was perfect, and the route was very pleasant.

01/05/2026: To be honest, the phone reception wasn't very friendly. We wanted to order for 8:00 PM, but it was the last seating! The in-person reception was unpleasant and pushy. The food was very expensive, and so was the wine... Anyway, there's another place to go, which I won't name, "Café de l'Abbaye," which is fantastic! 👍

14/03/2026: Once again, we had a wonderful time at the hotel restaurant. A very warm welcome, authentic cuisine with a truly amazing fondue and homemade desserts. We'll be back!

01/03/2026: A lovely hotel with a very warm welcome. The staff were professional and courteous. A special thank you to Sabrina who, throughout our stay, dedicated herself to making it as pleasant as possible. Thanks also to the chef for the wonderful meals: a cuisine to discover, specialties to devour, and a cheerful atmosphere right from breakfast (absolutely fantastic!). The location is ideal for enjoying the ski areas of Essert and La Chapelle d’Abondance or for exploring the surrounding area. We will be back. Hélène and Fabrice.

07/05/2026: I love coming to this bar! The atmosphere is always fantastic, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and you always feel right at home. The food is excellent, everything is always delicious and beautifully presented. It's definitely a place I happily return to whenever I can. I recommend it 100%!

14/04/2026: A heavenly setting! Very friendly waitress, excellent local cuisine! Perfect egg and eels in parsley sauce for me and for my partner, a pike-perch fillet! We'll be back.

10/04/2026: Excellent restaurant close to lake "l'étang blanc". From the terrasse we have a beautiful view on the lake. The menu is limited but only fresh local products cooked in house. Mainly fish and duck. And very affordable.

26/04/2026: We booked a meal for 13 people at 1:30 pm, as advertised on the website. We were a little disappointed to be split into two tables, especially considering they cater to many groups, and then to find that the dishes we ordered were unavailable. The servers were very friendly and efficient. It's a shame the owner didn't speak to them very well; the atmosphere was a bit tense because of it.

14/05/2026: I had a lovely time at the crêperie. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the crêpes are delicious and generous, made with fresh ingredients. The waitress was extremely friendly and welcoming from beginning to end. It's truly a pleasure to be greeted with such kindness and good cheer. Thank you to the team at La Cornemuse! I highly recommend it.

09/05/2026: Convenient thanks to the continuous service, but a frankly disappointing experience: chaotic organization, endless waiting, overwhelmed staff and rather mediocre crepes.

14/05/2026: Restaurant in decline! Beyond the unfriendly staff, the welcome is cold and the food very disappointing. We found a hair in one of our crepes and, despite reporting it, we received neither a reaction nor an apology from the managers. And to top it all off, when it came time to pay the bill, we were strangely told that the credit card machine wasn't working and that we had to pay in cash… Avoid at all costs!!

11/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! We ate there twice and each time we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The waitress is very friendly and the food is delicious. They even made the children feel welcome while they waited for their food – a nice touch! We'll definitely be back.

27/04/2026: The food was excellent, no complaints whatsoever! But the service... what can I say? It simply falls far short of what one expects from a restaurant of this caliber. The welcome was dreary and bland, the waitress barely smiled, and the service was morbid. As a customer, you feel completely neglected during your meal; there was no "Did everything go well?" when collecting your food. This creates a very oppressive and unpleasant atmosphere; you feel like you're intruding. I used to come here about ten years ago, and it was nothing like this. The staff were truly professional and respected, with a certain standard. Now, nothing of the sort... This restaurant, which I used to love, has left me with a rather bitter taste. What a shame!

20/04/2026: We came to this restaurant thanks to a gift voucher. We received a very warm welcome. The staff were very dedicated to their work and did a great job despite the restaurant being full. The meal was delicious. Although our voucher only included a starter and main course or a main course and dessert, being the foodies we are, we ordered a full meal and paid the difference, of course. Go without hesitation; you'll be delighted with everything.
