17/04/2026: I went there yesterday with some foreign friends at the end of the day to show them this charming place and to have a quiet drink. The welcome was quite basic, we waited a good 10 minutes for the menus, 10 minutes for the water, 15 minutes to order, and over 20 minutes for our drinks, and still nothing! We left without getting our drinks; apparently, there was a change in service, bad luck! It's really disappointing for a place that aims to be upscale, especially considering how few people there were to serve at that time… You won't be seeing me again anytime soon.

19/04/2026: Coming from another region, I chose this restaurant for lunch during our stopover to break up our journey. I had seen that there was a safe play area for children, which is what made it stand out from the others. I was very disappointed upon arrival because the restaurant is right next to the road; there are indeed grassy areas around it, but no barriers or fences, so it was impossible to let the children go there unsupervised without any danger. The atmosphere is nice, the decor is pleasant, and the place is pleasant. The food is good. A big disappointment was the fries, which were very underwhelming (even the children didn't like them). The meat for the adults was good and cooked as requested, but we had asked for medium-rare for our children and were given rare. The prices are quite reasonable, and the staff is friendly (they forgot the coffee, but that happens). I really liked the option to book online; it's very convenient. So, overall, my experience was mixed.

17/04/2026: We're on holiday in the Ardèche region, and we discovered this restaurant after visiting the Crocodile Farm. It was fantastic! The service was quick and efficient, even though it was very busy. The whole team was friendly and welcoming. We went back a second time because we really enjoyed it. The grassy area is perfect for children too. I highly recommend it!

24/04/2026: A very warm welcome, smiling and very professional. Lunch this Friday, set menu: Chicken Breasts. Starter: gazpacho with a soft-boiled egg, very refreshing and appetizing. Main course: Chicken breasts and dauphinoise potatoes. Excellent. And a small creamy fromage blanc to finish. Very good value for money. Honestly, nothing to complain about. 27/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! We received a very warm welcome, the service was very friendly, the food was excellent (we loved the tangy steak tartare), and the setting is magnificent! In short, we had a fantastic time and will gladly return! Thank you to the whole team!

11/05/2026: I waited 40 minutes for my food to arrive. I ordered the lunch menu with the panache de poisson as main course. Two fish, salmon and what I believe was turbot or sea bass. Both cooked exactly as they should be. Flaky, tender, nothing overdone. The pasta on the side, perfectly cooked. And the herb butter sauce tying it all together. No complaints about the food. None. But the 40 minutes wait... 🙄 Not because the kitchen was slow. There must have been ordering mistake somewhere between the server and the kitchen. I saw other people that came after me gotten their food within 10mins after they ordered. By the time mine arrived, part of the pleasure was already gone. Hunger has a limit, and I had crossed it. Having a meal in a restaurant isn't just what's on the plate. Especially at an institution like La Rotonde. But when the experience around it stumbles, it lingers. And this one did. 👎
