The restaurant is ideally located in the heart of the town center, just steps from Place d'Armagnac and the magnificent Saint-Luperc Cathedral. Enjoy a pleasant setting, a warm welcome, a convivial atmosphere, and impeccable service provided by the charming owner, who is always attentive and offers excellent advice, particularly regarding wine pairings. The dining room is air-conditioned, and in good weather, you can dine outside on the shaded terrace next to the peaceful Place de la République, opposite the Archaeological Museum and near a pretty fountain whose gentle murmur is a delight. The menu offers a lovely selection of dishes and enticing set menus, as well as excellent wines at reasonable prices. The chef is clearly in a class of his own. He offers a fully mastered, refined, flavorful, vibrant, and sunny French and Gascon gastronomic cuisine, showcasing the best of local produce. The freshness and quality of the products are impeccable. Here, everything is handled by the Chef, everything is homemade! The cooking, the flavors, the seasoning, the proportions, the presentation—everything is perfect. Each dish is a feast for the eyes and a delight for the taste buds. Everything is done to ensure the utmost customer satisfaction; you can smell it, see it, and taste it. Bravo to this couple who have cultivated and shared their passion for so long with such enthusiasm, much to our delight!

20/06/2026: A delightful experience. A neighborhood bistro-restaurant like the ones we wish we had everywhere, with a welcoming owner. Wheelchairs have no problem getting in; the interior is spacious. The dishes are made with carefully selected ingredients. A very pleasant surprise, truly deserving of my 5 stars.

16/06/2026: I was disappointed by my experience. The staff wasn't particularly pleasant or welcoming. The coffee was very average and served far too hot, to the point of burning my tongue. It's a shame, because it spoiled the experience.

15/04/2026: I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment, particularly by the warm welcome and service from the waitress I had that day. I give it 5 stars for her professionalism, her kindness, and the fact that we had a very good meal. The dishes were generous and met our expectations. I will return, hoping to have the same person as before.

17/07/2026: A pleasant brasserie; the outdoor misting system was very welcome during the heatwave. The service and the friendly welcome from the waiters were appreciated. The food was good, although a bit pricey. We will gladly return.

28/06/2026: We've had lunch at Cœur de la Forêt several times. The setting is pleasant and offers a change of scenery, and the service is adequate, nothing more. But this lunchtime, we were a little disappointed by the portion sizes. The kidneys weren't cooked pink, and the slice of strawberry shortcake was very small. We ordered an aperitif, wine, cheese (all extras), etc. The least they could have done was make the dessert look good. The value for money is really lacking these days, and the welcome was rather informal. It's a shame.

21/06/2026: The place was beautiful and pleasant. However, the service was very slow (we waited two hours for our appetizers). The menu wasn't seasonal. The pork was mostly just fat. The menu was too expensive.

10/07/2026: Nice vegetarian dinner in a nice location, staff were friendly and service was quick despite it being busy. You can sit down and order from the QR code on the tables or from a waiter

09/07/2026: Never seen anything like it, something's WRONG! They made me pay for my glass of San Pellegrino before I was even served! (And I waited a good 5 minutes!)

07/06/2026: Once again, we stopped in Guillestre and once again spent an evening at this little restaurant, which is, for us, one of the best Asian restaurants we've ever been to. The homemade food was excellent, and the welcome was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

19/06/2026: After my visit to Maubeuge, I discovered this pizzeria and to my great surprise, the pizzas are incredible, made with fresh and delicious ingredients. The prices are reasonable, and the owner is friendly and accommodating. Don't hesitate to go; Italy is at your feet! Ciao arrivereci a tutti.

26/06/2026: This restaurant is a gem and offers great value, especially with its Lunch Menu de Jour, generally with three choices per course and fantastic value. Food is home made, delicious and drinks are reasonably priced. Service is impeccable, professional headed up by Mélodie, who is charming. On our visit earlier this week, during the current heatwave a good selection of salade starter or main courses was also on offer. The inside of the restaurant was surprisingly cool as a bonus. Parking is available outside, but places are limited, however on the other side of the road, is a large free car park, which is a good location to walk up to the Abbey above the village and some lovely views.

As for the food, everything is fresh: the dishes are beautifully presented and particularly appetizing. An excellent place that we wholeheartedly recommend!
