17/08/2026: Well, I was rather disappointed by the owner's attitude. I simply pointed out that the indoor temperature was difficult for dining, and I asked that fans would be essential during this very hot period. She replied that her husband worked in 10 degrees warmer weather, so basically I had no right to complain! A completely unprofessional and idiotic remark...
04/08/2026: Super friendly hostess, located on a quiet street just outside the busy center of Saumur. Had a delicious meal, three-course menu for €35, fantastic value for money. Highly recommended!

01/09/2026: Thank goodness the beef saved this restaurant... the service was decent despite the wait... but then things went completely off the rails when the bill arrived, with the local know-it-all acting like she was the Snow Queen! A little reminder and advice for her: I'm a customer, not one of her kids.... Good luck 🙄🙄🙄

11/08/2026: The Halle Saint Pierre is a must-see in Montmartre; a cozy little café, a bookstore with an incredible selection of books, and consistently interesting exhibitions. The most recent one was "The Fabric of Dreams"—it's a shame the exhibition catalog was sold out!

Generous and delicious dishes: "hot spring rolls," "Peking duck," "steamed basket".../... Not greasy at all, and therefore not heavy.
Asian music played in the background, not too loud and rather soothing.
The owner and his two colleagues were helpful, friendly, and smiling.
A truly wonderful surprise: we will definitely be back!

20/06/2026: Excellent stay at the Maison du Lac Chalain. The room was cool (in this heatwave) and spacious, the bathroom was superb, and the bedding was excellent. In the evenings, they offered a selection of suitable menus. An ideal location for exploring the Jura lakes region.
10/06/2026: Very friendly welcome. Clean room, but poorly soundproofed.
Restaurant: good food but presentation needs improvement.
Breakfast was good: fresh bread and pastries.
