05/05/2026: A restaurant focused on local cuisine. So, a must-try if you're looking for local specialties. The decor is really charming (old-fashioned school theme). The service is good. The food is excellent and lived up to my expectations. The value for money is unbeatable. A must for anyone curious about local cuisine.

02/05/2026: Table reserved for May 2nd at 1 p.m. We made our selection. When we went to order, the waitress informed us that the chef had decided to stop serving appetizers due to the time! Regional specialties, in the most touristy square in Tours, during a three-day weekend—we were shocked. Admittedly, the andouillette was very good, but the other dishes were disappointing in terms of both quality and quantity. Dessert: tarte tatin and ice cream served in an unsuitable, small, and shallow dish. 😃 The tart was excessively sweet. What a waste!

17/05/2026: Wonderfully hospitable and attentive service. The lamb biryani was authentic, aromatic, and just the right amount of spice. Portions are massive, and the price is very fair considering the area. My only comment would be that the lamb was a bit overcooked, but a very enjoyable meal nonetheless.

09/05/2026: The atmosphere was fun, it was super good! We had homemade fried meat skewers and salad with a sauce for €19, it was super delicious!

11/05/2026: Based on our experience last night, the food was very good, but unfortunately, the service was lacking. Our table was completely neglected, likely due to its location (a table for two by the window). We ended up spending almost three hours there and left at the same time as a table of eight people who had arrived well after us and ordered a starter, main course, and dessert. Furthermore, at no point were we asked if we wanted anything to drink with or during the meal, and when we asked for water, we finally received it during dessert, and only after several requests. We didn't even have water glasses, so we used the wine glasses, which we hadn't used since no one ever came to get drinks. It's also a shame that the prices listed on the website menu are not the same as those on the restaurant's menu. The restaurant replied that the prices are the same whether you order online or in-store, and that it all depends on which menu you're looking at... except we can read, and there are only two menus, the regular one and the vegetarian one, so it's not complicated. For example (since that's what I ordered), the "ginger chicken" is €19 online and €21 in-store. See the photo of the receipt and the screenshot of the menu from the website taken that day. There is clearly a difference. It's easy and helpful to check before complaining.

13/03/2026: We were very disappointed considering the overall rating and the prices; we expected better. The service was very cold, no greeting, and no choice of table. The fries were frozen, and the food was generally very salty. For €20-25 for a burger or main course, I can tell you I've had much better!

31/05/2026: We had a great meal at Chez Ngim! The vegetarian bobun was delicious, nothing like what I've tasted elsewhere in Poitiers, and the mochi for dessert were very good too 😊 We'll definitely be back!

23/05/2026: By far the best Asian takeout I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot! I haven't had spring rolls this good since Vietnam. Everything is prepared fresh daily, and you can taste the difference! A must-try!

18/05/2026: We chose this restaurant for its food. The welcome was deplorable, with a staff member who was condescending and made pronouncements without checking. The food was good, but not exceptional. The side dishes could have been cooked to perfection, in my opinion. The trout en papillote (butterfly-style) is a welcome change, especially since the plastic label was burnt, which was a significant improvement, particularly for a pregnant woman (we mentioned it, but received no real acknowledgment). The staff didn't interact, and there was a general feeling of coldness. The corporate atmosphere was borderline. I agree with a previous review that noted regulars are well received, while newcomers are treated like outsiders. Thus, an evening that seemed pleasant turned into an ordeal. It didn't make us want to order drinks or dessert. Expect to wait an hour for the main course. We finally gave up our table for dessert. It was a disappointment.

22/04/2026: The kebab was far too expensive for the quantity, with clearly processed meat. There was more vegetables than meat in the sandwich, and they charged 50 cents extra for a single small pickled chili pepper… I left with a bill of €11.50 for one beef kebab and a small bottle of Coke… It wasn't bad, but at that price, there are much better options.

24/04/2026: The staff were very welcoming, kind, and warm. The cordon bleu was as generous as it was delicious, with a great sauce and fries. The Munster pizza was excellent, with a thin and perfect crust. Good home cooking that's worth the price! I highly recommend it without hesitation.

16/04/2026: Passing through Strasbourg from Belfort, we stopped at this restaurant and were definitely not disappointed. A warm welcome and truly delicious dishes and desserts, even though we're quite picky. The bill was more than reasonable. I highly recommend it and we'll be back despite the drive! 👍
