18/08/2026: Hello! A fantastic tea room and restaurant, with a generous daily menu. Cathy and her team are very friendly, always smiling, and attentive to their customers. The homemade Black Forest cake was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend it. Thank you for everything. August 18, 2026, at noon. We ate on the back terrace, which is like a lean-to. We parked on the main road (Rue de l'Ortembourg), where there were plenty of spaces. A truly wonderful team and a very warm welcome. I highly recommend it.

18/08/2026: Perfect! The restaurant service was excellent, the daily special was €11.50, the desserts were fresh and varied, the flan slices were enormous, the éclairs were superb, and so on. Plus, the staff were pleasant and helpful. Honestly, it's a great find that I highly recommend; the value for money is excellent. Go there if you have a sweet tooth, even just for the pastries.

23/08/2026: The service was excellent, despite the fact that we received the wrong pizzas several times… Yesterday we went back and what did we find on one of our pizzas? AN EGG SHELL???? Unacceptable!

31/05/2026: I went there for a girls' night out; it was a Saturday night dance party, and we had a fantastic evening! The atmosphere was friendly, the welcome warm, and the staff smiling and very pleasant. The dishes were generous, homemade, and above all, delicious! Excellent value for money! I'll definitely be back for another night out.

30/09/2026: We came with a tour group. The food was slow to come out and a bit bland, but the desserts were delicious.

16/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome and ordered a Munster cheese flambé and a bibalakas. I simply couldn't resist finishing every last crumb of my meal. A very good restaurant, I highly recommend it.

25/09/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this place; we had a terrible experience. The place wasn't that busy, but they still took a long time to bring the food. My dish was a fish risotto that cost €25, and it arrived cold. For that price, you expect a good meal, and that wasn't the case. When we asked for the bill, they charged us more than the prices listed on the menu.

21/09/2026: Fantastic restaurant! I've lived in Montpellier my whole life and I didn't know about it. I took my in-laws there (they're Korean), and we had a wonderful meal with really professional, friendly, and helpful servers. I highly recommend it; the welcome was very warm. Thank you to them!

18/09/2026: Coffee was great, had a good conversation with the barista there, she was so kind and even went as far as to recommend a natural wine bar, and some restaurants! Over all, a really great experience !!

08/09/2026: A tiny, well loved coffee spot tucked into the Marais, and one that had extra pull for me given the Danish flag hanging inside and the fact that they sell La Cabra beans, easily one of my favourite roasters back home. It felt like a little piece of Copenhagen dropped into Paris, in the best way. Properly good coffee, small and characterful space, exactly the sort of find you hope to stumble across.

07/07/2026: We celebrated our wedding on June 27th at La Palmeraie de la Tour, where we had about 90 guests. Despite the sweltering heat that day, we had a magnificent wedding in a place where time seemed to stand still. ✨ Between the garden, the terrace, the greenhouse, the palm trees, the plants, and the light... all our guests were in awe. 🌴 It was magnificent, but beyond that, a huge THANK YOU to Magali who always took the time for us, finding solutions to every little problem we encountered. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were boundless. We look forward to returning to La Palmeraie someday... ❤️

20/09/2026: For a reunion after 3 years. The establishment hasn't changed; the welcome was wonderful, with a smile from the owner and our lovely waitress who even recognized us. For a return to our roots, I confirm that this establishment is a must-visit; you should even make the detour. The prices are very reasonable for quality products: homemade terrine, Corsican charcuterie, and locally sourced products. The establishment doesn't lack little touches for customers who want to have a wonderful time on holiday, with friends or family.

06/09/2026: Here, you never eat the same thing twice. The menu is constantly evolving, dictated by inspiration and a rejection of routine. At Tempilenti, tucked away discreetly at a right angle to Rue de la Roquette, everything exudes authenticity. From the moment you step inside, the place establishes its signature: raw, honest, substantial, a rare integrity. It's the sublime, earthy essence of Italy that welcomes you with open arms. Two women masterfully lead the way: one at the piano, the other in the dining room. No showboating, but an unfailing rhythm and a generosity that immediately strikes you. That evening, nothing was planned. We were simply returning from the park, she on her bike, I on my scooter, when a sudden impulse swept away our plans for staying in. An impromptu turn, and there we were, standing before this vast, still-peaceful terrace. The welcome was straightforward and warm: three seats available. But the first chills of early September draw us into the dining room, a delightful jumble of vintage charm where the eye is drawn to the objects and one immediately feels at home. The opening course sets the tone. Shared between mother and daughter, the vitello tonnato borders on perfection: silky veal coated in a rich, remarkably balanced sauce. Opposite, my tartare breaks the mold, enhanced by a vibrant sauce and the delicate crunch of its almonds. To complement the meal, the wine list reveals some impressive ambitions. While we encounter some great Barolos, our budgetary sense leads us to a Montepulciano around thirty euros, which proves to be a masterstroke: structured, round, supported by lively tannins and just the right touch that awakens the taste buds without overwhelming the palate. Between the starter and the main course, time stretches out a little. Far from being irritating, this deliberate pacing sharpens the appetite. This leisurely pace is the absolute guarantee of cuisine made to order, where nothing waits under a cloche. You can feel the love for simple things, for ingredients sourced with passion, chosen with relish before being perfectly combined. Then comes the unanimous choice: ravioli with truffle and chanterelle mushrooms. The aroma rises before the first bite, carried by a reduced, rich sauce of breathtaking depth. The succulent, plump mushrooms converse beautifully with the delicate pasta and the earthy caress of the truffle. A generous dish that sweeps everything before it. The downside of such generous portions is that they leave no room for dessert: hunger capitulates. Yet, out of the corner of my eye, my gaze lingered on the neighboring tables with a touch of envy. I watched as a slice of magnificent gorgonzola paraded by, proud in its bearing, its marbling seemingly begging to be paired with a good loaf of bread for a truly divine experience. Following in its wake sat a masterful tiramisu, into which one longed to plunge a daring spoon. But satiety held sway. Resisting temptation leaves the door ajar. The bill, around forty euros per person for such a feast, accompanied by elegant wines, is perfectly reasonable. We left completely satisfied, with only one certainty: we must return.

21/08/2026: It's a shame, Madam, that at the end of the meal you took it upon yourself to speak directly to my husband, telling him he looked like a pregnant woman. You know nothing about us. We remind you that you make a living from tourism and, after all, you are required to serve people of all kinds. With this single comment, made in full view of several other people in your establishment, you ruined our meal. Please know, Madam, that my husband lost both his parents within six months, and his weight in no way defines him or makes any assumptions about whether we are avid hikers, which we both are, despite our weight not hindering our physical activity. It goes without saying that we will not be returning to your establishment because of this fatphobia you display, which we can only deplore.

18/08/2026: A week later, we're still thinking about La Dame au Chapeau! We were blown away! Madame, Isabelle: you inspired us so much! Continuous service, getting up at 5 or 6 a.m. every morning to set up, working both in the kitchen and the dining room, all by yourself… it's quite simple: not only did you amaze us, but you made us want to learn from you! We work in completely different professional fields, and yet the passion you put into your work inspires us to do the same in our own! We have incredible memories of our meeting with you! Even beyond the meal, which was excellent. To everyone: we highly recommend this restaurant! We walked past it on our way out of the gondola lift the day before and decided we wanted to have dinner there. I called to make a reservation but I got the wrong restaurant when I looked it up on Google. No matter, after dinner at the restaurant just downstairs, we went back to Isabelle's/La Belle Rencontre to make a reservation at the right place this time, for the following evening! The 12-spice fondue is incredible, excellent, and it's a close call between this fondue and the lemon-basil tart! We can't wait to come back!

17/09/2026: The food was good, however there was a very high guest turnover, the service was very courteous and friendly and the ambiance was beautiful.

29/08/2026: A very good evening! The food was excellent! The welcome was fantastic and the service wonderful. We can't give names, but thank you to our little waitress L... she'll recognize herself. She's very professional and loves to joke with her customers. We were at table 4. Maybe one day we'll go for a drink in Brittany and then hear the wolf, the fox, and the weasel sing. 28/08/2026: We were impressed; we came to eat on a whim, without much expectation, and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable, the waiters were fantastic, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and left with very full stomachs. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

24/05/2026: This hotel is a wonderful experience, an exceptional setting, a haven of peace, with simple but very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice and delicious local products. The owner's cooking is exceptional; we enjoyed a stopover while cycling the Scandinavian Way and had a truly outstanding meal. The staff, servers, and owner all offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

06/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic Easter weekend at Château de la Motte in Liessies! The Easter menu was simply exceptional: generous, flavorful cuisine with excellent value for money. Special mention goes to the rack of lamb, perfectly paired with a very good red wine. The children's menu is also very well thought out: our daughter loved it! We also spent the night there in a very comfortable family room, with two separate areas and a lovely bathroom. A hearty breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. A warm welcome, impeccable service, and the kind of family atmosphere we love. We completely understand why the establishment is celebrating its 90th anniversary! A must-visit in the Avesnois region — we will definitely be back! 👍
