04/06/2026: We came to the Basque Country for our honeymoon, as it's where we got engaged. We arrived late in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and went to the first place we saw. We know it's almost impossible to find a bad place to eat in this region anyway. However, we didn't expect this place to completely exceed our expectations. The staff was warm and welcoming from arrival to departure. We ordered a starter and a main course, but we couldn't resist their desserts. Every bite was perfect. The next day, we couldn't stop thinking about Bar Basque. We returned the following night. We were greeted a second time by the staff and then tried the other dishes they had on offer. Again, the food was incredible. I think it might be the best restaurant I've ever eaten at. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience first-class hospitality and delicious food. Thank you all for being part of our honeymoon. We'll be back!

23/05/2026: As someone who lives in Madrid, I do not have any access to Kurdish food so coming to Paris has been quite amazing. I’ve heard about Urfa Durum through family, friends, and also the restaurant was featured in Anthony Bourdaine’s “Places to Eat in Paris.” I ordered the chicken wrap and ayran which were both so delicious. There are a few seats inside and a few outside but either be prepared to wait for a seat or take the food to go.

10/05/2026: This restaurant doesn't look like much at first glance, but it was a very pleasant surprise! We had a wonderful meal. Special mention goes to the frogs' legs and the homemade spaghetti, which were delicious. The restaurant also offers a wide selection of ice cream for a sweet finish. A great find!

10/04/2026: A small restaurant nestled under the arcades of Montluel. The food is excellent and homemade, with reasonable prices. The owner is welcoming and friendly. He was the only one serving that evening, so we waited a little while, but that's understandable given he was alone and the restaurant was full. We'll be back soon before he retires.

16/06/2026: If you’re in Carcassonne and vegan I would definitely recommend the vegan options here. They do serve other stuff too but the vegan gazpacho, cassoulet and crumble were delicious. Friendly staff, good music, can sit inside or out. Note evening meals don’t start till 7pm
