15/08/2026: Arrived at 1 p.m., left at 3:30 p.m. Very slow service. Very hot in the restaurant. The food was good, no complaints there. However, the frog leg menu didn't have enough frog legs.

14/08/2026: Great restaurant, beautiful air-conditioned dining room, very pleasant staff, superb frog legs, we will definitely return.

05/07/2026: We came for dinner this Saturday evening. The setting is magnificent, and the meal was excellent from start to finish! The price reflects the quality of the food. Regarding the service, we had a very attentive and responsive waitress. There was no wait at all during the service! We highly recommend it.

01/09/2026: Two people were refused entry at lunchtime because they hadn't made a reservation… no problem… except that the three gentlemen behind us turned around because they hadn't made a reservation either… and then the owner/waiter stopped them and said, “You didn't make a reservation, but I can't seat two, but I can seat three?” The owner was a bit cheeky and unpleasant! This place is not recommended because they pick and choose their customers… very questionable business practices.

16/08/2026: Very good food and excellent service. Unbeatable prices, a wide variety of choices, and delicious homemade food to boot. We'll be back.

10/08/2026: It was delicious, and the spiciness was tolerable. We ordered boiled fish, cold noodles, two bowls of white rice, and a coconut milk and an aloe vera juice. The two of us were quite full. The total cost was €44.30.

29/11/2025: The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, clean flavors, beautifully plated. The service, however, was unprofessional and abysmal. After the fish course, the dirty plates sat untouched for 45 minutes, until I finally bussed them myself because they smelled. I had to wander the restaurant to find the server and ask for the check, cancelling dessert. When I said I shouldn’t be charged for a dish I no longer wanted, the waiter snapped, “You chose it, you pay for it.” This place is not worth it.

25/11/2025: A well-deserved 5 stars. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, everything was perfect. The ingredients were very fresh, local, and chosen according to what's available at the market. Not to mention the very friendly welcome and impeccable service. Excellent value for money. You absolutely must go.

05/06/2026: The waitress Jessica was very friendly, the carbonaras were incredible, and I was satisfied from the appetizer to the dessert. I recommend it 100%.

13/09/2026: Precise and attentive service without being intrusive. You'll participate in a meal orchestrated from start to finish by the chef. The pace between each course/sushi isn't too fast, allowing you to observe the chef's work and interact with him. I would have appreciated a little less tuna, even though it was very high quality. I counted four pieces prepared in different ways: one as a maki, one as tartare, and two as sushi. I would have preferred salmon roe, sea urchin, wild salmon, or shrimp instead. There are many other options available. I had never been to this type of establishment in Japan. It was intimate. For those unfamiliar with Japanese etiquette, come without perfume and remain seated at your table from beginning to end. Don't plan any bathroom breaks or cigarette breaks in the middle of your meal. This way, you'll learn some basic customs practiced in this type of Japanese restaurant.

23/04/2026: I was searching for online reservations while in Paris when I came across other people's reviews here. Even if I grudgingly accept that they directly char the sushi toppings over charcoal, the way they thrust their thumb deep into the middle of the plate, barely touching the topping, is not aesthetically pleasing. Also, I don't like how the fish are touching each other when they're arranged. I think Japanese cuisine should be presented with a sense of ease. The way they handle the toppings seems haphazard. I believe that the manners and techniques are more important than the performance when it comes to sushi. Therefore, I decided against going, as I would have been disappointed even without going. The "wonderful, authentic sushi" that others have written about doesn't have caviar or truffles on top. That's not authentic, is it?

31/08/2026: Great bar, it's the best! 👍🏼 There's a foosball table. The bartender, Flavie, is the best in the world, full of charisma and beauty. To be honest, I prefer Flavie to my mom.

18/09/2026: We tried Ascoli and we weren't disappointed. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The dishes are excellent and very generous. The pasta and pizzas are amazing. The waiter is efficient and the welcome is warm. Simply put, we ate dinner at Ascoli every day of the week. We can't wait to go back next year. Tony and Sandrine

For example, a two-scoop ice cream is listed at €6.00 ​​in the window and €7.00 on the ice cream cabinet, but the final bill was €7.50! Beware!
