Generous portions but very average quality... exhausting background noise... In short, everything has gone downhill since the change of ownership. Avoid at all costs!

05/05/2026: A charming little roadside restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Starter buffet with crudités. Simple and hearty main courses. Homemade desserts. Excellent pistachio crème brûlée. A relaxed, working-class vibe. A good find.

09/04/2026: Good restaurant with a set menu for workers. The starter buffet is always well-stocked, and the main course is served at the table. The food is generous, but basic fare that reflects the menu price. The owner is welcoming. Special menus are available for holidays at different prices. There's an outdoor terrace with about thirty seats, and the indoor dining room is of a similar size.

16/05/2026: This just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. What appears to be a simple little bar, but where the food is better than in many nice brasseries, is excellent. The meal was superb, and the service very pleasant. A great find!

10/05/2026: The service was quite pleasant, but the chef's sense of humor needs improvement. No one will laugh at your racist jokes, like, "Ask the Chinese if they don't want Cantonese rice." If you're a person of color, avoid this place. Of course, he won't dare respond to this comment, like the coward he is.

13/10/2025: The worst Moroccan food I've ever tasted. Totally disappointed! The tagines were so bland, no flavor, I felt like I was having broth with chicken cooked in hot water. In short, I will never order there again, I just spent €40 and ended up throwing everything away.

24/05/2026: One of my favorite spots on Rue Colbert! The mezze platters for sharing are a gem 🤌🏻 The kefta sandwich is also a big fan. And the service is fantastic. The service can take a little while for the mezze platters for four people, but it's definitely worth the wait!

24/05/2026: Family owed business. Fantastic food. Everything was perfect. The service was superb, friendly and attentive. The place is small but cosy. The kitchen is tiny, but they manage to deliver great food! Thank you for a great night in Tours.

22/05/2026: I had a truly wonderful meal at this little restaurant run by friendly owners. The local foie gras, the cabécou cheese, and the duck leg were so comforting after my 12km walk! And be sure to try their wines; the dry white paired perfectly with my Chef's Discovery 😉

18/05/2026: I only ordered a sandwich but the guy was very cheaky and gave me one with fries, then I said ok to save him from the trouble of taking them out. In the end he gave me the sandwich (mixed chicken and meat) with fries for 12 even though it wasnt their meal deal (and nope i confirmee with him I wouldnt take any drink). AND later I checked even the menu online again and the price I paid for didnt match with their written menu.. very sly for few extra euros..

01/07/2026: I come every week, but it's still the worst McDonald's I know. I love it, the burgers are always fresh, they're just made, and the kids' area is great. However, the wait is incredibly long, the staff is nonchalant and not very polite, and they don't seem to be in any hurry despite the queue at the counter.

18/05/2026: Terrible breakfast!! Non-existent coffee, not to mention the cappuccino served in a small bowl and no milk! However, there was a lot of water in both the coffee and the cappuccinos! An important note: the price! Outrageously high for the quality and service. Not recommended!

18/05/2026: Excellent experience at Les Genêts d'Or. A completely rejuvenating stop on the GR400. The annex was perfect.

29/04/2026: I've visited this restaurant/bar several times, and unfortunately, the experience has been very mixed. The place is pleasant and the food is good (especially the blueberry tart and the beer), which makes the situation all the more disappointing. However, the service is clearly lacking. On several occasions, I sensed a certain irritation from the manager when I asked simple questions (menu not available, curt replies, few explanations). Even a basic request like topping up a phone was handled unfriendlyly, without any clear instructions. This is regrettable for an establishment that is the only one in the village and could be a truly welcoming place. A little more effort on customer service and communication would make a big difference.
