26/09/2026: Visited on 26/09/2026, evening service. I was very surprised to see a cook with a very nice, long beard 👍 but without a beard cover 😱 🕵️. It's not mandatory in the kitchen 😓

25/09/2026: Came today after the lunchtime rush. The lobby was a bit dirty with litter on the floor (but people aren't respectful). The wait time was well over 999 seconds. The fries were cold, but the potatoes were hot. The Big Mac had a 10:1 ratio of salt and pepper, and most importantly, no onions on top (maybe they were out of shakers). They were out of reusable 0.5L cups, so they used paper cups… It's a shame because the restaurant is cute.

15/08/2026: Nice place, good atmosphere on match days. The food is good and generously served, with a wide selection of beers and spirits. Prices are reasonable, the only downside is the sometimes slow service.

13/08/2026: Loved the pub quiz! Ran by two very friendly guys. Drinks were reasonably priced and location was great. Staff were very friendly and quick to serve.

05/09/2026: I came in this afternoon to get coffee, as usual. I've been going to this shop for a few years now. I encountered a very unpleasant, unprofessional, gray-haired man around 45 years old, lacking respect for customers and making snide remarks. If this continues, I'm going somewhere else. Completely unprofessional! September 4, 2026, afternoon.

10/09/2026: This little restaurant is very casual, certainly not flash in terms of the decor but we had a VERY nice meal here. My partner had a pizza which she loved and I had the osso bucco with pasta which I thought was outstanding. The combination of the sweet, juicy, melt-in-your mouth lamb with beautifully cooked pasta and a very tasty sauce was sensational. Along with a lovely Italian red, I was in heaven. It was that good!

13/09/2026: I've been coming here for years now, and what can I say? It's a welcoming pub with consistently friendly staff. They also have a great variety of beers on tap. I highly recommend it!

22/09/2026: I find this place ideal in any situation, whether with family or as a couple. The service is fast and the servers are super friendly. There is a great selection, which I find fantastic when you are as picky as I am, and the prices are really affordable.

09/09/2026: Hello. I'm a tourist in Paris. I arrived at the restaurant and it has a pleasant atmosphere, but the service is bad. My family took a while to order; their waiter had little patience and seemed to get impatient because we didn't speak much English, perhaps we weren't very resourceful or clear, but we didn't like the way we were treated, in addition to the long trip. Finally, when we told the waiter to calm down with us, things improved. The food is good, the prices are decent, and the flavors are good. The tables are clean and nicely decorated. There were only a few minor issues with the language and service, but everything else is acceptable.

09/09/2026: Good food, the lasagna was very good and the chicken was tasty and flavorful. The waiter was very friendly.

27/08/2026: The service needs improvement. It wasn't very busy and the wait was far too long. Customers who arrived after us were served before us. The menu wasn't complete. The portions weren't generous. Some items on the menu were even missing from the plates.

18/08/2026: We go there regularly; it's a family-run restaurant with a great atmosphere, especially with Christophe and his delicious homemade meals. We thoroughly enjoyed the 1kg ham hock with unlimited fries—excellent homemade ham hock, not too salty. We've never been disappointed; I highly recommend it! 😊

05/06/2026: Decided on a change of venue for my overnight stay on the way down France and found this and was well worth the effort of searching! Will start with the food, I had the room and menu option which was unbelievable value! £132.00 for the room, 3 course dinner (with a supplement on the starter), glass of champagne and 2 glasses of very good wine and then breakfast in the morning! The food is excellent, well cooked, well presented and as delicious as I hoped it would be. The other menu option is a reasonable €40 had an impressive selection of options too. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the chef came to chat to the customers at the end of the evening. The room was simple, but everything you need (the fan was a bit noisy but OK, there are only sachets of shower gel/shampoo so remember your own toiletries) but very clean with lovely wooden floors and a comfortable bed. Check in if the restaurant is not open is easy and hassle free. I managed to park directly opposite FOC and there is ample parking round the corner also FOC. All in all a hearty recommendation and is a short walk from the centre of Chalon if you would like a post dinner stroll (and is definitely worth the stroll from the centre of town, so reserve a table now!)

14/04/2026: Excellent welcome, generous and well-prepared home-style cooking, and a varied and high-quality wine list. It's hard to find establishments like this anymore, with a truly family-run, unpretentious atmosphere and honest cuisine.
