04/07/2026: The canal-side terrace was very pleasant. The chicken burger was decent, the goat cheese salad was very generous and tasty, and the hanger steak (the daily special) was very good after we sent back the first one, which was overcooked. Everything would have been fine if, when it came time to pay, the person hadn't been dishonest and told us that the first piece we were served was perfectly cooked! Besides being overcooked, the first piece was very thin and therefore quite tough. What could have been a decent experience ended on a very bad note.

28/06/2026: A very pleasant place with excellent service. We arrived at 7:00 PM at 1:30 PM and received a warm welcome. The food was very good...highly recommended.

04/07/2026: Appalling! Sorry, but avoid this restaurant at all costs! The windows are disgustingly dirty, an aperitif was served in the middle of the meal, the "Virgin Mojito" was just mint syrup, not a single mint leaf in the glass, and the spritzes were so tasteless, don't even bother ordering them! The wait was endless for a cold ratatouille and overcooked meat. We decided to leave as quickly as possible. Other people left just before us, saying they weren't very happy either. The person in charge apologized for the situation, but we know she's not responsible for such terrible service. The Courte Paille of my childhood is no more!

11/05/2026: A must-try restaurant in the magnificent city of Carcassonne! A warm welcome, a high chair quickly provided, and excellent value for money! Absolutely nothing to complain about... And the three-course set menu for €15.90 is very tempting! The generous cassoulet is excellent. There's also a children's menu with homemade fries and nuggets coated in pumpkin seeds... A good local beer, "La Ciutat," to go with it... Sunshine... Everything was perfect!

17/05/2026: We came yesterday for a drink. My partner is in a wheelchair. The hostess was very pleasant, and with the help of a porter, we were able to enjoy a drink in this beautiful setting where a waiter also gave us a warm welcome. Well done to the team!

26/11/2025: I was very disappointed with my experience at La Pomme d’Ève last Saturday during the Springboks vs. Ireland and then France vs. Australia matches… I’d been going there for years, thinking I knew the manager, George, at least a little, and I never imagined I’d experience anything like this. A minor altercation broke out with a group who had been there for several hours, over a simple misunderstanding about seating. Nothing serious. The misunderstanding could have ended there. However, George intervened, shouting at me as if I were a troublemaker, even though he wasn’t even trying to understand the situation. I was treated with completely disproportionate aggression, without anyone bothering to listen to me, even though I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time. At the end of the evening, I calmly went to tell him that his attitude had offended and surprised me. He replied that he was tired… and, more importantly, that the group in question had spent nearly €500. This clearly suggests that in this establishment, understanding and loyalty aren't what matter, but rather the amount spent. I now understand the reviews mentioning the pressure to make customers buy things as soon as they enter: I, too, had the unpleasant feeling that money comes before everything else. For me, this experience was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had with a business. I don't think I'll be going back to this place, as the disappointment is too great.

14/02/2026: A mountain restaurant where we are always warmly welcomed with a big smile and a magnificent view. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

06/07/2025: We had a wonderful dinner with friends. The service was very pleasant, accompanied by the sound of cicadas. We ate fish, squid, and meat, and finished with excellent ice cream. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience.

Indeed, we always receive a warm welcome, helpful advice on the various dishes offered, and the quality is top-notch. A real treat! We truly appreciate this restaurant in every way. 18/06/2026: Spectacular completely remodeled antique with high ceilings and architectural peculiarities. Modern rooms with large comfortable bathrooms. Definitely a top Relais & chateaux worth a stop in Montpelier which is a stunning city. Vibrant and young. Only negative point is the slow internet which is unsuitable if you have to work. A gym would be nice, but that's not a bigg issue. Hotel also has a michelin star rated restaurant that this time I did not review. If you pass by montpelier definitely worth a stop.

15/05/2026: This is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the historic district. The service and attention to detail belongs in the class of top-tier hotels. The rooms are well appreciated and comfortable. The hotel is beautiful and a visit to the bar is a necessity. The drinks are unique and delicious. The bar is truly one of a kind. Be sure not to miss lunch or dinner. I tried both and was rewarded with great food and quality service. This is on my list of places I must see again.
