07/12/2024: Our last review was 4 years ago, so we're going to do a little update! So 4 years ago we said: Every time we go to Vannes, we go tandem. Master restauranteur who really lives up to his work! It's fine, always balanced in tastes and flavors. We have absolute confidence in his menu, because even if an ingredient does not suit us, it is always very well harmonized. Remember to book by phone! 😉 Today, the masked chick of the tandem delighted us once again! Always perfectly cooked fish, impeccable service, a menu always well balanced, which allows you to make a starter, main course and dessert without any problem!

The three-course lunch menu is a culinary journey of discovery: after a sophisticated amuse-bouche, the foie gras impressed with the surprising combination of lychee and subtle rose notes. The main course - a perfectly prepared sea bream on open ravioli with onion filling - showed the creative finesse of the kitchen. The crowning finale was the creative interpretation of a king cake. The service is attentive and professional without being intrusive. The impressive wine list leaves nothing to be desired. 18/12/2024: Emblematic café in the Saint Pierre district with a pub-style decor, full of trinkets, nice little details, old-fashioned advertisements... Oh and I really like the initiative of offering a concert on Sunday evening.. Ideal spot to relax in the afternoon, the evenings, matches are nice, but you have to appreciate the hustle and bustle (generally friendly!) ^^ I didn't rate the food because I've never eaten there.

10/07/2025: A very friendly young man served us, fulfilled our every need, and even gave us a travel tip for the island. The food and dessert were great. Not a huge selection, but plentiful and delicious.

23/06/2025: Our first time in Bastia and we found it quite difficult to find somewhere that served dinner before 7pm. Luckily the maps app provided some suggestions and the Met restaurant was just across the street from our hotel. We both decided on the lasagne and a cold beer and it was perfect for our last night in Corsica. The staff were lovely and the people watching was fun.

02/09/2024: Very nice tapas-style fish/seafood table with very pleasant and professional service. Small downside on the price. As is usual with this type of "maritime" restaurant, it is expensive and you have to spend quite a bit to feel full.

31/08/2024: Fresh and delicious seafood, ceviche to die for, very good wine recommendation and impeccable service (the waiters are attentive). We had a great time and we can't wait to go back!!

22/09/2024: Warm welcome, friendly staff, very available and good advice. The setting of this restaurant is magical, romantic and refined by very careful decoration. The cuisine is remarkable both in presentation and flavors. This is exactly the style of restaurant that a city is famous for. Congratulations, next time we visit Dole, we promise, we will reserve a table there.

02/09/2024: A short 5 minute walk away from the over priced restaurants in the harbour, you'll find this gem of a place. With perfectly spoken English, the team at Chez DD know their wines! It's not a restaurant, but offers what the French do best...plates of cured years, amazing cheese, divine salads all washed down with the inexpensive but fabulous wine...and change out of Euro60.

16/12/2024: Still not convinced... While there is nothing to complain about the quality of the dishes, the prices are 2 to 4 euros too high compared to the experience: the quantity is not always there. you, and especially the tables are too close to each other for the moment to be pleasant as a duo; the impression of being in a corridor, passing servers and customers, and practically on the neighbors' plate. The high prices are particularly felt with starters, certain dishes and aperitifs (€6.50 for 4cl of Martini...).
