11/10/2026: If you want to eat good meat, this is the place. For the rest, I hope you don't have high expectations. Because the meat is served with instant mashed potatoes! Accompanied by a Béarnaise sauce... Amora brand! The fries are tasteless... Luckily the meat is good. After all, given the price, we expected at least some sensible side dishes! Please at least season the dish... And on top of that, no music, very nice for listening to the conversation of our table neighbors. Update reply: When you use the term "long time," what do you mean? Because there are about ten other reviews similar to mine, all within a month of each other... Following my February update, you changed your answer in June/July, in my opinion... this proves your lack of honesty even more.

17/04/2026: Friendly, family-run atmosphere. However, I had a problem with the drinks: the tapioca pearls were hard and dry on the outside. The rest was good, but I doubt the freshness of the tapioca, which had become hard and dry in the open air, making it unpleasant to eat. Unfortunately, I was disappointed and might even get sick. The relish looks good.

15/10/2026: WARNING: Don't trust the reviews, they're misleading. The sandwich was literally moldy: the sliced ​​goat cheese had red streaks, a type of bacteria that can make vulnerable people sick. Avoid this place. Not to mention the taste of the bread, tomatoes, and mayonnaise, which were of poor quality.

27/09/2026: We ordered entrecôte for around €21, but received the "flank" for €14. When we ordered, we were told that each weight of the listed entrecôtes was only available once. We then ate the flattened and tough "flank" with half-cooked fries. After we finished, other guests were served beautiful, crispy seared entrecôtes, just as one would expect and want. And countless pieces of meat were being served to various tables... so there was no limit anymore?! 🤨 When we asked what the other menu item was, we were told it was the same thing... sometimes pounded, sometimes not. Surely not, since when do you pound entrecôtes into tough, fatty, and flat pieces...??? We wouldn't come back here and feel cheated. The service was friendly enough, or rather, not really friendly... The background music was nice.

The shopkeeper refused to honor a lottery ticket because it had been scribbled on at another tobacconist, and he was very rude. I do not recommend this establishment. It doesn't even deserve one star! Just for a €2 ticket...

28/07/2026: I ordered delivery through Uber Eats, so I can only rate the food. The tuna looked strange and smelled bad. Clearly overcooked. The salmon wasn't bad, but it wasn't fresh either. The maki rolls were clearly made by someone very amateurish and careless. Irregular, rough cuts and poorly sealed with seaweed. The rice was also too sticky. Even the ginger leaves had a strange, slimy color. The tempura was soggy, indicating it had been fried a long time ago. We expect to get sick. I don't recommend it. Anyone who handles raw food should be responsible to their customers.

09/10/2026: An intimate restaurant, Italian-style or not. Real, traditional cuisine, slow-cooked, seasoned, and full of flavor. The service? It's the owner, the butler: a heart of gold. You have to get used to his frank and direct humor, but I love it and thoroughly enjoy it… For connoisseurs!

18/10/2026: We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Le Protocole in Dunkirk! We received a very warm welcome upon entering. A special compliment goes to our waiter: he was exceptionally kind and attentive, and his friendly manner made us feel completely at ease as a family. The restaurant also completely won us over with its cuisine: For the children: The mussels with fries (moules-frites) were fresh, expertly prepared, and a huge hit with our kids. Fish soup: My wife was absolutely delighted with the traditional fish soup – wonderfully aromatic and flavorful. Main course: I had the salmon with Béarnaise sauce. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was exquisitely balanced. Dessert: To finish, the children shared a chocolate mousse – and it was simply divine! A dream of chocolate, rich and creamy. Conclusion: Fantastic cuisine, outstanding quality, and top-notch service in a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Dunkirk. Highly recommended!

11/09/2026: One of the worst restaurants I've ever had the misfortune to eat at, avoid it at all costs! The staff (except for the young waiter) and the owner were unpleasant. €42 for a set menu where the duck breast tasted rancid, the side dishes were disastrous—it was like eating in a school cafeteria. There was no light on the terrace, so we ate in the dark, and to top it all off, the napkins we were supposed to use to wipe our mouths smelled like vomit. When we pointed it out, the owner replied, "I know." Seriously, what is the world coming to? I was extremely disappointed, especially since this restaurant had been recommended to me. One thing is for sure: I won't be going back.

I arrived 30 minutes later, asked for a table outside, and they literally asked me, "Did you book?" Are you kidding me? Complete lack of communication and terrible service.

14/05/2026: A warm and welcoming place, the service is perfect, the value for money is very good, and the quality of the food is excellent. I highly recommend the Franco-Swiss fondue and the crème brûlée. A restaurant worth discovering, whether as a couple or with friends.
