05/07/2026: July 2026, Brasserie du Théâtre, Annecy. A party of six for dinner, table set for five. I took an empty chair next to us, and the waiter arrogantly told me, "Put it back." I reminded him that it was his job to take care of the customers. All the staff were unpleasant, clearly because we were tourists. No apologies, no solutions offered. You may hate tourism, but it's thanks to us that you make a living. One star, unacceptable.

24/10/2025: Disaster...no mussels or fish at Leon's...??..ribeye steak that wasn't one....corked wine...I should have known better with the empty dining room....waitress was okay but doing what she could with what she had...disappointed..

28/04/2026: Good hotel where I stay regularly. Friendly and attentive welcome. Clean rooms, although a bit dated. Pleasant setting and easy access and parking. Generous breakfast. No complaints.

15/04/2026: Excellent welcome. We were upgraded because there was a 5-minute wait for our room. The restaurant was excellent with reasonable prices. We will definitely return and recommend it. Sincerely

20/04/2026: Since the takeover by Palatium, it's gone downhill. The new owners are incompetent, prices have gone up, and they've even removed the players' water fountain. Great.

16/06/2026: Well-located restaurant in the center of Bourganeuf. The dining room is nicely decorated and very quiet! There was an unpleasant cold draft, even though we were right next to the heater! The waitress was unfriendly, grumpy, and huffing and puffing. The pizza oven wasn't hot at 12:10 PM, so there was a long wait for our pizzas. The menu was so-so, but the prices were reasonable. The service was too slow, which is a shame. (Arrived at 12:00 PM. They said we should leave by 1:00 PM at the latest, but we left at 1:15 PM) Our meal: Avocado and surimi Fish was good, but the potatoes were unappetizing Tartiflette pizza: the crust was undercooked, and the potatoes were canned. No cream base for the tartiflette pizza Floating island: the egg white was too sweet.

13/06/2026: The owners were very friendly, but one of the waitresses must have been having an off day. The meal was decent, nothing special. The flank steak was far from tender. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was clean.

28/04/2026: We came for lunch two days in a row, as a group of three, without a reservation. Even though it was busy when we arrived, they did their best to find us a table and we received a very warm welcome. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We recommend making a reservation if you can.

10/07/2026: It’s very hard to find a restaurant that excels in multiple areas—its staff, atmosphere, and food—but when you do, it’s usually Le Franklin Roosevelt. This cozy, fabulous restaurant holds a special place in every customer’s heart.

18/06/2026: Today I went to this bar for a drink with a friend. We'd barely walked in when the waitress, looking a bit overwhelmed, gave us curious looks. We ordered two beers at the bar. Then came the owner, Mr. Bob. He said hello after a few strange glances. To be fair, we weren't dressed up; we'd just come from work. We exchanged a few pleasantries, and I told him we were better off in here. He replied, "No, staying outside is better." I repeated, "Stay outside?" But there was no answer. Then he sprayed perfume in the air as if our perspiration was too much for this prestigious bar. My friend confirmed that he had indeed said, "No, staying outside is better." So, be warned: if you go to this bar, you will neither be properly welcomed nor treated with the respect you deserve. Bob, you'll never send me back to your bar again. If I could give it zero stars, I would. A word to the wise.

06/07/2026: Horrible experience. The food was low quality, with little variety. The place looks like it belongs in Provence but doesn't serve any typical dishes. It was 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) on a hot day, and when I asked about air conditioning, they told me the breeze from the street was enough. To top it all off, they charged us for drinks we hadn't ordered. Not recommended at all.

01/07/2026: Waiters added extra portions of a dish without asking. We only found out when we received the bill. Incorrect dishes were also served, and when we mentioned this upon arrival, there was no room for understanding or flexibility. We were well received, but from the moment they started making mistakes themselves and were called out on it (in a respectful and friendly manner), it was over with ‘good service’. NOT RECOMMENDED.

16/01/2026: New owner and new name. The new owner, who is friendly, offers a menu of traditional dishes made with local ingredients (from nearby farms). I stopped by at 11:30 am and it smelled delicious. I encourage you to go and see for yourself.

28/10/2025: I'm in the restaurant right now. It's not my first time here; I eat at a lot of restaurants about once a month because of my job. I'm always warmly welcomed with a smile, and the food is good and fresh. And it's not expensive at all. I highly recommend it. If you want to eat well, have a good time, and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, stop by.

01/07/2026: In the context of my father's funeral, my mother and I reserved a space at this establishment four days in advance to accommodate our loved ones after the ceremony. The manager had confirmed to us, before our departure, that everything was properly registered. On the day of the funeral, upon our arrival, nothing was ready. The only waitress present wasn't even aware of our reservation. Fortunately, she demonstrated remarkable professionalism, calling on a colleague and the cook for help. She did everything she could to rectify this situation, for which they were not responsible. A huge thank you to them. The next day, I returned to ask the manager for an explanation. I was met with utter disdain. She simply stated that she was waiting for a confirmation call, without acknowledging the problem, without offering the slightest apology, and without showing even a modicum of empathy, despite the circumstances. Mistakes happen. On the other hand, the lack of a sense of responsibility and consideration towards grieving customers is, for me, unacceptable.

10/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was closed and there was little explanation on the information board.

14/06/2026: Visible from the road, the charming hamlet, perfect for exploring on foot, and the impressive remains of the Cistercian abbey are well worth a visit. It's a shame there's no historical information about the site, even though the panels recounting the villagers' stories are very interesting. Definitely worth discovering in July during the "Joutes and Troubadours" festival! 😉
