29/08/2026: It's still a McDonald's, but it's really dirty, not to mention disgusting. The hygiene of the toilets and the garbage cans is appalling.
26/08/2026: It's my fault, why do I go to this junk food paradise just because I have a child with me? The hamburger was mediocre at best, so many ice cubes in the soda it tasted like water. The fries were decent enough, but we had to ask for extra salt.
The coffee was okay, nothing special.

13/05/2026: I visited on December 31, 2024, and we enjoyed the Cantonese food. The food was fresh and visually appealing, whether you ate there or ordered takeout.

14/08/2026: Fantastic restaurant right in the old center of Chalon-sur-Saône, had a fantastic meal, also great with children, and the price-quality ratio is almost too good to be true. We will definitely be back next year 👌🏻
08/08/2026: Disappointed. We came with friends to enjoy the lovely location on the cathedral square. We were looking forward to dinner… The salad had no dressing and no flavor… As for dessert, no ice cream in this heat, supposedly because it takes too long… but a selection of cakes not suited to summer. The waiter was friendly, but we won't be back…

The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly. The space was large with comfortable tables. There was also a restroom.
17/05/2026: Bland food, zero atmosphere, faulty payment system that printed an "abandoned" receipt even though my account had been debited. I had to call the police to leave the restaurant unharmed because the entire staff held me hostage. The cook yelled at me and pushed me, claiming I hadn't paid, despite the obvious evidence that the bill had been settled. Tourists beware!

27/07/2026: A joke, a dirty, rude guy (and, to emphasize, his t-shirt says "eat your dead!!!") practically ready to leave, the owner trying to salvage what she can, the food... commercially nonexistent. In short, for a very high price... best forgotten as far as we're concerned. Sorry for any mistakes. (Plus glasses)

We had a sort of "healthy" dark chocolate bar with an almond flour base, peanut butter, and a chocolate topping. It was good. A cortado was €2.90. A bit pricey, but the service was good, and it was the only gluten-free place we found open in the afternoon (at 4 pm; this place closed at 6:30 pm).
The place is nice, and the service was friendly.
27/09/2026: Spectacular views of the Midi D’Osseau, while you can eat or have a cocktail.

However, I was disappointed by the lack of clarity when ordering: the sauce for the steak is extra (€1.50) as are the vegetables (a few green beans for €4), so the steak comes to €37. Be sure to ask for the side dish, which is included. A real shame; it was my last time at this establishment.

19/07/2026: We celebrated a surprise birthday there, but we weren't dressed for the occasion. The welcome was very warm, and the service was excellent. The sommelier put a few drops on the table, but we forgave him. And then, at the end, there was a fireworks display without us even knowing! I had four Balbec menus, including a sole meunière, and the cheese trolley was a delight. It just goes to show you don't need a Michelin star to eat well.
