26/03/2026: It's a shame we can't give zero stars. Nothing is homemade, the welcome isn't warm, and the menu has very few choices, so we expected a decent meal, but it's quite the opposite. The place is dirty, there's a dead cockroach and cobwebs... in short, avoid it, especially since when we went to pay, we were told that credit cards weren't accepted... this should have been mentioned upon arrival.

26/03/2026: Arrived at the restaurant, empty, unwelcoming waitress. I was barely seated when the aperitif arrived, then the main course—if I can even call it that!—was served. There was a dead cockroach and a cobweb on the windowsill. They offered five dishes, one of which was out of stock. You don't expect haute cuisine, but homemade food, with such limited choices. In the end, I ordered beef tongue and rice. Everything was mediocre, even disgusting. For €17 a dish, it was like eating canned cafeteria food! Not to mention the hygiene: a Maggie bottle covered in crust. Then, at the end of the meal, they told me they only accept checks or cash, showing me a ridiculous, invisible note. Basic courtesy of the hostess should have warned us! This restaurant is a disgrace to French gastronomy. How can they call themselves restaurateurs and sell such mediocre food? A can of Panzani ravioli would have been better than the dish served.

11/09/2026: We were served by a very pleasant young waitress, a new employee. There's a 10% surcharge on drinks consumed on the premises. We were enjoying our meal when the owner suddenly stood in front of us to check our tray and announced there was a mistake, demanding an additional charge of €3.30. We recalculated our bill and found the error was only €2.42. The difference is due to the fact that the 10% surcharge is added to each item, rounding up to the nearest euro. We simply applied the 10% to the total without rounding, knowing that 1 and 2 cent coins are still in use. All this to say that this person isn't very transparent in her accounting or pricing displays, and above all, she's very unpleasant and suspicious of her staff. It's no wonder the young employee makes mistakes under the pressure the owner puts on her, scrutinizing her every move. Good luck to her!

25/07/2026: Excellent! Just as friendly and delicious as it was 30 years ago. One of the few restaurants in St Rémy that hasn't changed! So many memories! And thank you to the two waitresses, Milla and Anaïs, for their kindness and professionalism!

25/07/2026: Still same great authentic place to eat. Great simple food in a quiet place. No noise. Service by the 2 girls great. Only one wine producer but a very good choice

22/09/2026: Not all menus are available at the kiosk, so we wanted to order via the app using click and collect, but click and collect isn't available in Angerville.

19/09/2026: Click & Collect order, Drive-Thru service. My order was nothing special, yet I had to wait over fifteen minutes to be served. I ordered a large order of fries, and while the packaging was correct, I received the quantity of a medium order, and it was served lukewarm. I pointed this out to the employee who brought me the bag. She replied that it was because they were very busy, instead of offering an exchange. I didn't insist. The sundae was forgotten. She went back to get it and returned with it, but without the peanuts. So she had to leave again. Therefore, I do not recommend this restaurant at your own risk.

21/09/2026: I come to this pizzeria regularly, and I must first say that the pizzas are excellent; I have absolutely no complaints there. 🍕 However, I'm quite disappointed by the change in service. The waiters and waitresses we had before were always very welcoming, smiling, and pleasant. For the past few weeks, there's one waiter in particular whose experience is unfortunately quite different: not a smile, speaks very softly, seems completely listless, and really gives the impression of not wanting to be there. The welcome is cold and frankly unpleasant. It's a real shame because when you come regularly and enjoy the pizzas so much, this kind of attitude ends up spoiling part of the meal. I sincerely hope it will improve because, for the food alone, this pizzeria is definitely worth returning to.

20/09/2026: The best pizzeria in Saint-Étienne. Clean, well-organized, conveniently located, and easily accessible in the heart of the city. An extensive menu with pizzas to suit every taste. Impeccable, fast, and efficient service. Our food waited very little.

03/09/2026: It was absolutely delicious! We didn't have any particular expectations for this kebab; we just stopped by, drawn in by the enticing aroma and the desire for a light snack. I don't know who said the portions were small; a standard kebab portion is more than enough, even if you haven't eaten all day.

02/09/2026: Absolutely fantastic in every way! The new owners are just as lovely as the previous ones and gave me a very warm welcome, with smiles and genuine kindness. I had a veggie bowl which was delicious, prepared with great care, a very generous portion, with incredibly fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. You can go there without hesitation.

07/08/2026: Very good couscous. We ordered delivery from the 78 (Yvelines department). It's very generous. The broth is excellent, the best I've tasted so far. It's just a shame the containers aren't suitable for delivery; the bottom box of broth got crushed. Next time I'll eat in to avoid this problem. 🤗

30/07/2026: We came with our family; the couscous was delicious, the atmosphere calm, and the service perfect. I've also tried their delivery service several times and highly recommend it.

04/11/2025: Great time with the family, we were right to arrive early. The meal was perfectly fine, the desserts were nothing special.

01/11/2025: Stopped by several times for a coffee or a drink, small platters... alone, with family, or for a business meeting. After several years, I've concluded: a lot of turnover, very young servers, probably paid a pittance according to the pay scale, and the same managers rotating through the chain's establishments (you rarely see them in the dining room, not even during rush hour). In short, the recipe for toxic, cushy management that damages the city's reputation, and which should be replaced by people passionate about their work and who know how to run a business. And also, probably, they should pay them properly to avoid driving away their staff and discouraging young people from this wonderful profession. I recently remember a young woman, Lola, I think, who deserves to be a manager. Quick, professional, smiling, but stressed. You can feel the stress of the servers and the difficulties they face. People clearly come here for the setting, the proximity to the Parc Floral. It's magnificent. So it's justified on the bill, nothing shocking. BUT, the staff is underpaid and exploited. There are long delays between The moment we were seated, the moment our order was taken, and then we were served—even during quiet periods. But during rush hour, it's terrible. Every time, it saddened me to see the waitresses (and sometimes waiters) running around in all directions, left alone when people arrived in groups, without time to clear and clean the tables, constantly being called away. And with no colleagues coming to help, they had to deal with the discontent of customers who had the wrong people. I know I won't return to any of the Epikur group's establishments until the management changes. And I advise both locals and tourists against it. One of the few quality restaurants, L'Estrade, has closed; we won't find that same quality at La Rotonde, even though it has everything to be an exceptional establishment because of its location. A huge waste.

09/09/2026: I arrived at the drive-thru this evening, no cars. I waited for 10 minutes, saying good evening, but no one answered. So I walked to the last lane and saw the employee (who was chatting) with her headphones around her neck, not on her ears, so of course she couldn't hear the cars arriving. I knocked on the window because she couldn't see me either. I said good evening, explaining that we'd been waiting for 10 minutes and had walked this far because there was no response. The woman was condescending, without even saying good evening, and told me to walk around the drive-thru again because she was "busy." Unacceptable... we won't be coming to this McDonald's again.

24/08/2026: It's unacceptable that there's no access for people with reduced mobility. Furthermore, the staff is incompetent and the prices are excessive compared to the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. A complete failure.

03/09/2026: A family-run hotel with excellent traditional cuisine. You feel right at home. The scenery is magnificent, and the Orezza springs are nearby. There are hikes to do, especially the San Pedrone trail; the view is breathtaking. A big thank you to Valérie, Marjorie, and their entire team. I highly recommend it.

07/08/2026: We only went to the restaurant. The terrace had an exceptional view, but the food was ordinary. It was more like a snack bar with restaurant prices. The service was quick and pleasant.

15/09/2026: The opening hours need to be updated; everything is closed at 10:30 PM.

06/08/2026: This was my first time ever at this ice cream shop, on a family outing with my mother, sister, and children… and it will be my last. Upon arrival, we were very disappointed: no crepes, no waffles, no homemade ice cream. We had to make do with Italian-style gelato and granitas, which were unfortunately tasteless. The worst part was the service. One employee was haughty, impatient, and unpleasant. She rushed us to choose our flavors even though several of us were ordering. The atmosphere was cold; we really felt like we were bothering her. At one point, she even let a colleague take over. Fortunately, he was much more pleasant and professional. Another employee then served us, but still in a hurry. The restaurant wasn't welcoming: dirty tables, a lot of noise, and an infestation of mosquitoes that made the experience even more unpleasant. In the end, a family outing that was supposed to be enjoyable turned into a real disappointment. It's a shame, because a smile and a little kindness would have already made a big difference.

15/12/2025: What a pleasant surprise at Restaurant du Bon Vieux Temps! We were looking for a nice restaurant and didn't know anything about the area. We went in without really knowing what to expect, and honestly, we had a fantastic time. The food was incredibly high quality at a more than reasonable price, the welcome was wonderfully warm, and the ingredients were local, seasonal, high-quality, and homemade. The menu is limited to a few dishes, which is a real plus because each one is carefully prepared and generous! You can taste the passion in the cooking! I recommend it 100%!
