01/09/2026: We stopped on the highway because there was a Paul restaurant. What a mistake. The woman taking orders at the counter is awful to everyone. We watched her behavior with the few other people after us. She needs to be fired from the counter. Put her in the kitchen; she might be better (but that's not certain).

01/09/2026: My God! What did we do to deserve such an unpleasant welcome? The lady didn't smile, her tone was more than military, very disagreeable! You surprised my husband and me so much that we just looked at each other and laughed! I know we're at a rest stop on the motorway, but we go to Paul's because we want Paul's! We were served our cappuccinos in orangeade glasses! I checked carefully, there were plenty of large cups available... well, frankly, that's not a big deal, but I don't want to be harassed when we're taking a break on the motorway. A gentleman came from the kitchen, all smiles and very friendly, a big hello. You should switch jobs! If you don't know how to handle customers, you shouldn't be around them. The kitchen is fine! In short: run away!

21/09/2026: Hello, last night I went to the drive-thru, as usual, and there were order mistakes—my son didn't get the right drink! But the worst part is they poisoned me! Yes, a horrible night for me, and yes, food poisoning!! A terrible stomach ache and severe diarrhea all night!! Now I still have to go to work, so thanks a lot! I definitely noticed the taste was different than usual, but I kept eating—big mistake! I won't be going back anytime soon!!

20/09/2026: A disgrace!!! Drive-thru order I ordered a double Chicken Gold!! They gave me a single!! And the price isn't the same!!! They're ripping off their customers! Not to mention the mistakes with the Daim caramel McFlurry ice cream. They gave it to me without the Daim, and if I didn't say anything, they would have left it (no Daim, but they didn't replace it; I had to see it and order MMS instead). Real thieves!!!! And to top it all off, they were missing a drink!!!!! At McDonald's prices, the service and the care taken when preparing orders should be much more professional. Teach them to count: 1 + 1 = 2, not 1 (for the Chicken Gold).

It was poor, very slow and clumsy (table next door got coffee and water on their laps) Food was awful: 3 slices of smoked salmon out of a package from the nearest supermarket with 3 slices of packed bread ("Bimbo"), costing 14€ ?!?; vol-au-vent is inenarrable, between bad and very bad. 03/06/2026: I first encountered this hotel in the heart of the Perche region 35 years ago. The setting is very pleasant, however, the rooms, service, and cuisine no longer live up to the prices. Breakfast consisted of Netto yogurt, coffee from a thermos, and frozen pastries and bread! Luxury! The rooms are spacious but could use a serious refresh; the ambiance is dated, with cork and worn carpeting. Therefore, the price is exorbitant considering the amenities—a Relais & Châteaux price for an Ibis!

31/05/2026: A splendid location; the setting and the village overlooked by this 16th-century castle, modernized in 1973, are magnificent. Dinner is of high quality but suffers from a slightly excessive supplement. The wine and spirits list is excellent, with discoveries perfectly suited to the dishes served. However, the decor and some of the hotel's amenities could use a refresh. Breakfast is on par with an Ibis Budget hotel. It's not served in the castle, which means you have to go down to the mill/restaurant. This creates a mismatch between the prices charged and the overall experience at the Domaine de Villeray.

14/04/2026: Avoid this place at all costs! I ate there for lunch today. I ordered a pizza, but they said they didn't have a second one. So I ordered another one the owner offered me, which had frozen merguez sausage on it. My companion and I were sick all afternoon. I don't need to elaborate.

23/08/2026: This pizza maker is neither transparent nor honest at all. I called, and he told me it would only take ten minutes on the phone, but when I finally got to his truck, it wasn't ready, and he told me fifteen minutes. It was half an hour later that I finally got my pizzas. So, all that time wasted. I do not recommend him.

30/07/2026: Honestly, I stopped by out of curiosity, but it's really not up to par. I bought two pizzas, and it felt like a hidden camera prank. There was barely any cheese on top. Even for me, the pizzas from the store are better, the frozen ones. It's shameful to sell pizzas like that. I really don't recommend people come here; there are much better pizzas elsewhere for that price. I couldn't even finish half of one, it was so bad.

30/09/2026: This is the worst restaurant. I went in because of its good location, but the middle-aged male waiter with glasses was awful. He was unfriendly from the start, and his attitude when taking our order was arrogant, but unfortunately, this kind of thing happens occasionally in France. The worst part was that he intentionally tried to cheat us out of 10 euros when it came time to pay. Our table of seven split the bill into two, paying with two different cards. In France, it's common to split the bill and pay separately, for example, by family or individually. When paying with the first card, we told the waiter what our group had drunk, and he said 14 euros, which we paid. It was contactless payment. Normally, they would ask if we wanted a receipt at that point, but they didn't say anything. We should have asked for a receipt from the beginning. Next was the payment with the second card. When we said, "The rest, please," the waiter did some mental calculations, operated the machine, and turned the card reader towards us, so we touched it. He still didn't give us a receipt. We should have been paid for everything, but immediately afterward, the waiter said, "I made a mistake in the calculation, you're 10 euros short." Although we thought it was strange, we reluctantly touched our cards again and paid the 10 euros as instructed. Then the waiter left without giving us a receipt. Feeling something was off, I checked the amount of the second card payment online on my smartphone, and it turned out that we had paid the exact correct amount, including the first payment. In other words, we had overpaid the 10 euros he demanded. So, we called out to the waiter, who was moving around the restaurant, "Could I have a receipt?" He didn't say anything, and didn't give us a receipt either. Instead, he simply tossed a 10 euro bill onto our table and walked away. In other words, he noticed that we had noticed the discrepancy in the calculation (that we had been shortchanged by 10 euros), so he quickly returned the 10 euros in cash without saying a word. When we protested, he retorted, "I just made a mistake, everyone makes mistakes, don't you ever make mistakes?" Of course, there was no apology whatsoever. He disappeared into the kitchen and wouldn't come out. As we were leaving, I said, "You think you can get away with this because we're foreigners, that's despicable," to which he replied, "If that's what you think, then that's that." A proper Parisian waiter is highly professional, takes pride in their work, and provides proper service. This waiter was the complete opposite; a despicable person who tried to swindle small change from foreign tourists. I will never go there again. It's important to carefully check the bill, and even if it's only 5 euros or 10 euros, you should protest if there's a mistake. Otherwise, Japanese tourists will be taken advantage of.

28/09/2026: Hello, My friend Brigitte introduced me to this beautiful place. It was a pleasure to accompany her there to celebrate her birthday. We had a wonderful time together. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The cuisine is refined, the portions are generous, and it's delicious. Highly recommended! The location is lovely and surrounded by nature. 🍄‍🟫

27/09/2026: Hungry hikers stopped for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, a one-hour wait for two fries and two slices of ham for €28 🥲🥲 Disappointed

01/10/2026: We are a couple from Lourdes who came to Narbonne for lunch today, exploring its renowned market halls and market. We've lived in Saint-Cyprien for two years and received a very warm welcome, especially from the young waiter who was incredibly dedicated and motivated. We also work in the restaurant industry and were not disappointed with the service at all. However, the €32 set menu was very small. My husband ordered the duck breast, and you can see for yourself in the photo. It's better to simply order from the menu. As for the starter, the foie gras was excellent, and my wife's goat cheese salad was delicious and generously filled. On the other hand, the sea bream fillet was very thin and not at all substantial. For the price, we were still hungry after leaving, so I don't recommend the set menus. The ratatouille side dish was inedible, tasteless, and dry with no sauce. Despite these issues, we had a very good time. It wasn't a bad experience, as we will return to try other dishes that caught our eye at neighboring restaurants. I had to say that the price is too high for the quantity. I don't know why the photo isn't showing up; I'll see how I can post it. Thanks to the whole team.

19/09/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, but this was a truly awful experience. The cuttlefish I ordered wasn't even cooked... Imagine my horror when I saw a rat crawling out of one of the service entrances. Of course, the staff didn't seem surprised, nor did the owner. L'Ave has certainly changed since our last visit a few years ago, but this time, I won't be leaving with fond memories.
