03/07/2026: The Chamonix Valley isn't cheap, and that's fine and well-known, but this restaurant really takes the cake. A cup of coffee from a cheap vending machine (and very poor quality) will cost you 5 euros. A draft beer 7.60, etc. The setting is beautiful, but the prices aren't okay for what you get. And to use the toilet, you have to go to the cable car...

23/06/2026: Horrible staff. I once ordered a meal from them through Uber Eats, and half of it had absolutely nothing to do with what I ordered, but I didn't mention it and even gave a good rating, thinking about the heatwave and their efforts. Tonight, I ordered another meal a little before the end of the available order period, but the assigned delivery drivers turned back every time they came. And once, after contacting the restaurant owner, he brushed me off with utter disrespect! I understand the fatigue and that anyone working in the restaurant industry is on edge because of the customers, but WHY be so mean and dismissive when I'm being polite and kind? I quote, "You deal with it, I have a life." In short, don't waste your time or money; other restaurants know how to treat customers properly, which is to say, WITH RESPECT.

23/04/2026: I went into this bakery expecting to get some really good bread, and I ended up leaving with a slice of stale sourdough. Paying €3 for a crust of stale bread? They won't be seeing me again anytime soon.

06/03/2026: A very disappointing experience. I had booked for my husband and myself for Valentine's Day. I was thrilled to spend an evening in a place that looked magnificent and had a great atmosphere for Valentine's Day. Disillusionment quickly set in. Even when I booked, I had to pay in full upfront... Okay, fine, for a fine dining establishment, you might think that's normal. Then, two days before the event, I received a call to confirm my reservation and was told it wouldn't be at the Robert II but at the Salle Agnès, and at 7:00 PM sharp. I had no idea what this venue was. On the day, upon arrival, huge disappointment! A function room with dozens and dozens of tables, about 120 people, singers and musicians, but it was way too loud, though thankfully they were there. The decorations were awful, with tacky fake roses around the pillars. Nothing like the setting of the Robert II. In short, the first disappointment upon arrival. We were seated and then waited an hour and a half for our drinks, and only after two hours did the first course arrive. It was excruciatingly long. The service was abysmal; they brought us white wine, the bottle was lukewarm, and when we asked for a bucket, they had no ice, so we got cold water. A Coke cost €12—unheard of, except maybe in Monaco. The meal wasn't hot enough, and the dessert was mandatory and meant to be shared. They brought us bread after we'd finished the salmon; the table service was completely inadequate. Not to mention that we were charged for wine pairings we hadn't ordered, and we had to go back and forth twice to get a refund for several days. We clearly felt that profit was prioritized over quality. The longest evening of our lives. What a shame! Never again!!! Avoid at all costs.

23/02/2026: Valentine's Day meal 2026. Unbelievable for a fine dining establishment! On the aperitif menu, it says "Whisky Rum"? Which ones are you supposed to ask for? Actually, there's only one of each. I fill in the wine list: we have the names, not the appellations; you have to guess the color and origin. Great for choosing. We order a bottle of white wine, served lukewarm, at the same time as the aperitif. I ask for an ice bucket and am told "no ice." They bring me a bucket of tap water, so the wine doesn't chill at all! €40 a bottle... After four insistent requests and 35 minutes, they finally bring me a bucket with ice. I almost forgot the waiter, to whom I had to explain how to open the wine bottle, and who was butchering the cork, didn't offer a taste but poured both glasses directly. The only redeeming feature was a waitress who did her best to smooth things over in this complete fiasco. We were supposed to be in the gourmet restaurant, but instead we found ourselves in a noisy, overcrowded wedding hall. They claimed we should have been called to inform us of the change of venue; it was like this, but instead we went from this to this (see photos). I would have immediately canceled my reservation. The contrast is hard to swallow... and the price even more so! On top of that, they took so many people that everything arrived lukewarm; you had to rush to eat it at least somewhat hot. SHAMEFUL! The highlight of the show was the dessert! It's the same in all three restaurants at La Chartreuse... but the other two are brasseries! And to top it off, we were forced to order the same dessert for both of us—the whole nine yards! I gave it one star because I can't give it zero. My worst Valentine's Day since 1992. Le Robert 2 with a reception in a function room... Avoid at all costs! Taking reservations without informing customers of this surprise (let's call it that) is unacceptable, especially when they ask for such a large sum to be paid in advance! As an apology, they offered us complimentary drinks. I would have much preferred to enjoy a pleasant evening in a classy venue instead of being asked, "How long is this going to take? When will it end?"

03/07/2026: THE WORST FOOD SAFETY EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER WITNESSED a few years ago, on 2021, my family and i visited this Pizza Hut late at night. we were seated by a window with a clear view of the kitchen. while we were waiting for our food, i saw one employee open a can of olives. as soon as she smelled them, she made a disgusted face and even gagged, while another employee was washing dishes nearby. the first employee handed the olives to her, and while she was still at the sink, she smelled them several times and also looked disgusted. she then rinsed the olives in the same sink she was using to clean dirty dishes, before they were sliced and placed on a pizza that was served to another table. i can’t say for certain that the olives were spoiled because i never inspected them myself, but the employees’ reactions strongly suggested that something was wrong with them. watching that happen completely undermined my confidence in the food safety at this location. to be fair, the pizza we ordered was good. we were definitely a bit nervous after what we had seen, and inspected it before eating, but the pepperoni pizza tasted fine and we didn’t have any issues with our meal. i also want to mention that the service was very good. the employee at the front counter was kind, welcoming, and treated us very well, so i have no complaints about the customer service. however, i do think this location should be inspected to ensure that proper food safety and hygiene standards are being followed. based on what I personally witnessed, i believe it’s worth making sure everything is being handled correctly to protect both customers and staff. honestly i'm glad we didn’t order olives, because after witnessing that situation, i wouldn’t have felt comfortable eating them. i’m not trying to accuse anyone of anything—i can only describe what I personally saw—but it was enough to leave a very negative impression and make me question the food safety standards at this location.

29/05/2026: The Lebanese food was way overcooked, and the three-meat tacos were as small as the Lebanese ones. The fries were a bit of a joke.

02/05/2026: The meat was pretty good, and the sandwich looked appetizing. The only problem was the plastic residue on the meat, so hygiene-wise, it left something to be desired.

14/06/2026: Excellent rotisserie. I haven't lived in the neighborhood for 20 years, but I make a point of going back to Hauky's whenever I can. I love their Peking duck, their pork tongue (I discovered it here when I was a teenager, and I haven't had better since), and their spring rolls. It's true that the service was sometimes a bit cold; that's the only downside, in my opinion. I appreciate being able to discover dishes I'm not familiar with. I'm going there later and I don't understand the negative comments about the quality. Perhaps they're from competitors in the neighborhood (there are loads of them)? I recommend coming and seeing for yourself. For me, it's one of my must-try spots!

14/07/2026: They're currently short-staffed, which explains why the display is rather sparse mid-morning. It's a shame because their products are good.

20/06/2026: Today I came in for two three-cheese pizzas, and they told me they didn't have any. I politely asked if they could make them for me; it was 10:40 am... the cashier and the person in the kitchen refused, and the woman also refused. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and the poor service. Anyway, I left... I went to the one in La Varicelle, where I was greeted by a young man and a young woman... a very pleasant welcome, and I got my two three-cheese pizzas, carefully cut and prepared. After talking with some other customers, where I explained my situation, another customer told me that the downtown location has a recurring problem with the service and lack of empathy. My family and I will never go back. We'll go to La Varicelle, where they are much more welcoming, pleasant, and very kind. The customer is truly king there, unlike at your place. The manager needs to look into this.

22/07/2026: This review is not about the food or cleanliness, but about the excellent way the staff handled a lost item. We accidentally left our bag behind, and they kept it safe for us. Before returning it, they asked us a few questions to confirm that it genuinely belonged to us. We were very impressed by their professionalism, responsibility, and careful approach. Thank you for your excellent service!

11/11/2025: 8:30 am, no baguettes for sale at this bakery. That's just ridiculous! Even on a public holiday, I don't understand the concept of a bakery operating like this. So, you end up buying olive bread for €3.90, which means you have to search for the olives yourself. It smells like whole wheat bread, but it doesn't look like it...

01/11/2025: Marie Blachère, Mazan road. I ordered a Togo Togo yesterday and two things were missing from the package. I'm disappointed and will never order again.

18/05/2026: The chocolate croissants were served piping hot, as if they had just come out of the oven. As a result, the dough hadn't finished cooking and it wasn't very good.

16/02/2026: Food is bad quality. And staff is very slow. Instead of serving quick customers, they are chit chatting … unprofessional. Please avoid there.
