The saleswoman was unfriendly and careless; we are very, very disappointed. I do not recommend it! Neither the quantity, nor the quality, nor the friendliness...

03/07/2026: Avoid at all costs!!! This might be a bit long, sorry. Since the other restaurants on the street were either full or closed, we ended up at this "restaurant." The outdoor tables were, to say the least, dirty, wobbly, and unset. I walked past the kitchen, which was being run by a young woman who wasn't dressed appropriately for cooking... Anyway. We sat down and made our choices, though we were a little suspicious. There was a regular menu and a pizza menu. We ordered a set menu, which was more expensive in the evening than during the day, without any justification. Salmon for my friend, and for me, a warm goat cheese salad followed by hanger steak with shallots. The basics of French cuisine. Even the owner, while helpful, wasn't dressed appropriately for his customers. The "WARM" goat cheese salad arrived. A bed of lettuce, four wilted tomato wedges, and two large pieces of goat cheese log placed on two tiny pieces of bread. A little vinaigrette, and that was it. The goat cheese wasn't warm, nor melted, and certainly not browned. Not a hint of thyme, rosemary, or pepper, and—oh, the delight!—a drop of honey on top. Back to the kitchen they brought them back, meltingly tender and gratinéed. They came back practically the same. The goat cheese was of zero quality, tasteless. Then the main course arrived. It was supposed to come with fries, but according to the owner, they had dried out... I couldn't believe it. So, frozen green beans with a touch of garlic and parsley, also frozen. No seasoning whatsoever. The hanger steak was cooked well, at least, and the salmon too. What about my shallot sauce?! Instead of a sauce, just shallots sautéed in oil, like all the other garnishes. Honestly, a shallot sauce—either you know how to make it or you don't put it on the menu. For €25, it's a complete rip-off. I'm leaving this review to prevent tourists and others from discovering French cuisine in this kind of establishment. If you don't know how to do something, don't do it. One good point, perhaps, for the pizzas, which smelled good and looked—and I emphasize looked—edible. So, stick with those. Thank you for your attention... A former cook.

14/05/2026: I went there with some apprehension given the various reviews. Indeed, the decor is a bit dated, but the food was quite good. The waiter (owner?) was very pleasant. Don't rely too much on the reviews 🙂

29/06/2026: The most basic breakfast costs £9.90 and includes tea, coffee, fresh orange juice, a slice of bread with butter and jam, and a delicious croissant. Considering Parisian prices today, it's very affordable and tasty.

29/06/2026: It's next to the maison d'Isabelle who is famous for its beur croissant. You can sit here, order your croissant and q coffee without having to queue at the maison d'Isabelle.

09/11/2025: We went twice, once on a Saturday lunchtime in October and again today, Sunday lunchtime, and we found the door closed, even though there is no sign indicating that it is closed, so what's going on?

19/10/2025: We were very, very disappointed... The starter: a plate of charcuterie: two slices of rosettes and a slice of coppa, oily and clearly out of date! The fat was definitely grayish/green! I pointed this out to the waiter, who replied, "Well, it came straight from the fridge!" And left... Of course, I didn't eat it (for fear of getting sick). Then the main course: a piece of meat from the butcher (tiny, shriveled because it was full of sinews... in short, inedible... And for dessert: Tropésienne (a 3 cm slice cut from a supermarket Tropésienne) as dry as if it hadn't even been made that day! And when I went to pay at the register, I saw the cook taking the money and cooking again without washing his hands! What's more, I saw behind the bar counter, two plastic bins containing (stale croutons and green salad) out in the open, less than a meter from a trash can, with a simple fan to blow on them! If you don't want to get SICK, move on...

02/11/2025: To all people of foreign origin: Avoid this place at all costs!!!! To make it clearer, I'm a local. After I'd paid everything, the owner asked me to vote for Marine Le Pen or Bardella, even though I was with my husband, who is North African. He'd just been speaking to Bardella, so it was obvious he was North African, and visually there was no mistaking it. It's outrageous! When you're a business owner, you keep your political opinions to yourself. At the very least, stand by them and don't take money from foreigners. Luckily, we had a wonderful stay and were incredibly well received by the people of Balagne, because otherwise, what a deplorable impression you would have left us of this beautiful region.

02/11/2025: A disgrace. The manager is awful, speaks rudely to customers, and thinks he's above everyone else. A €15 ice cream that wasn't even worth €3—unheard of! No sense of service, no politeness whatsoever. You almost feel like you're bothering them when you pay. Avoid at all costs.

04/08/2026: Buy two slices of ham and cheese pizza!!! The crust was good!! The tomato sauce was insignificant (they weren't there on the day of distribution), and the ham was relatively small at €3.50 a slice, which is a real rip-off.

01/08/2026: Never again! What appalling service! The saleswoman was extremely unpleasant and irritable. I was so looking forward to coming in for some pastries, and she really put me off. As I told her, she certainly won't see me again. "Oh, I'll see others," she replied. Be careful, madam, if you treat all your customers like that, one day you'll be seeing the unemployment office, not customers.

28/07/2026: Once again, things are missing (the two desserts in the kids' meals). Weeks and months go by and there's no improvement. ...zero points. After the fries, a sandwich, a sharing box. Honestly, the worst McDonald's I know, by far. We'll complain again and/or go there in person and hope for compensation. Exhausting.

26/07/2026: Come as you are? Really? I stopped for lunch one day with my child, who has a disability and uses a wheelchair. Inside, the tables weren't large enough to slide the wheelchair underneath so he could eat comfortably. We decided to sit outside, where I could position his wheelchair at the end of the table without "getting in the way." But we were in full sun. I asked a pleasant, kind employee, who also has a disability, if it would be possible to have a parasol to protect my child from the sun. He said he would go and ask. To my great surprise, he came back and told me that his superiors had said it wasn't possible. He was very sorry and apologized several times, saying he understood because he also has a disability. I decided to go see his supervisor, and as if by magic, I was allowed to have a parasol... What infuriates me is that the employee wasn't listened to! A huge thank you to him for his kindness.

12/07/2026: I'm adding to my previous review: the café crème is €5!!! Next door it's €3. You can now read the rest of my review from a few months ago below. And to clarify, I came back here not because I'm a masochist, but because it's Sunday morning and the cafés in front of the Pradié fountain are closed... go figure... Previous review: The Google rating is well-deserved; the service is mediocre, which is regrettable considering the owner also runs the Chez Hubert restaurant next door, which is much appreciated. The worst part: they don't serve ice cubes with your fingers, and when you point it out, there's no apology, just "I'll talk to the manager." Well, now he knows! That's how you ruin a location of exceptional quality!

13/04/2026: Hygiene leaves much to be desired. The cleanliness of the room was not impeccable, which does not inspire confidence in enjoying a meal.

13/04/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience. The service was poor and the owner was yelling at his employees, which created a particularly unpleasant atmosphere. I finished my meal quickly and left. One thing is for sure: I won't be going back.

12/07/2026: Avoid at all costs! I bought €25 worth of tobacco and was refused access to the toilets because "tobacco is for takeaway only."

17/01/2026: I ordered cooked tuna and avocado maki yesterday, and I noticed a strange smell. At first, I thought I was imagining things, but I wasn't at all! I took the maki in my mouth, started chewing, and tasted a disgusting, rotten flavor. I spat it all out and almost threw up! The tuna wasn't fresh; it was expired. It's shameful! Six years later, I ordered from them again, not realizing it was them because I'd forgotten about them after six years. Anyway, I only ordered a dessert and two bottles of water, and they somehow managed to forget the water bottles and only included the dessert, which I haven't even tasted yet! In short, I wanted to leave them a bad review regarding the water, and imagine my surprise when I discovered I'd already left them that same bad review six years ago! I even remembered the scene where I was complaining about the maki rolls! It's clear that after six years, they haven't improved at all. I don't even understand how they managed to survive COVID; they're so bad!

23/01/2026: I don't understand why the restaurant is temporarily closed. We used to go there regularly, and suddenly it's gone. We were big fans and really disappointed to find the restaurant closed for months.

24/09/2025: Disappointment. The buffet looked nice, but it tasted reheated; nothing was crispy in the fried food, not even the rice. The wok was fine. I know many products can be frozen, but you can have things that don't come out of a microwave. A year or two ago, it wasn't like this; it was good, fresh, and crispy, so we went without hesitation. Well, no thanks, we won't be going back anytime soon.

05/04/2026: Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing you notice is the sour expression of the man behind the counter. In addition, as others have mentioned in reviews, he has a persistent, joyless look about his job. The question is: Why is he there? We don't know. Facing him, you feel like you're in front of an ordering machine, like the ones you see in some fast-food chains... And above all, there's no taste... I also noticed that orders aren't respected: two 100g portions of noodles, "put together," and strangely, the scale shows 400g. The prices don't match what's displayed. And of course, since offering different sized containers isn't enough to justify their prices, the cyborg behind the counter only has one line of code: cram in as much food as possible to make the scale go up, regardless of the container size. And it allows you to take initiative with orders. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. I suggest turning right around and going to other restaurants that are worth it.

21/04/2026: I've been ordering for years and I'm never disappointed. The food is always of the same high quality, the service is fast and efficient, the welcome is very pleasant, and the portions are generous.

26/03/2026: I knew Madame Shawn's restaurants when I was younger, and it was a pleasant surprise… or so I thought when I saw the offer on Uber Eats. The delivery arrived faster than expected. That's my only reason for being happy. No cutlery, even though I specified it in the order. What are you supposed to do when you're in a hotel? With your fingers… nice 🤨 The spring rolls were tasteless and not very crispy. The chicken had a strange smell, so I didn't eat it. Same for the fried rice. The dessert was very good. The only dish I finished. In the end, it cost almost €37, and it hurts to throw all that food away.
