03/10/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance (on our way south) and received a wonderful, family-style welcome (we loved it!). The food was excellent and the prices more than reasonable. We'll most likely be making it our go-to stop for future trips. The fried food is highly recommended, and so is the scoop of Chartreuse ice cream!

27/10/2026: A great experience in the heart of Besançon. You'll enter a small alleyway, passing through the middle of a period apartment courtyard. You'll find a beautiful wooden staircase. Once you push open the door, you'll go to eat in the basement, where there's no internet connection. Afterwards, let your cravings guide you, but don't forget to order the morels, which are very well prepared.

27/10/2026: Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, very pleasant waitress, delicious food. Excellent hygiene, well-maintained premises. Local specialties: Berthelot cheese was excellent, and the local kir from the Franche-Comté region was delicious. I highly recommend it.

28/09/2026: Superb homemade Vietnamese cuisine in this small restaurant/deli in the center of Nevers. We were able to have lunch on their small terrace; it was lovely and quite peaceful, even though it's located on the street.

08/07/2026: To be honest, this is an authentic Japanese restaurant. However, I was disappointed on several points. First, there was no clear sign to distinguish vegetarian dishes from non-vegetarian ones. Second, the prices were excessively high. Only 24 euros for a dish that contains no meat and isn't particularly impressive. Third, the yam was tasteless. It added no value whatsoever. And finally, the portions were ridiculously small. An appetizer with eggplant, or even the main course itself, was far too small. Nothing like the usual Japanese portion sizes. Especially since the dessert wasn't very appealing... Nevertheless, we received a very warm welcome. The staff is Japanese. It's a place to eat cold food. I don't think I would recommend this place. It's well located, but I think that at that price, you should leave with a full stomach and a mouthful of flavor. Even if the welcome is good, unfortunately that's not everything.

03/07/2026: A very solid spot for soba just a short walk from Paris’s Japanese quarter. The noodles weren’t quite outstanding on my visit—they were slightly overcooked and lacked some of the firm texture I look for in good soba—but they still made for a very satisfying ten zaru soba, especially on a warm summer’s day. Be sure to ask for the sobayu (the water used to cook the noodles) at the end of your meal and mix it with the remaining dipping sauce. It’s a traditional way to finish a soba meal, creating a light, comforting broth that’s as enjoyable as the noodles themselves. Add to that the pleasant interior and attentive service, and it’s an easy place to recommend.

19/09/2026: We're not from around here, and we just discovered this place. We can't give it 10 stars, but it absolutely deserves them! A wonderful welcome, perfectly balanced and delicate cuisine, a wonderful harmony of flavors, and top-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is calm and warm, and you'll have the pleasure of meeting Titou the dog! ☺️☺️

20/10/2026: A real advertising bait with their €15 thali, which was actually sold out at 12:20 pm (even though the big sign was still up to attract customers...). So we ended up paying €100 for four people instead of €60!!! The starters were very good, however, the butter sandwiches were much too salty and therefore didn't get eaten. Similarly, in the tofu butter sandwich, the tofu wasn't grilled at all as advertised... Likewise, the vegetable samosas contained only potato...what a vegetable! We asked for a free scoop of ice cream as compensation for the child (there should have been two in the thali), and they said yes, only to realize it had already been added to the bill... Clearly not the best Indian restaurant in the area! (Very friendly male waiter.)
